Orphaned non-free media (File:NZ Historic Places Trust.jpg)Thanks for uploading File:NZ Historic Places Trust.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media). If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. This is a repository of free media that can be used on all Wikimedia wikis. The image will be deleted from Wikipedia, but this doesn't mean it can't be used anymore. You can embed an image uploaded to Commons like you would an image uploaded to Wikipedia, in this case: [[File:The Colonial Cottage Museum, Wellington.jpg]]. Note that this is an automated message to inform you about the move. This bot did not copy the image itself. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 12:29, 5 February 2009 (UTC) Disputed fair use rationale for File:1931 election on willis street wellington.jpg}Thank you for uploading File:1931 election on willis street wellington.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check:
Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale. If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. Sorry if your watchlist gets a bit crowded over the next few days. If it's any consolation, mine will start getting more crowded too. I'm watchlisting every netball-related article on Wikipedia: some of the ANZ Championship articles are getting one-off IP edits. Looking at the information that's being added, I wonder if some of these players are contributing to their own articles. Cheers again. – Liveste (talk • edits) 23:03, 12 March 2009 (UTC) invitationYou're invited to sign up as a founding member, at Wikipedia:WikiProject Council/Proposals#WikiProject Historic Sites ! :) doncram (talk) 07:15, 15 March 2009 (UTC) Articles you might like to edit, from SuggestBotSuggestBot predicts that you will enjoy editing some of these articles. Have fun! SuggestBot picks articles in a number of ways based on other articles you've edited, including straight text similarity, following wikilinks, and matching your editing patterns against those of other Wikipedians. It tries to recommend only articles that other Wikipedians have marked as needing work. Your contributions make Wikipedia better -- thanks for helping. If you have feedback on how to make SuggestBot better, please tell me on SuggestBot's talk page. Thanks from ForteTuba, SuggestBot's caretaker. P.S. You received these suggestions because your name was listed on the SuggestBot request page. If this was in error, sorry about the confusion. -- SuggestBot (talk) 20:13, 30 March 2009 (UTC) Wellington reclamation animation.gifHi, great work on Wellington reclamation animation.gif, but I have a request and a question: 1) Could you slow down the frame rate a little? It's just a bit too fast to follow. 2) How come it doesn't show the significant natural changes to the shoreline wrought by the 1855 earthquake? Cheers, dramatic (talk) 00:17, 8 April 2009 (UTC) Alexander Turnbull images on CommonsHi, the bot is at http://toolserver.org/~bryan/flickr/upload It only gives PD options for licensing, so I'm assuming PD-old is appropriate (although I just uploaded one which is only 69 years old). However, each image on flickr says "no known copyright restrictions". I'm being relatively selective rather than going crazy uploading everything. dramatic (talk) 02:38, 20 April 2009 (UTC)

The ones I've looked at have no sources beyond those which confirm their listed status, and I believe that that fails notability guidelines. I think that if a set of things are each notable only for characteristic "A", then they belong in [[List of A]] instead. dramatic (talk) 09:48, 9 September 2009 (UTC)
On notabilitySo I went to the library and dug around for some books on historic buildings in Wellington. I found:
which collectively mentioned almost all of the Wellington historic places I had added (with the exceptions of Fort Ballance and Erskine College, Wellington which I think I could find in other books if I looked harder). Just to double check, does this pass the benchmark for notability? If so, might we still want to merge the articles nonetheless? Lanma726 (talk) 05:51, 20 September 2009 (UTC)
Please update your status with WP:VGDear WikiProject Video games member, You are receiving this message because you have either Category:WikiProject Video games members or {{User WPVG}} somewhere in your userspace and you have edited Wikipedia in recent months. The Video games project has created a member list to provide a clearer picture of its active membership. All members have currently been placed in the "Inactive" section by default. Please remove your username from the "Inactive" listing and place it under the "Active" listing if you plan on regularly:
Ideally, members are encouraged to do both, but either one meets our criteria of inclusion. Members still listed inactive at the beginning of November 2009 may be removed. You may re-add yourself to the active list at any time. Thank you for your help, and we look forward to working with you.
