A tag has been placed on Infrasoft technologies, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the article and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Hello everybody! Now that we are at least 5 members, we are able to officialize this thing. Don't you think it would be great if each one of us proudly displayed his membership by placing the Java Userbox on its user (or talk) page... (2009-10-23)
Hi supporters of the WikiProject Java! And thanks for your support. Now that we are more than 5 supporters, I gather from the Wikipedia guidelines that we CAN proceed with the groundwork, for releasing the project and portal in the open soon. To that effect, we would appreciate it very much if you could copy your name in the List of participants page. (2009-10-23)
Hi Kuwar, I recently reverted your edits to these pages for the following reasons:
An image gallery of Mumbai skyline is undue and unencyclopedic addition to the city article, especially one which is a featured article, i.e., represents the highest standards on wikipedia. Also the addition is against the manual of style guidelines for Indian city pages.
The additions to the Economy of India article were unsourced and also inappropriate, since the table in which you were adding/modifying items is the list of the 10 leading companies in India according to the Forbes 2007 list and hence your changes modified correct and sourced data.
A couple of pointers regarding editing in general:
In case your edits are reverted (especially by an experienced editor and not a vandal), and you disagree with the reversion, it is recommended that you discuss the edit on the article talk page before readding the information (see WP:BRD)
All the above comments aside, I welcome your efforts to improve India related content on wikipedia and hope you'll continue to contribute and collaborate. Please feel free to get in touch with me if you have any comments/questions. Regards. Abecedare (talk) 06:09, 18 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Regarding your query on my talk page: New York and Thane are not very good articles and shouldn't be used as models while editing Mumbai. Rather we should set our standard by the best articles on wikipedia, which are designated featured articles and of which, Mumbai is one (although recently the article has deteriorated especially in terms of having too many images, as is discussed here) Abecedare (talk) 06:15, 18 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
You can find instructions for proposing and execution article merges at WP:MERGE. However in theis particular case, it may be good to have separate articles on the cite Nandurbar and Nandurbar district since they need to include distinct location co-ordinates, maps and demographic and administration information. We can just add disambiguation tags to guide the reader. Good work on expanding the district article, but don't forget to cite the source from where you gathered the data. That is necessary as per wikipedia's verifiability policy. Cheers. Abecedare (talk) 11:02, 28 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
According to this page, Nandurbar is the name of a district, a taluka within the district as well as the main city in the district (this is very common situation in India, see Category:Districts of Maharashtra for example). So, although the current content of the district and city article greatly overlaps, the topic of the two pages is distinct and therefore they should be covered on different pages; see Pune district and Pune for (one of many) other instance where we do this.
Also, while adding content to the page we should be careful whether the source we are using refers to the city, taluka or the district since they all share the same name (another reason for citing your sources!). For example, the maps on the two pages seems to mark the location of the city rather than the district; this should be (eventually) corrected and the page should have a district map like the one on the Pune district page. Abecedare (talk) 11:28, 28 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
The best way to improve the article is to look at the WP:INDIST page for guidelines on how to organize the district article (WP:INCITIES has similar instructions for city pages). Note that if you have no information for some suggested section (say, Flora and fauna), then you can simply leave that section out. Some other things you can do:
Convert the lists into prose, for example along the lines, "nandurbur district has x primary schools with y students and z teachers." and most importantly,
Cite your references. I cannot emphasize this enough since without references any content you add is unverifiable and liable to be deleted!
No, I born and boughtup in shahada, but no buddy knows how the name given to the town. why dont you change the name of the article to shahada rather than shahadahKuwarOnline (talk) 12:48, 8 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Image copyright problem with File:ThaneNewTMTBus.jpg
Thanks for uploading File:ThaneNewTMTBus.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
File copyright problem with File:MastekBuildingMahape.jpg
Thank you for uploading File:MastekBuildingMahape.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.
File source problem with File:MastekBuildingMahape.jpg
Thanks for uploading File:MastekBuildingMahape.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.
I recently posted the following text on Wikipedia regarding the creation of a new computing-related project in Wikipedia:
'WikiProject Java is a Wikipedian community that aims to better organize information in articles related to the Java programming language and its platform.
If I'm cor-rec-to, there are about 900 articles on Java technology in Wikipedia, which may be more than ALL other programming languages articles combined...
At least, it's more than for C++, and there IS a C++ WikiProject...
And it's MUCH more than the .NET WikiProject with 82 articles...
There is also a Python project and a Ruby project so...
Now you can also see a proposal for the Java Portal (temp location).'
