Chris Beech (born 1974)Often confused with the Chris Beech (born 1975), Chris did not infact play for Doncaster or Carlisle and ended his career in league football at Rochdale AFC. He did play non-league footballer for Fleetwood following his time at Rochdale but only briefly - so the information you have regarding the end of his career (stats included) are false. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.187.163.10 (talk) 13:17, 1 February 2019 (UTC) I have unreviewed a page you curatedHi, I'm Boleyn. I was hoping that you would consider reviewing another NBA prospect's article, Zion Williamson, for GA consideration, because they are quite similar in format. He's my cousin and he recons he's 172cm. The 184cm comes from confusion with the Australian motorcyclist Josh Sheehan which has been wrongly copied on some web sites https://xfighters.redbull.com/en_MX/athlete/josh-sheehan. You've now replaced a dead link with a wrong link.22:09, 9 February 2019 (UTC)
Cardiff City F.C.Hello: The copy edit you requested from the Guild of Copy Editors has been completed. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. I did remove duplicate Wikipedia links from the body of the article and made sure sources were only linked once. I did not remove any duplicate links from any of the tables since they are useful there to readers. As a rule headings are not supposed to be linked to other articles as they have been in the "Honours" section. Again, I have left them for the readers' convenience but an FA reviewer may insist they be removed or linked in some other way. Best of luck with the FA review. WikiCup 2019 March newsletterAnd so ends the first round of the competition. Everyone with a positive score moves on to Round 2. With 56 contestants qualifying, each group in Round 2 contains seven contestants, with the two leaders from each group due to qualify for Round 3 as well as the top sixteen remaining contestants. Our top scorers in Round 1 were:
These contestants, like all the others, now have to start scoring points again from scratch. Between them, contestants completed reviews on 143 good articles, one hundred more than the number of good articles they claimed for, thus making a substantial dent in the review backlog. Well done all! Remember that any content promoted after the end of Round 1 but before the start of Round 2 can be claimed in Round 2. Invitations for collaborative writing efforts or any other discussion of potentially interesting work is always welcome on the WikiCup talk page. Remember, if two or more WikiCup competitors have done significant work on an article, all can claim points. If you are concerned that your nomination—whether it is at good article candidates, a featured process, or anywhere else—will not receive the necessary reviews, please list it on Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews. If you want to help out with the WikiCup, please do your bit to keep down the review backlogs! Questions are welcome on Wikipedia talk:WikiCup, and the judges are reachable on their talk pages or by email. Good luck! WikiCup 2019 May newsletterThe second round of the 2019 WikiCup has now finished. Contestants needed to scored 32 points to advance into round 3. Our top four scorers in round 2 all scored over 400 points and were:
Other notable performances were put in by Barkeep49 with six GAs, Ceranthor, Lee Vilenski, and Canada Hky, each with seven GARs, and MPJ-DK with a seven item GT. So far contestants have achieved nine featured articles between them and a splendid 80 good articles. Commendably, 227 GARs have been completed during the course of the 2019 WikiCup, so the backlog of articles awaiting GA review has been reduced as a result of contestants' activities. The judges are pleased with the thorough GARs that are being performed, and have hardly had to reject any. As we enter the third round, remember that any content promoted after the end of round 2 but before the start of round 3 can be claimed in round 3. Remember too that you must claim your points within 14 days of "earning" them. If you are concerned that your nomination—whether it is at good article nominations, a featured process, or anywhere else—will not receive the necessary reviews, please list it on Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews Needed (remember to remove your listing when no longer required). Questions are welcome on Wikipedia talk:WikiCup, and the judges are reachable on their talk pages or by email. Good luck! How strange that this came up about a former ITFC manager just a few days later! The Rambling Man (talk) 18:44, 24 June 2019 (UTC)
