Hello Jetstreamer, thank you for your work reviewing New Pages!
Overall the June backlog drive was a success, reducing the last 3,000 or so to below 500. However, as expected, 90% of the patrolling was done by less than 10% of reviewers.

Egyptair pageHi, I have noticed a revert to EgyptAir page. Please be informed that the all caps for EGYPTAIR is because of their branding guidelines of 2008. They have merged Egypt with Air into an all caps one-word. You will notice these changes on their website and printed content.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Mosalm (talk • contribs)

Please don't undo workHello. I am Bro Dude51. I can see you everywhere helping everyone with edits from wikis. But on the Qatar Airways page, please do not undo my work. I understand that there is no space to put two pictures but I put an image of an A350-1000 that I hope works with you. I am sorry for calling you an idiot, but I would like an image of an A350-1000. Thank you, Bro Dude51 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 10:37, 7 September 2018 (UTC) Re: 114.204.41.84Hello, I saw that you already left a few messages on that IP's page. They are making a lot of edits on aviation-related pages, which sometimes are weird but also not clearly vandalism, as far as I can see. I've left a friendly message to maybe get them to communicate to someone. However I'm at a loss what to do with all the edits they have made. They aren't clear vandalism, and also often huge and confusing. I doubt many average editors will take time to review them. I frankly don't have time to dive into that either; but I also don't want to start blanket reverting (at least not before they had the chance to explain what they're doing). As you seem deeper into the topic than I am, I wanted to check if you have suggestions or could lend a hand. Thanks, Averell (talk) 07:13, 10 September 2018 (UTC)
Air SerbiaHi. Thanks Jetstreamer for letting me work on the article in stages and adding sometimes sources afterwords. Just a minor remark: the part you tagged as usourced was basically the only one that I didn´t touched and was there before my expansion. I just added to the sentence a further info that the hub was always in Belgrade. FkpCascais (talk) 00:27, 13 September 2018 (UTC) I do not intend to expand it further, I think the most important aspects are there and I think I menaged to make a fluid, not too short but neither too long, history section. Now I will focus on sourcing what was left unsourced and add only if I find in them something worth mention. I value very much your experience in editing these aviation articles and your suggestions are welcomed. Regards, FkpCascais (talk) 00:59, 13 September 2018 (UTC)
Reversion in LAPA Flight 3142You were actually right about the info being in the sources. Could I revert and fix the typo? Tigerdude9 (talk) 18:09, 14 September 2018 (UTC) Iberia pageHi re the Iberia fleet, I spent a fair amount of time researching for sources to update the fleet table and also to evidence the IB A320 family orders. By removing perfectly valid info that also aids the traveller when planning, you've now wasted my time and effort. Further, a source for the IB fleet orders is also needed and required by wikipedia policy; so not sure why you removed that? Also, the "Business Plus" line I wrote is important as it is for longer routes and thus distinguishable from normal short haul economy. It's likely a similar product will be rolled out over longer routes as IB expand, thus rendering its inclusion necessary. Ross-shire (talk) 17:21, 14 September 2018 (UTC)

Regarding approving Indigo pageHi,For the edit that changed the number of destinations provided by Indigo from 52 to 57. Before Accepting: I added this site https://www.goindigo.in/about-us.html?linkNav=about-us_footer. This site clearly states the number .I added the link in the box where you mention a reason for accepting the edit. I'm not sure where i can see my reason though. Since the homepage for Indigo airlines was already provided below in the same info table, and since the number of destinations was previously left uncited. I thought there was no need to refer it again. I guess i will have to provide(and add) references for everything then. Thank you for correcting me, I will keep that in mind. Ercan is the airport name, North Nicosia is what Wikipedia article calls the city, disambiguation page lists it as such as well but in airport articles it's being listed as Ercan instead of having city name i.e Ercan International Airport|North Nicosia, it could even be North Nicosia-Ercan or North Nicosia (Ercan). Does the city name have no validity in wiki despite hosting an article on the same, is the city officially/internationally just Nicosia with the northern part informally being referred to as North Nicosia by some? in Turkish its called Lefkosa which is all of Nicosia both North and South, is that why it is being listed as Ercan instead because one can't use the Turk name in English Wiki nor do people consider it as North Nicosia? can it be listed as Nicosia-Ercan, what is Wikipedia's stance on this issue?45.116.232.46 (talk) 13:51, 1 November 2018 (UTC)

