- Hello Ematchkay, thanks for your message. I've stopped doing AfC reviews. If you've submitted it, another reviewer will be able to review it for you. Kohlrabi Pickle (talk) 06:58, 2 March 2021 (UTC)

- Thank you, Hums4r! This means a lot. :) Kohlrabi Pickle (talk) 15:34, 17 January 2021 (UTC)
Hallo old boy. I see that your exams finish tomorrow! I hope everything went well and I look forward to seeing you back from your wikibreak. I am currently (though slowly)creating my first article and would welcome any advice from a seasoned veteran such as yourself. All the best and I look forward too hopefully seeing you in real life at some not too distant point. Jtrrs0 (talk) 20:43, 18 March 2021 (UTC)
- Jtrrs0, my friend! Everything went swimmingly, thanks. The LPC is mightily manageable, even if it has all the intellectual engagement of watching paint dry.
- The article on the Spanish statesman is looking very stately indeed. References look solid (though admittedly I haven't read them as my Spanish is Duolingo-level). Subject looks both eminently notable and a fascinating character. Some points on the manual of style come to mind, but there's no need to worry too much about those until you've got a draft out. Seems to me like you're at a stage where all you need to do is keep typing away until you're satisfied that it's reasonably complete. I'm happy to do a little tidying up on points of style as you add to it, as long as it doesn't interrupt your flow.
- And most importantly - yes! Very much hope to see you again in person very soon. I hope final year has been fulfilling so far, at least as much as circumstances permit. Kohlrabi Pickle (talk) 11:12, 19 March 2021 (UTC)
- Glad to hear it all went well!
- Thanks for your kind comments! I should also probably disclose to you, as I have done in my new user page (which I
shamelessly stole based off yours) that he is an ancestor of mine so there is a degree of COI. I believe I am capable of separating one thing from the other and edit neutrally, but in your view is it appropriate for me to continue writing it? If so I believe I need to submit it to WP:AFC. Thanks for your help! Jtrrs0 (talk) 11:56, 19 March 2021 (UTC)
- @Jtrrs0: What an illustrious lineage - is that your great-grandfather? I think it's fine for you to keep writing. It would be a very good idea to put the article through AfC, which I think it will easily clear; from the sources on the draft so far, your ancestor seems eminently notable. I do AfC reviews once in a blue moon, so I can help you with that. Kohlrabi Pickle (talk) 14:48, 19 March 2021 (UTC)
- Haha, thanks, yes. Thanks for your help! I'll let you know when I feel it's closer to finished to get your view on things. Jtrrs0 (talk) 11:39, 21 March 2021 (UTC)
Hi, I am wondering why this page is not deemed acceptable for notoriety when I followed a template from another young politician who has a wikipedia page (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bushra_Amiwala).
Please let me know!
Thetangent24 (talk) 20:22, 21 March 2021 (UTC)
- Hello, Thetangent24. In order for Mussab Ali to be considered notable, he has to either (1) meet the general notability guideline, or (2) the specific notability guidelines for politicians. I considered both points. For point (1), in my assessment, most of the coverage is WP:ROUTINE and therefore does not indicate his notability. For point (2), politicians are only presumed notable once they hold elected office at the state level.
- To your question on why it is not acceptable given the article on Bushra Amiwala, see WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS. Wikipedia is big and difficult to keep perfect, so the existence of other articles is not a good justification to keep another. If anything perhaps that article’s position needs to be reconsidered.
- This wasn’t clear-cut so you can always resubmit if you like, and perhaps another reviewer will feel differently. All the best. Kohlrabi Pickle (talk) 01:24, 22 March 2021 (UTC)