Interesting SubjectHello mate, I've just read one of the football player wiki page Alphonse Areola and I noticed one of the edit that was reverted was due to "no citation" regarding his move to Milan, which is still negotiated by both PSG and A.C. Milan. The question is if the move is still on the negotiation process, in which such news are published by the media one of them is through this link, [1] , can we post it on the wikipedia? Or it's better to wait until the transfer is completed? Cheers 182.1.125.115 (talk) 03:34, 27 June 2019 (UTC)
References Possible RfA nomHello. I'm considering nominating you for RfA. You might say that the first hurdle (if you're interested in RfA) is deciding if that's a good thing or bad. I'll take no offence if you say no thanks for any reason or none. If you're interested, please have a read of User:Dweller/Tips for aspiring future admins and let me know the answers to your questions. Thanks --Dweller (talk) Become old fashioned! 14:38, 26 June 2019 (UTC)

New Page Review newsletter July-August 2019Hello Kosack,
More new features are being added to the feed, including the important red alert for previously deleted pages. This will only work if it is selected in your filters. Best is to 'select all'. Do take a moment to check out all the new features if you have not already done so. If anything is not working as it should, please let us know at NPR. There is now also a live queue of AfC submissions in the New Pages Feed. Feel free to review AfCs, but bear in mind that NPP is an official process and policy and is more important.
Articles are still not always being checked thoroughly enough. If you are not sure what to do, leave the article for a more experienced reviewer. Please be on the alert for any incongruities in patrolling and help your colleagues where possible; report patrollers and autopatrolled article creators who are ostensibly undeclared paid editors. The displayed ORES alerts offer a greater 'at-a-glance' overview, but the new challenges in detecting unwanted new content and sub-standard reviewing do not necessarily make patrolling any easier, nevertheless the work may have a renewed interest factor of a different kind. A vibrant community of reviewers is always ready to help at NPR.
The backlog is still far too high at between 7,000 and 8,000. Of around 700 user rights holders, 80% of the reviewing is being done by just TWO users. In the light of more and more subtle advertising and undeclared paid editing, New Page Reviewing is becoming more critical than ever.
NPR is triage, it is not a clean up clinic. This move feature is not limited to bios so you may have to slightly re-edit the text in the template before you save the move. Anything that is not fit for mainspace but which might have some promise can be draftified - particularly very poor English and machine and other low quality translations.
Remember to use the message feature if you are just tagging an article for maintenance rather than deletion. Otherwise articles are likely to remain perma-tagged. Many creators are SPA and have no intention of returning to Wikipedia. Use the feature too for leaving a friendly note note for the author of a first article you found well made or interesting. Many have told us they find such comments particularly welcoming and encouraging.
Admins are now taking advantage of the new time-limited user rights feature. If you have recently been accorded NPR, do check your user rights to see if this affects you. Depending on your user account preferences, you may receive automated notifications of your rights changes. Requests for permissions are not mini-RfAs. Helpful comments are welcome if absolutely necessary, but the bot does a lot of the work and the final decision is reserved for admins who do thorough research anyway.