Hi Kuwar, and thanks for the support. Now that we are more than 5 supporters, I gather from the Wikipedia guidelines that we CAN proceed with the groundwork, for releasing the project and portal in the open soon. OK, thanks Vinod (that's your first name, right?) At this point, in order to get to launch, there remains 2 important tasks: a) change the Quiz subpage with more relevant questions OR b) fill the Selected_biography/2 subpage from an existing article (possible choices could be Bill Joy, Erich Gamma, Michael Kölling, Patrick Naughton, Todd Greanier, etc.) Among the charter members, I have a hunch that you are the best placed to do one of those. What do you think? Could you place your cute VK initials HERE and give it a try. As for timetable, I'd pretty much like to launch this think on Sunday/Monday (yes) so that gives you a criteria... I don't feel there are THAT much to do but I think it's still a must-do before launch. -- A l a i n R 3 4 5 Techno-Wiki-Geek07:37, 24 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Hi! Forget about the Bio, it's done. There remains a couple of questions in the Quiz subpage to change and the 3th priority: Update Did_you_know subpage before launch. Thanks for any help, -- Alainr345
Hi Alain, I m extremely sorry for this I wasnt intented to do it but I m still cant believe that I did it,,normally I do post on talk page.
KuwarOnline (talk) 10:07, 2 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Unfortunately, you took the same subject for article/9 than I did for article/10 two days before... Could you put something else in article/9 please, maybe Sun Micro or something. Then we can move on from the Portal to the WikiProject tasks. Thanks, -- Alain R 3 4 5 Techno-Wiki-Geek22:45, 17 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Hi again Vinod, there is a small emergency: I'm setting up things for Java in Wiktionary, and these people are on their turf; could you please go to this page and put a keep. We need that category if we want to have a single point of entry for Java-related material; these guys are tough really... Thanks immensely, -- Alain R 3 4 5 Techno-Wiki-Geek07:49, 17 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Ok Vinod many thanks, great effort. The next item of business of the Project, focusing out of the Portal, would be to resolve some questions; the actions we take further on depends on it: could you point yourself here and contribute an ounce of your brain... Thanks, -- Alain R 3 4 5 Techno-Wiki-Geek04:21, 21 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
The only other thing I can see that we can act on until some of those 5 questions are resolved by the team is to work on this issue, either by writing those articles (if they are really needed) or/and by expanding the list of wanted material (the so-called 'holes in the subject'). Thanks, AR
Hi!!Alain.. Well I really dont think we should create another article for Java ME SDK 3.0 as it already covered in [[1]] or Java_Platform,_Micro_Edition. Even if we create we need to add about latest version details like whats new in it, performance etc. Well let me know what u think on this and then we'll go on to create new article for same. Till time also let me know what else we can do more!!!! KuwarOnline (talk) 12:57, 23 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Hello Vinod, I don't know if you heard about our Canadian Prime Minister's visit to India... As for Java ME SDK 3.0, it is 'referred' to in those pages, but certainly not 'covered'!... As I understand it, the SDK is the latest incarnation of the JavaME toolkits. If that article is needed or not, I can't say, I only know somebody 'requested' it. Then again, if you want to do it is for you to decide.
On another subject, I reworked the Questions issue which is bugging us in going forward with the process of tagging. I'd appreciate if you could read it and contribute your ideas, especially on Question 2: the short story is simple, we now have about 881 articles tagged with Category:Java platform or a subcategory thereof; I think we need to grow that to over 1000 fast; the way to do that is to take existing Wikipedia articles that talk about Java somewhat, but are not YET categorized as such; I propose a way of doing that but would prefer input from the team before we proceed with this next step of the Project; all those operations (including what I call the 'BIGTO') will be massive and time-consuming and therefore I don't think anyone of us would like to do hundreds of edits before finding out we took the wrong approach... -- Alain R 3 4 5 Techno-Wiki-Geek22:24, 1 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Hi again Vinod and good holidays (I don't know if you get vacations in India this time of year...),
If you took a look at the project recently, you saw that the auto-tagging from bot operation is finished and therefore a lot more Java-related articles are now assessed. The next operation is named BIGTOP and is more manual in nature, and since you asked me repeatedly for work on Java, I thought you could be interested by this:
you go to that page, click on each link and edit the talk page by changing:
{{WikiProject Java}}
to:
{{WikiProject_Java|class=Stub|importance=Mid}}
P.S. In any case, could you back my latest pet-peave project by putting your name here, thanks.
Thanks for that Vinod, that ID project is taking off even faster than the Java one...
