Welcome!
Sorry no one has welcomed you like many other welcomers i look for red links to user talk pages so because your talk page existed i thought you had been welcomed--AFUSCO 20:21, 18 September 2007 (UTC) MessageWelcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. However, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did to Gwen Stefani, is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. (The source does not state that she has sold ten million solo albums.) ShadowHalo 17:39, 7 May 2007 (UTC) I understand and i won't repeat it again. License tagging for Image:No Doubt.jpgThanks for uploading Image:No Doubt.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images. For more information on using images, see the following pages: This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 16:10, 16 May 2007 (UTC)
It does make a huge difference because he actively edits the entries on Gwen's and "No Doubt" song articles on the Wikipedia. It is not the motivation, but the actions he performs on behalf of these. Cuvtixo 15:33, 14 June 2007 (UTC) The source appears to be self-published, so it cannot be considered reliable. This is getting really annoying too. We know at this point that it's sold 3 mil, but none of the press seem to have mentioned it yet. Oh well. I'll try my hand at the article once Hey Ya! is done. I've never had an article at FAC so long, so hopefully Raul654 will be able to close the candidacy soon. ShadowHalo 19:32, 8 July 2007 (UTC)
So far as I know, they're frowned upon. They don't really contribute that much useful information since certifications vary so much between countries, so the important ones should probably just be contained in the text. 17Drew 19:40, 12 July 2007 (UTC)
Thanks. Love. Angel. Music. Baby. should be ready for FAC by the end of the week. I wrote an entire section about the album's impact awhile ago, but my computer froze and I lost it. I've added a bunch of information, but I'm still trying to find some better sources and information for the section. 17Drew 12:04, 16 July 2007 (UTC)
Name changeIt's a long story. Simply put, there was some off-wiki semi-drama and I don't want someone to see this account. 17Drew 16:59, 11 July 2007 (UTC)
I was trying to put the article in Category:Arts good articles, but the {{ArticleHistory}} template is set up oddly, so I reverted myself. No, Answers.com is not a reliable source; it is a mirror site of other sites, including Wikipedia. 17Drew 20:55, 22 July 2007 (UTC)
Sophomore albumYes, I'm not surprised that you weren't familiar with the word's meaning. I see you're from Mumbai and a Google search of "sophomore album" in India had 1.39 million hits compared to 69.3 million hits for "second album". I just don't think that it's fair to use "sophomore" when a simple alternative that everyone understands can be used. Spellcast 08:20, 29 July 2007 (UTC) Well, certification is based on shipments, not sales. Many albums are certified, say, platinum and still don't sell near a million copies. It may have sold more than three million copies globally, but so far I've only seen sources state three million. 17Drew 20:32, 3 August 2007 (UTC)
RedirectingYeah, ummm, where you the one who redirected "Now That You got It" to The Sweet Escape?, anyway. How would we know when "Now That You Got It" came out? Explode24 16:23, 7 August 2007 (UTC) (Australian time) http://www.bpi.co.uk/platinum/platinumright.asp?rq=search_1d=32814 Your messageHm, I could be wrong but I don't think there's enough sources to justify an article for it yet. The source just says the release date is October 1, 2007 and that's it. I think it's better to wait until there's proper confirmation. Spellcast 18:17, 13 August 2007 (UTC)
WP:CRYSTAL says pages are allowed only if the event is "almost certain to take place". Now Billboard should be a reliable source, but my only problem is this is the only site to have that info. I'd simply wait until there's confirmation from multiple sources. But I wouldn't be surprised if this became a single though. Spellcast 18:46, 13 August 2007 (UTC) Billboard is an extremely reliable source - to be eligible for the US charts, Stefani's label will have to send them a copy of the single etc. Having said that, it is best to wait until October comes nearer - I have seen instances where, at the last minute, the song chosen to be a single is changed. Image copyright problem with Image:7226 2.jpegThank you for uploading Image:7226 2.jpeg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. What You Waiting For? likely won't appear on the Main Page any time in the near future since Hollaback Girl was there two or three months ago. 17Drew 15:53, 4 September 2007 (UTC)

