Your AfD conductWe may well have clashed in the past and may well clash in the future. Nonetheless, I wish to thank you for voting according to article merit, keeping in mind the full range of options, and even improving the target when it's possible. There are other things, such as keeping Wikipedia:There is no deadline in mind, but those fall under opinions and editing philosophies instead of common decency; that the latter is uncommon enough to be praiseworthy speaks volumes about the state of fiction on Wikipedia, but only makes it more valuable. --Kizor is in a constant state of flux 04:36, 24 December 2007 (UTC)

I've replied to your 3 questions. — Dihydrogen Monoxide (Review) 23:05, 29 December 2007 (UTC) New assessment examples. We really need some non-product examples in the quality assessment table. While I'd agree your choices are better than mine, it makes the table utterly redundant to anyone looking for examples of characters or other aspects of a video game beyond the box with the disc. My original choice to include some examples of developer and character articles was intended for this reason. -- Sabre (talk) 13:45, 30 December 2007 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free media (Image:Supreme Commander Logo.png)Thanks for uploading Image:Supreme Commander Logo.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media). If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 20:16, 30 December 2007 (UTC) Speedy deletion of Image:Supreme Commander Logo.pngA tag has been placed on Image:Supreme Commander Logo.png requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I5 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an image which is not under a free license or in the public domain and it has not been used in any article for more than seven days. If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding

To be honest, if something similar to my version gets used, I hope someone else does it; as my version is thrown together rather poorly to make it look a certain way. I'll see what I can do about incorporating your ideas. (Guyinblack25 talk 16:54, 2 January 2008 (UTC))
Fair use rationale for Image:De Volkskrant 01 05 2008.jpgThanks for uploading or contributing to Image:De Volkskrant 01 05 2008.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. Hewinsj (talk) 05:20, 7 January 2008 (UTC) QW & WikiquetteKrator, thanks for pitching in at the QW item. I want to concede to Ronz that the recent phase of the heated debate (so to speak) has been in user space talk pages, not the QW discussion page itself; I explain that more in my answer to you there. That said of course I agree with your asessment, I just want to concede a complication. Thanks, Pete St.John (talk) 21:25, 8 January 2008 (UTC)

I'm glad to see you had talked with him. However he is at it again [1] I was wondering if you might want to stop by his page and mention something again. I would do it but since he votes keep in almost everything I send to AFD it might be better if someone else dose it. It just get really annoying see him basically say "I like it" in dozens of AFD's. DeletedThe article Infinite Dimensions has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article seemed to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, but it did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the notability of the subject may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for musicians, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Peer ReviewHello. I've recently requested a peer review for Legacy of Kain: Defiance, and noticed on the peer review volunteers list that you review video game article. So I'd just like to bring this one to your attention. I feel the page has made some large steps towards becoming a much better quality of article than it was before, and I know it's not FA status, not even GA status, and thus am eager for suggestions on ways to improve it further. Any assistance you could provide would be greatly appreciated. you can review the article here. The Clawed One (talk) 06:03, 13 February 2008 (UTC)

I guess the system does work in this case! I'd ask if there's any template that's commonly used for assesments, or if it's mainly an encouraging critical analysis that's used? I don't want to put people off continuing to edit articles that they've obviously spent a lot of time and effort on, but by the same token I'd like to try and steer their efforts in the right direction instead of charging in blindly and editing myself. In terms of housekeeping, I'll update the Assesments page once I'm done working through an article. I'm definately keen on seeking adoption. I'm trying to be helpful and constructive but I'm also mindful of treading on other people's toes, talking out of turn or generating offense through honesty. I'd also be keen to understand what standards are used, so that I can make sure I adhere to them. If you're happy to take me on and show me a guiding hand, that'd be great! Many thanks! I'm hoping that a fresh pair of eyes will help to condense and rationalise any fluff I've introduced, as well as sharpening the prose and layout. Also, if you have any image suggestions that you think would liven up the article, please let me know. Many thanks!Gazimoff (talk) 23:33, 3 March 2008 (UTC)
Lemmings Peer ReviewCould I ask you take another look over the Lemmings (video game) article to see if I caught the issues you brought up? Thanks. --MASEM 17:32, 4 March 2008 (UTC) Being Bold in 24 hours...Thanks for the general advice about how I apporach articles. I guess I'm cautios due to my job (junior management). As such, I tend to take safe bets. It's why I edited the Criticism of Warcraft article directly - it's a subject that I'm familiar with and I was confident I could find high quality sources for. I edited the 24: The Game article in a sandbox as it's been heavily reworked - section orders changed, much of the text either condensed, rewritten or edited. It also took a number of days to complete, so I thought it would be better to present the finished article instead of having a potentially live broken or half-finished article. I've taken the reccomendation though and decided to be bold. The 24: The Game article will be changed to the new version shortly. Many, many thanks for your advice. Gazimoff (talk) 22:11, 4 March 2008 (UTC) HeyThanks again for your help with Legacy of Kain: Defiance. I'm using the feedback you gave there to also clean up Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver. I've also found developmental info for both, especially Soul Reaver, so I can add to those sections. Just letting you know. Thanks. I've Requested A Peer ReviewI've requested a peer review of Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver following an intense clean-up and restructuring of the article. Any feedback you can provide would be appreciated. The Clawed One (talk) 23:40, 15 March 2008 (UTC) Peer review ideaHi, I have made a proposal that no peer review request be archived without some response. To aid in this, there is a new list of PR requests at least one week old that have had no repsonses beyond a semi-automated peer review. This list is at Wikipedia:Peer review/backlog. There are just over 100 names on the PR volunteers page, so I figure if each of these volunteers reviewed just one or two PR requests without a response from the list each month, it would easily take care of the "no response" backlog (as there have been 2 or 3 such unanswered requests a day on average). If you would be able to help out with a review or two a month from the "no responses" backlog list that would be great (and much appreciated). Please discuss questions, comments, or ideas at the PR talk page and thanks in advance for your help, Ruhrfisch ><>°° 00:09, 16 March 2008 (UTC) Who am IIs that important? I don't think it is. Mentory shaped questionsSo I'm looking at putting some new articles together, but I was wondering if you'd recommended any tools to help speed up the process a bit. I was thinking of things like browser plugins for Firefox or maybe a separate program that you use. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Second up, there's GameRanger. The article has been put up for deletion. It's been consistently vandalised by Fudgeman29, Demons2oo5, Wing44 and Tenobkers amongst others. What's the procedure on dealing with this? Third up, I noticed there's a backlog of articles waiting for review as good articles. Is there a way I can help with clearing this backlog? Hope you had a good break!Gazimoff (talk) 12:17, 21 March 2008 (UTC)
WP:SYNThanks for checking in on the discussion at Wikipedia talk:Synthesis on video games. I've put together a strawman proposal. I tried to take into account your concerns by focusing on WP:V and WP:NPOV. I'm hoping we can have a constructive discussion. If you disagree, I think it would be just as helpful to put together a counter-proposal. WP:SYN needs to be clarified either way. Even on the discussion page, it looks like people think the "exception" I'm talking about already exists.