School and academic holidays will begin soon in various places around the Western world. Be on the lookout for the usual increase in hoax, attack, and other junk pages. Our next newsletter might be announcing details of a possible election for co-ordinators of NPR. If you think you have what it takes to micro manage NPR, take a look at New Page Review Coordinators - it's a job that requires a lot of time and dedication. Article ConfusionHey bro, I recently posted something about the contradiction at the beginning of Tobin Heath's Wikipedia page. I feel like as I'm a little less experienced and you were the one who replied to my comment that maybe you could do something about it. If you don't remember what it was, in her bio it states her place of birth as Basking Ridge, New Jersey while in the first paragraph of the first section it states her place of birth as Morristown, New Jersey, a town some 7 miles away. Thank you, Goontalk —Preceding undated comment added 16:14, 30 June 2019 (UTC) Unfortunately it requires I be a resident of Hanover Twp or pay $3 to access the article. I might attempt to find another source but I worry these sources will be influenced by the Wikipedia article. Alternatively I could just email the newsletter if I can find their email. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Goonsnick (talk • contribs) 17:22, 30 June 2019 (UTC)

DYK nomination of 1924–25 Cardiff City F.C. seasonHello! Your submission of 1924–25 Cardiff City F.C. season at the Did You Know nominations page has been reviewed, and some issues with it may need to be clarified. Please review the comment(s) underneath your nomination's entry and respond there as soon as possible. Thank you for contributing to Did You Know! Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 01:18, 2 July 2019 (UTC) WikiCup 2019 July newsletterThe third round of the 2019 WikiCup has now come to an end. The 16 users who made it to the fourth round needed to score at least 68 points, which is substantially lower than last year's 227 points. Our top scorers in round 3 were:
Contestants managed 4 (5) featured articles, 4 featured lists, 18 featured pictures, 29 good articles, 50 DYK entries, 9 ITN entries, and 39 good article reviews. As we enter the fourth round, remember that any content promoted after the end of round 3 but before the start of round 4 can be claimed in round 4. Please also remember that you must claim your points within 14 days of "earning" them, and it is imperative to claim them in the correct round; one FA claim had to be rejected because it was incorrectly submitted (claimed in Round 3 when it qualified for Round 2), so be warned! When doing GARs, please make sure that you check that all the GA criteria are fully met. If you are concerned that your nomination—whether it is at good article nominations, a featured process, or anything else—will not receive the necessary reviews, please list it on Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews Needed (remember to remove your listing when no longer required). Questions are welcome on Wikipedia talk:WikiCup, and the judges are reachable on their talk pages or by email. Good luck! If you wish to start or stop receiving this newsletter, please feel free to add or remove your name from Wikipedia:WikiCup/Newsletter/Send. I need your help to review another article I created Draft:Anissa Lahmari. Not sure what has gone wrong with it! I will really appreciate if you could go through it! Thanks in advance. Hi @Kosack:, I have made the article like I usually do and someone put it in draftspace. How could it look like an article again? I have added about 6-7 sources in it now. I thought maybe you could help it with reviewing? I am not sure how this works.
Lebanon women's national team GA reviewHi, I've noticed that your had taken on the GA review for 1999 FIFA Women's World Cup (which is now a FA!). With Lebanon women's national football team being the only GA nominated article related to women's football, I was wondering if it were possible for you to start the review? Thanks. DYK for Welsh Premier League Golden BootOn 19 July 2019, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Welsh Premier League Golden Boot, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Rhys Griffiths has won the Welsh Premier League Golden Boot more times than any other player, winning for seven consecutive seasons between 2006 and 2012? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Welsh Premier League Golden Boot. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Welsh Premier League Golden Boot), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page. — Amakuru (talk) 00:02, 19 July 2019 (UTC) DYK for 1924–25 Cardiff City F.C. seasonOn 20 July 2019, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article 1924–25 Cardiff City F.C. season, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. Putting that he's from the capital is unreliable, i have Arabic language videos where he said that he's a villager and used to go every day to the capital (meaning that he's not from the city). That was my point and thank you. 41.234.168.3 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 19:24, 21 July 2019 (UTC)
Player inclusion/exclusion in club categoriesHello. Thanks for your notifications about removal of my edits to Jorgen Nielsen and Stuart Taylor. I consider that I was correct. However, I can also see that there is a serious lack of consistency in the Football Project and think we need to take it to general discussion. Liverpool, Wolves, Man City & Southampton categories clearly state that they apply ONLY to past and present players. Nielsen and Taylor DID NOT PLAY for the clubs, so either the category should not be shown in their article, OR (and perhaps this is something you would prefer) the parameters for inclusion in club categories Project-wide need to change. The inclusion parameters at club categories for Arsenal and Yeovil Town are examples you may like to look at. Cheers, RossRSmith (talk) 00:03, 27 July 2019 (UTC)
