Hi - thanks for your edits of several of the bowl game articles. Just wanted to highlight that team records and scores should use an endash between numbers, not a hyphen. For example, 7–3, not 7-3. The endash character is on the editing toolbar (enabled via Preferences, Editing) or using the & n d a s h ; (without the spaces) directive. Thanks. Dmoore5556 (talk) 18:13, 8 January 2019 (UTC)

Team colors

Hi JJonahJackalope - I was looking at the recent edits to add team colors to the "Appearances by team" tables of some bowl games (e.g. Frisco Bowl & Miami Beach Bowl). I've also seen it done elsewhere (e.g. Big 12 Championship Game). A brief note here, as I'm not sure if it's a good idea. For me personally, readability suffers, as multiple colors are a distraction when trying to actually read content. I'd suggest seeking some feedback, perhaps via Talk pages, before going much further with the idea. Or apologies if that's already been done somewhere (?). Might also be worthwhile to seek input from User:Muboshgu, who works on a lot of pages across multiple sports. Thanks. Dmoore5556 (talk) 03:38, 11 January 2019 (UTC)

UNIVERSITY OF GEORGIA SEAL

The seal I added is the actual seal used on degrees and official documents, is the official seal, and is worn by the university president at commencements; I took a picture of the metal silver seal worn by the university president at commencement; while the university may use the the previously printed seal on commercial items, it is by mistake; the added seal is the actual official university seal; please don’t revert; will be glad to talk — Preceding unsigned comment added by Quaerens-veritatem (talk • contribs) 02:34, 20 January 2019 (UTC (UTC)

I reverted to the previous image because as stated by the university itself in their official style guide, that is currently the official seal for the University of Georgia. While I do not doubt your claim that the image you provided is used by the university, there should probably be more verification for this claim. Unless you can cite your claim that your image is the official seal of the University of Georgia, I would recommend using the previous image. Open to discussion on the matter. NRHP-listed places in Georgia

Hi, I noticed a couple contributions by you about National Register of Historic Places-listed places in Georgia because they happened to link to pages that I must have created, so they popped up on my notices list, including your new article for Sam Ripley Farm. Thank you for contributing! I have created a lot of short NRHP articles in Georgia with links to the good NRHP nomination documents, like you found, but there are so many more needed! More precisely: there are 2,134 NRHP-listed places in Georgia, of which we have photos for 1,590, and we have starter articles for 1,167. (I get these numbers from a recently run report at wp:NRHPPROGRESSGA, the Georgia section of a big report. Theres a "Percent Articled" map at the very top right which shows that all the counties in Georgia all now have 30% or more articles.)

I would be very glad if you would do more. If you do, a handy tool which helps is called the "NRHP infobox generator", available at an editor's private website at http://elkman.net/nrhp/. If you click on the first option there and enter "Ripley" and "GA", it yields this output, which includes a copy-paste-ready infobox partly filled out already, and a partly filled out reference to the NRHP document and its accompanying photos, which is slightly better than the reference which you created. I personally would choose to refine it slightly more using info in the NRHP document (author name and preparation date in Section 11, info about photos towards the end of the text document, and my literally counting the number of photos in the photos document) to yield this modified reference:[2]

Using the tool helps a lot, I think; to fill out the reference well does still require good reading and thinking on the part of me or you as editor. It works for most NRHP sites which were listed before some date in 2013. Try it, you may like it!