Indian airports by far are the most difficult to maintain esp when users are hell bound in moving the page to add the word international and also to state that the airport is international as soon as the Indian government grants the tag. Shouldn't any airport first become a customs airport and then international? I raised the issue of the naming of airports a while back at WT:AIRPORTS hoping to have a good long discussion, but that seem to have just not interested all the users. But the issue with stating if an airport is international also exists. I can't entirely blame users here, it's how the Airports Authority of India projects these. Let me know your thoughts. — LeoFrank Talk 18:06, 24 November 2018 (UTC) Airlines and destinations tables in airport articlesHi Jetstreamer, hope you are fine. We had our disagreements in the past but I definitelly find you a colleague editor to turn to when I need advice over issues regarding airlines and airports cause I appreciate very much the work you have been doing here on the project. Now I definitelly need your advice. Its about the tables in airport articles. I don´t know if you are aware of what is going on at Talk:Sofia Airport. The article was proposed for Featured article and in the process editors came with strong conviction the Airlines and destinations tables at airport articles brake the WP:RECENTISM, WP:NOTDIR, WP:PROMO, WP:NOTTRAVEL rules. The problem is that if the table gets removed there, it will open way for being removed from all airport articles. That will totally change the airport articles alltogether. In my view, this is a decition that defines the style Wikipedia is opting for. Having the tables definitelly makes Wikipedia a modern updated user-oriented informative online encyclopedia, while removing them brings Wikipedia back to what classic encyclopedias are. Aware of the potential of such decition, I tried to bring it to the atention of major decition makers User_talk:Jimbo_Wales#Airports but I think I made a bit of a fool myself there cause, not sure if I was menaging to point out that such an apparently minor decition will actually change the entire style of the segment of airport articles, I ended up there going in cyrcles and make a mess. Anyway, what leaves me warried is that editors seem unaware not only of this aspect, but that the decition of removing the tables will actually worsten the problem of WP:PROMO and edit-wars. In the tables we have at least all airlines and destinations given equal importance and weight, not favouring any company, while having just prose (suposedly adding just selectivelly the most important airlines and routes) will create a huge problem. What criterium will be used for adding info about some airline and destination in the article? Whatever the criterium, there will allways be editors wanting to add their favourite airline or destination. I am affraid anarchy will be created and much more work on patrolling the articles for us. Maybe I am exagerating, I dunno. What do you think? FkpCascais (talk) 21:19, 24 November 2018 (UTC) And one more thing. I am not sure if people knows that there is actually not much literature about airports. If we remove those lists, many minor airports will basically be left with hardly and content. I think that is also a problem. What I reminded is if we could make separate articles for each airport having just the airlines and destinations, as in case of airliners destinations, but in this case, airport airlines and destinations? If we could basically remove the table from the article, and create a separate article just with the table? FkpCascais (talk) 21:33, 24 November 2018 (UTC) Jetstreamer I have an idea! (you must be thinking I´m crazy haha) Lets do that, lets remove the tables from the airport articles and make separate articles with them, so that way the info and the hard work of people that made them and updated them is not thrown to garbage. Also, same as in airliners destination lists, include the former airliners that served the airport and former destinations! All properly sourced obviously. I personally allways wanted that info. if you know any website which lists former airlines and destinations airports had, let me know. My only concern is if this new set of articles containing just this tables will be allowed. I guess in this case it would be like Sofia Airport airlines and destinations list, and then same for all airports. What you think? FkpCascais (talk) 21:48, 24 November 2018 (UTC)
Ethiopian at IstanbulNo they will be flying to new aitrport, airlineroute makes sure airport is mentioned for cities with more than one, information is sourced from GDS, in the ref link I had attached you can see a Moscow airport is named and not just Moscow, when they first reported Istanbul route launch in June to start from November the new airport was expected to be open for all, so clearly ET was going to fly there hence just Istanbul instead of Istanbul-Ataturk, same now for March when new airport will be fully functional and open for all from January and Ataturk will close for passenger traffic, also all airlineroute posts for Istanbul launches prior to 29 October do mention airport to be used, be it Ataturk or Gokcen. I know ET web schedule shows Ataturk for March, but its wrong and is misreading IST as Ataturk, as the code belongs to new airport from January. 45.116.232.39 (talk) 16:38, 29 November 2018 (UTC) 'Unexplained'