Now if you take a look at our to do page you'll see work is not lacking, I'll point you to a couple more current tasks that we consider important right now, as we are a fairly new project:
a) requires to be somewhat versed in Java. I'm personally working on b) but that's a vast task that can be worked out concurrently by many editors. So what would suit you better? Don't hesitate to ask for any clarifications. Bye, --AlainR345Techno-Wiki-Geek00:20, 9 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Vinod, when you go back to the list again, you will notice I organized it a bit more. But the main change is that I have 'declassified' some of the Good candidates. For example, does Java have long integers? certainly; but is that a particular feature of that language that almost no other language has? Not really... We're looking for articles that are written MAINLY about Java. Bye now, --AlainR345Techno-Wiki-Geek23:02, 13 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Vinod, hope you are well, I see you were not very active in the Uncategorized articles task. Wish you can resume that important work soon. In the meantime, could you go to this page and complement the answers as a second Java editor. That SignPost business will give us more exposure. Thanks, --AlainR345Techno-Wiki-Geek22:32, 3 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Alain, well i wasnt active for few days due to varies reasons.....anyways 2day onward i will.....so i will take up my pending task.....no worries..... KuwarOnline (talk) 07:22, 4 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Hello Vinod, I don't know what you're talking about... Hope it now works. I see you do good progress on the 'Uncategorized' list. I guess that list will be the last step in the startup process of the Java project. We can then sit and check all the automated lists produced by Wikipedia and improve individual Java articles on a case-by-case basis. That will be great! Also you may have noticed that several other people are now working on various parts of the project, that's encouraging. In the meantime, I did some minor edits on the list to try to help you (remove redlinks, ect.) But I must apologize because I changed 3 articles from Good to Bad (IDE, OSS and Tcl) and 1 from Bad to Good (Neo4j)... I think you can do the tagging of the Good articles by yourself now. I added the 3-step process right on the page. You can also see examples with the DONE articles. Keep up the good work! --AlainR345Techno-Wiki-Geek23:15, 22 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Vinod, since I had a little free time today, I cleaned the Uncategorized articles list a bit more. I was able to rapidly classify about 100 articles... Are you familiar with the Gadgets tab in your Preferences page? There's a 'Navigation popups' option there that should accelerate that process by 10, because many times you don't need to click on each link, just hover with your mouse to know the subject. If you have a second browser window open (in editing mode that one), the work moves real fast. If we could finish that page this month, the project could switch to the next priority, which will be to finish Assessment: as you may have seen on the project page, we now have almost 1000 assessed pages (but 400 more to assess). But that's next month. Thanks again for the help, --AlainR345Techno-Wiki-Geek19:17, 11 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
oops....sorry for very late reply..... yes i do familiar with the gadgets tab but the issue with my net connection...its very slow 256kbps....its wireless...so the javascript windows doesnt opens that fast...some it refuses to open.... well here is some new albums...
Interesting! Vinod, I cleaned the Uncategorized page again according to your input (and I changed 2 Apache articles from Bad to Good). I decided to begin Assessment in parrallel since we're in April and it's almost finished already. So between the 2 of us, I think we can get rid of the last 298 uncategorized articles real fast now. Keep up the good work! --AlainR345Techno-Wiki-Geek19:22, 26 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Alain,,, Happy to tell u that remaining articles has be categorized...hmmm it was very big task....but finally done...thanks for your help. KuwarOnline (talk) 12:03, 30 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Vinod, we have done it! I was waiting to acknowledge your work, for the last automated tagging but it seems to take longer than expected... Anyways, the meaning of all this is that the 'startup' phase of the Java project is finished. In the next days, the count of Unassessed-quality and ???-importance articles should fall to 0 in the WP1.0 table. The Java project then switches to its 'mature' phase. I encourage you to put your name in the todo page after one of the remaining tasks. You can also aim to be Coordinator if you so desire. Thank you again and see you around, --AlainR345Techno-Wiki-Geek19:44, 7 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
File source and copyright licensing problem with File:Force One commandos.jpg
Thanks for uploading File:Force One commandos.jpg.
As well as adding the source, we also need to know the terms of the license that the copyright holder has published the file under, usually done by adding a licensing tag. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you believe that the article or image is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the Creative Commons Attribution/Share-Alike License (CC-BY-SA) then you should do one of the following:
If a note on the original website states that it is licensed under the CC-BY-SA license, leave a note at Talk:Eastern Naval Command with a link to where we can find that note.
If you hold the copyright to the material: send an e-mail from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-enwikimedia.orgor a postal message to the Wikimedia Foundation permitting re-use under the CC-BY-SA and GFDL, and note that you have done so on Talk:Eastern Naval Command.
However, for textual content, you may simply consider rewriting the content in your own words.
