Swarna Kamal v Rajat Kamal

After many of the category names were changed in the recent NFA, it is confusing how to arrange them. For example, for Best Film in AVGC, there are two sub-categories, one is Swarna Kamal and the other is Rajat Kamal. However, currently both are placed within Swarna Kamal. I've told you quite a few times, the AfC process is incompetent and won't pass any article unless it is C class worthy. You should've moved it straight to the mainspace without going through the AfC process. As for Tamil films, many articles were already created as stubs before I discovered the Kalki reviews in 2021. Couple of things:

• The title card and poster both read 16 Vayanthinile! What does the CBFC certificate say?
• The credits lists many actors in the opening credits. Were you not able to find the roles of any of them?

Sivakasi references

Hate to drop a bomb, but the current sourcing in this article could spark a deletion debate.

• Several users are against The Times of India (bribery?). Many could argue that at least one of the TOI sources is a passing mention. It needs at least 1 Chennai Online review. @Srivin:

These "roadblocks" are what stopped my GA/FA pursuit a few years ago. My bitter experiences at Mullum Malarum and Sathi Leelavathi are contributing factors. Varumayin Niram Sivappu's Telugu version

@Kailash29792:, I know that the Telugu film Aakali Rajyam which was actually partially dubbed and reshot version of Varumayin Niram Sivappu, the lead actor Kamal Haasan was awarded Filmfare Award for Best Actor – Telugu for Aakali Rajyam, then shouldn't it have a separate article? Like Alaigal Oivathillai and Seethakoka Chilaka have separate articles, and please also say something about the David (2013 film), the Tamil version of David had good publicity and respect, why shouldn't it have a separate article? @Hamwal: Although saying that it is partially dubbed and partially reshot is original research, since most of Aakali Rajyam was dubbed, it shouldn't get a separate article. You can add the review by Zamin Ryot here (on page 9 right side) and an award. The review can be used to source the character names. I know for a fact that boys and girls did not get a Chennai Online review. It only had a The Hindu and Behindwoods production source. As for the second film, I am opposed to redirect, since the film's songs are popular and The New Indian Express article was published a year after release. Hello,

A film can generally be considered notable with 2 reviews from reliable sources (but even then, some users may say "only may be" over and over again, which is technically correct but obviously exaggeratedly demanding). But a film can be considered notable without them, by meeting general requirements and not the specific guideline, for example if coverage on production is significant and from reliable sources, or for other reasons (its music has received coverage can be one of them). Other criteria can apply (important culturally, important in the career of a major artist). Etc. So, even if the 2 or 3 reviews are challenged, I personally would leave the pages like that and leave the review on the page. The "consensus" on BehindWoods seems rather recent, for example, and I would tend to disagree there's even a consensus about it. Many sources that have been added are maybe not of the best quality but to list them as plainly unreliable is quite extreme and seems to be the decision of one user with links to rather short sections with few participants... At this rate, only huge Indian blockbusters will have a page and half of old films are going to be deleted. Very concerning to see the ITF shifting like this. Look at the recent page history.....or at Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Ha_Khel_Sawalyancha. I mentioned the issue on the page of the closer. -My, oh my! (Mushy Yank) 07:07, 14 October 2024 (UTC)

Mushy Yank, RangersRus is on a rampage deleting IndiaGlitz and Behindwoods even from pre-2010 South Indian film articles. While he isn't without merit, IndiaGlitz and Behindwoods are essential to preserving such films as they don't have many alternate sources. Kaththi cast

No need for GA, but it would be great to make the cast section sourced. 40 actors played elderly roles of which 10 are named. @Manick22: Do we know who played who? [11]

It would be beneficial if I could access all of The Times of India articles from the early 2000s written by G S Kumar. When I do a search [12], it doesn't list all of them: [13]. I wish I could access all of the archives relating to Kannada cinema from 2000-2005 so that poorly sourced articles can be sourced. G S Kumar might have only written 10-15 articles maximum. I didn't appreciate your wholesale revert of my edits, and I don't think it was appropriate for you to mention in the edit summary the temporary block that had been placed on me. Wholesale reverts are discouraged, unless all the changes made are seen to be unconstructive, and I had been blocked temporarily for reasons I've disputed. Maybe one day, you'll be at the receiving end of an action you feel is excessive or unfair, and then perhaps you'll understand how I felt. My plan for Viggy.com

So hats off for standing by this site, despite other users dismissing it is a blog. I knew that the site was made by Roopa (full name Roopa Hegde) and an unknown person [14] but luckily that unknown guy is a reputed film critic himself.

My plan for this website is to make an article for B. N. Subramanya, the founder of Viggy.com since he won various awards including a sub-category at the National Film Awards [15] and not the company itself. You can see my sandbox had an article, but it was all passing mentions. So inherently that should make all viggy.com articles notable as they were likely written by him (he is called as the backbone of the site here). Only explicit articles where the author is specified can it be confirmed that it wasn't written by him [16] (by Roopa Hegde). DareshMohan (talk) 07:33, 19 November 2024 (UTC)

Credits order

These two articles, since the cast order is non-traditional keep getting reverted despite me trying to reinstate the title credits order: Marina (2012 film) [17] and Kannamoochi Yenada [18]. Vanitha Krishnachandran not in Nenjathai Killathe

Just noticed this error. You can clearly see from youth she has same facecut [19]. The Ramya character is played by somebody else [20] with the same first name. I checked another of Vanitha Krishnachandran's films that released during the same time for confirmation [21]. We can confirm with @Srivin:. The producer of Good Bad Ugly never said that it will release in May, but he hinted that it has been postponed from Pongal release.