NPR Newsletter No.16 15 December 2018Hello Jetstreamer,
This year's award for the Reviewer of the Year goes to Onel5969. Around on Wikipedia since 2011, their staggering number of 26,554 reviews over the past twelve months makes them, together with an additional total of 275,285 edits, one of Wikipedia's most prolific users.
See also the list of top 100 reviewers.
The backlog is now approaching 5,000, and still rising. There are around 640 holders of the NPR flag, most of whom appear to be inactive. The 10% of the reviewers who do 90% of the work could do with some support especially as some of them are now taking a well deserved break.
At #1 position, the Community Wishlist poll closed on 3 December with a resounding success for NPP, reminding the WMF and the volunteer communities just how critical NPP is to maintaining a clean encyclopedia and the need for improved tools to do it. A big 'thank you' to everyone who supported the NPP proposals. See the results.
Due to a number of changes having been made to the feed since this three-minute video was created, we have been asked by the WMF for feedback on the video with a view to getting it brought up to date to reflect the new features of the system. Please leave your comments here, particularly mentioning how helpful you find it for new reviewers. If you wish to opt-out of future mailings, go here. I noticed you seem to be a regular editor on aviation articles. Lately there have been some disputes reported to admins about airport destination tables. See for example a currently open report at WP:AN3 about Liverpool John Lennon Airport and Bordeaux–Mérignac Airport: here. I have noticed the name User:Charlesdrakew being cited in some of the complaints but don't have any opinion yet on who is at fault. From a 2017 RfC (in which you participated) it seems to be agreed that airport articles can include destination tables. Are you aware of the current disagreements, and if so do you have an opinion on how to resolve the dispute? In any particular case, admins can always block editor A or editor B, but long term it would be good to get a solution. Thanks for any opinion. EdJohnston (talk) 03:01, 18 December 2018 (UTC)