I noticed the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself. If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, fair use images which could be replaced by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if not used in an article), per our Fair Use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Hello againHi, thanks for your advice on how to improve Britney Spears for FA preparation. Just like to let you that I've sent it to peer review. Wikipedia:Peer review/Britney Spears. I was trying to work a way around improving the lead section. And I kept hitting a brick wall. I looked at Gwen Stefani, and Kylie Minogue, then Mariah Carey. I think I should start mentioning ...Baby One More Time in the first paragraph, but I don't know what to do with the repeated information in the second paragraph. Hmmmmm.... Oidia (talk) 13:07, 6 October 2007 (UTC)
GAI haven't been doing much work at WP:GA lately; I started reviewing there a lot when I had articles up for consideration, but I don't really plan to be nominating anymore (waste of time in the long run). Also, there are quite a few articles queued up ahead of yours chronologically, especially in the music section. With all due respect, I think I'll let the GA process run its natural course. But best of luck with it. Chubbles 07:35, 9 October 2007 (UTC) hi!hi gauruv, are your exams over now! Sushant gupta 14:40, 9 October 2007 (UTC)

Re: Serious AdviceYes, that article has always been the 'step-child', if you will, of the Evanescence series, intended mostly to draw away the garbage that folks once added to the articles themselves (a task, I must add, that it has done admirably, saving the actual article editors quite some grief). I don't know how much can be done to rectify the problem, but thanks for the link, I'll check it out. -- Huntster T • @ • C 18:30, 19 October 2007 (UTC) Orphaned non-free media (Image:Fahion week.jpg)Thanks for uploading Image:Fahion week.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media). If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Gwen Stefani music genresHello - just a note to say I've started a discussion on Gwen Stefani's music genres at Talk:Gwen Stefani#Music genres. --h2g2bob (talk) 18:00, 19 January 2008 (UTC)
Re: Gwen StefaniBasically, what the IP did was go into a lot of detail on the singles charts and reception. That info is better left in the singles' own article. The edits were all expanded from the second paragraph of the "2006 – present: The Sweet Escape" section and ended at the "Non-musical projects" heading. Spellcast (talk) 17:20, 30 January 2008 (UTC)
Re:Queries about Back To BlackYour points about Back to Black are very valid. I would definitely suggest importing those credits to their respective pages, and getting the full album credits from CDUniverse (my standby source). Also, the certification points you've made are valid. Either see if you can find any certification info, or re-ad the note with a blocked out note <!-- --> above the table quickly explaining the certification sources. I will help you as well with this when I get a chance, especially with the album credits.--Esprit15d • talk • contribs 13:56, 2 February 2008 (UTC) Happy Valentine's Day!A short/sweet little message, which I hope has made your day better! how to use it Re:Early WinterWell, actually, Tim Rice-Oxley from (pianist) wrote the song as a Keane song but Gwen had showed an interest on working with them since 2005 so they worked together in the end. Tim and Gwen recorded the song in the US for her album and Rice-Oxley is credited along with her as songwriter. In late 2007, Keane "covered" the song live in the UK. It may be a cover... but maybe not. If we dismiss Rice-Oxley wrote the song it's a cover but listening to Keane's version is clearly different lyrically... the whole song has a different meaning though the melody is the same. I don't wanna confuse you more, I'm going straight. Since Keanemusic.com is down at the moment, Keane's official forum is the only "reliable" source of information, but there's no mention of the single there. It's very common fans make covers for the songs they like the most, thus I've seen covers for "The Frog Prince", "Leaving So Soon?", etc., songs that have never and will never be singles so it's likely what you saw is a fake cover. I've looked into the font and it's a fan-made, it's not the original. Also, Keane has been using drawings (as you can see on previous covers) for their releases, not photos. Maybe a single mention on their one-time cover should fit on EW's article.--Fluence (talk) 18:01, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