The latest official reports are published in Russian on the Air Accident Investigation Commission website. An English translation of the final report is available at the United Kingdom Air Accidents Investigation Branch website; the AAIB states that it is not an official English translation.[14] The final investigation report stated the following reasons for the crash: The immediate cause of the accident was the loss of spatial orientation by the crew and chiefly by the Captain who was piloting the aircraft during the landing phase. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aeroflot_Flight_821 Not much a reader of the referenced Wikipedia article, are we? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.206.217.102 (talk) 22:45, 15 March 2019 (UTC)
Spice jet flagsHey, I was wondering, why you removed all the work I did on the List of SpiceJet destinations. I added links for all the places on the list, and added flags. Thanks Yellow alligator (talk) 00:06, 18 March 2019 (UTC)
Fuzhou AirlinesAbout this, is a source needed? Best, Anna Frodesiak (talk) 12:23, 14 March 2019 (UTC)
Do you want to remove from sun the unsourced lead sentence: "The Sun is the star at the center of the Solar System.??? Of course not. But that unsourced content is against WP:VERIFY. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 12:01, 18 March 2019 (UTC)
Be carefulThe following discussion is closed. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on the appropriate discussion page. No further edits should be made to this discussion. Can you be careful please, you removed my edit on the summary of Ethiopian air 409. OrbitalEnd48401 (talk) 15:45, 18 March 2019 (UTC)
I have your reasons I'm sorry to say are bogus. This quote Lebanese Civil Aviation Authority stated that the flight crew mismanaged the aircraft's speed, altitude, and heading. This report states: 1- The flight crew's mismanagement of the aircraft's speed, altitude, headings and attitude through inconsistent flight control inputs resulting in a loss of control. 2- The flight crew failure to abide by CRM principles of mutual support and calling deviations hindered any timely Firstly, if you read the first one in partcular they 'mismanaged' their aircrafts speed, headings and altitude. Pilot error includes the term 'mistakes' and 'failures to exercise due diligence in a pilot's duties'. If you're telling me that hving just Crashed shortly after take-off as a summary is acceptable well that is quite silly. It gives no detail at all as to way. If you will not even accept CRM in the summary then you really are taking the cake as the final report cites the failure of CRM. OrbitalEnd48401 (talk) 18:12, 18 March 2019 (UTC) Look. I don’t know if you’re wasting my time but you have not sent a repairman, if you are over with this edit war so claimed by Andrew I’ll just re add CRM back into the summary if you do not want to discuss not be involved in the discussion. 15:47, 19 March 2019 (UTC) Are you gonna have this debate over a summary then? I have better things to do but I want this out the way with, if you really edit warred with me for no reason thats pretty sad. All I want to do is add CRM not pilot error, it was CRM that lead to the accident. OrbitalEnd48401 (talk) 19:18, 18 March 2019 (UTC)
I didn’t remove the CRM stuff? It was Andrew crapping himself saying I’m edit warring well he is as well if he removed that. Look I know we’re both rocky but can we agree on CRM? OrbitalEnd48401 (talk) 19:48, 18 March 2019 (UTC)
I can’t be bothered, I’m lazy lol. Look as CRM is noted in the final report can we add it to the summary to make it worth reading? OrbitalEnd48401 (talk) 21:47, 18 March 2019 (UTC)
Not to be rude but I haven’t gotten a response yet. OrbitalEnd48401 (talk) 15:43, 19 March 2019 (UTC) The discussion above is closed. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on the appropriate discussion page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.
User:Emcdpenguin and User:EMcPenguin: GRU-PEK flight on Air ChinaI am having a little trouble here. This user insists that Air China does not operate a direct flight from Sao Paulo to Beijing (eventhough it stops in Madrid). He responded on his talk page saying that the flight stops in Madrid but it is not a direct flight. I have directed him to WP:AIRPORT-CONTENT point 7 on the meaning of a direct flight but seems to ignore or not understand it. I am beginning to wonder if User:Emcdpenguin and User:EMcPenguin are the same person because they were registered on the same day and made similar edits to this. Can you explain to him in depth that Air China operates a direct flight from Beiijing to Sao Paulo via Madrid? I have gave him a link to the airlineroute.net article as well for this. Thanks! 97.85.118.142 (talk) 05:31, 21 March 2019 (UTC) Notable SourceHello Jetstreamer, I am writing to ask about a revision that you did on my contribution on the Qatar Airways article. As I am new to Wikipedia, I would like to know what about my additions to the Qatar Airways article were not notable? I believed that news articles reporting on the airlines incidents were notable as they were independent from Qatar Airways. I look forward to your reply, Thank you AlHitmi (talk) 11:01, 27 March 2019 (UTC)AlHitmi
Air AlbaniaHi, I see you have reverted back my edit on Air Albania with this comment: Planespotters is not a reliable source and the added cities cannot be focus cities if they are not served at all) 1. Actually if you payed attention I did include three sources, not just Planespotters. The first reference was from the official announcement from one of the shareholder of the company (Albcontrol) wich announced on the very day the registration and licensing of the Airline. (if you think Planespotters is not reliable for confirming the airline code, just improve the article by removing that reference instead of reverting everything.) Reference: "Certifikohet 'Air Albania', ja 5 aeroportet ku do të operojë" (in Albanian). shqiptarja.com. 26 March 2019. Retrieved 26 March 2019. 2. Focus cities where also announced in the official statement with operations expected to start by the end of April, 2019. Piasoft (talk) 19:13, 28 March 2019 (UTC)
I am uncertain about some editsAre you okay with these edits? Best, Anna Frodesiak (talk) 11:05, 3 April 2019 (UTC)
Images to Vietnam AirlinesHello, Is it allowed to add pictures of Vietnam Airlines fleet just like other airline articles that show every picture of each aircraft? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Triila73 (talk • contribs) 00:32, 7 April 2019 (UTC)
List of LAM Mozambique Airlines destinationsHello Jetstreamer, I recently added Paris Charles De Gaulle Airport to the "List of LAM Mozambique Airlines destinations". I would like to have a better explanation on why you reverted my edition as I have referenced the same source as Copenhagen, Madrid-Barajas and Berlin Schönefeld, the "World Airline Directory". Please check the source and you will find Paris there. Thank you! Alexmacovela (talk) 19:42, 3 April 2019 (UTC).
Qatar AirwaysHi Jetstreamer, noticed you removed some of my edits on the Qatar Airways, however some of the information you have replaced it with is not correct. With regards to the leased LATAM aircraft, these are not wet-leased aircraft as you have mentioned, but are instead dry-leased and operated by Qatar Airways crews. All 3 are on the Qatari aircraft register (A7-AMA, A7-AMB, and A7-AQA). [1] Second, you state Planespotters is not a reliable source, yet several other airline fleet pages do contain citations to Planespotters, such as Delta Air Lines fleet, Lufthansa, and Emirates fleet. These three pages also happened to be the first three I bothered to look up. If other pages consider it reliable, why is it not reliable for Qatar's fleet? Third, the A340 has in fact not been retired yet, and you have removed it from the page. What is your citation for this? 2 aircraft (A7-AGC and A7-AGD) are most definitely still in service with the airline. [2] [3] Rufusmi (talk) 02:21, 11 April 2019 (UTC)

The article you linked to actually contains no information regarding the reliability of certain websites, and Planespotters in particular. Perhaps you could show me the section you’re referring to? Also, you didn’t provide a response to the two other questions I had. Rufusmi (talk) 15:54, 11 April 2019 (UTC)
Vietnam AirlinesIm fixing some REAL things in Vietnam Airlines Also, you told me to add anything with reliable source. Well, i have flown on Vietnam Airlines alot so i know what is real ok? Just adding some SkyTeam Livery and you said i need a reliable source, like really? Just seeing you deleting my edits is just infuriating. You just missing some info, like with A350 has a SkyTeam Livery, then you remove it... Vietnam Airlines said that they will remove the A330 this year. — Precedingve unsigned comment added by ImDollarsWiki (talk • contribs) 23:42, 12 April 2019 (UTC)
