Please stop re-adding that link to Leprosy stigma on the stigma disambiguation page. I've already pointed you repeatedly to the relevant guideline: Wikipedia:Disambiguation#What not to include has a section about "partial title matches", which says: "A disambiguation page is not a search index. Do not add a link that merely contains part of the page title, or a link that includes the page title in a longer proper name, where there is no significant risk of confusion." And in general, please note that when you are engaged in editing disagreements, you are expected to discuss things. Use the article's talk page, or at least explain what you are doing in edit summaries. And if you find that somebody has undone your edit, please read the other person's edit summaries in the page history. Fut.Perf. ☼ 05:26, 19 October 2009 (UTC) Welcome
Mieko KamiyaHave you got the source where you got all the information on Mieko Kamiya? If yes it would be very good to cite all the sources in the article. The history of Japanese medicine is one of my interests and I have created some articles about Japanese neurologists and ophthalmologists for Polish wikipedia, but often I could not find enough sources to write more than a stub. I will be happy to add informations from English article to Polish one. Best wishes! Filip em (talk) 21:22, 24 January 2010 (UTC)
Thank you for the comment. I would be happy to help you regarding the title of the Congenital onychodysplasia of the index fingers. However, I am uncertain what you want changed in the title? Was not the 1974 paper entitled "Congenital onychodysplasia of the index fingers."? Thank you in advance for clarifying. Also, if you have any interest in dermatology, we are always looking for more help at the dermatology task force! ;) ---kilbad (talk) 01:51, 29 January 2010 (UTC)

This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard. I see that Shunsuke Miyake is now back in the main encyclopedia, so that this "userfied" copy is no longer necessary. It's not a good idea to have parallel versions of an article; if you would be kind enough to put {{db-u1}} (two curly brackets each side) at the top of the userspace version (which means "user requests deletion of a user sub-page"), that would be the simplest way to get rid of it. Not quite sure what to do with it, but it needs to be "normalized" (standardized) somehow. As a separate suggestion, could the list be moved into "Notables" for Okinawa? (This would be a new subsection above "See also". Student7 (talk) 22:05, 8 May 2011 (UTC)
Kumamoto PrefectureHad no idea, until now that there were four prefectures. If this was in other articles, I missed it. You write good articles. If you say Kanzen Teruya is famous outside his prefecture/Okinawa, then it must be true! :) I will take a look at the history and put it on my watch list. I don't think I have time right now. It is tough translating. I once edited an article on Thessalonika that had just been translated from French. The adjectives were all in the wrong places and there were a lot of grammar problems left over from the machine translation. It took a long time. After I was finished (or thought I was) an editor came in and complained that the article was "unreadable." I was shocked. Then I read the article. I had to agree! It was better than it was, but maybe the original (in French) wasn't that great either! :) Drop the Kanji, BTW. We don't use non-English material except maybe for article names. Will have to use for footnotes and references, most likely. That can't be avoided. I have the same criticism of the "foreigners" section as I had with Ryukus. It makes it seem Western-centric for starters. For another, unless they were notable outside the prefecture, they should be dropped from this level. Town article okay. Also, they should be merged with Japanese figures and just call the subsection "notables." BTW, "notable" section are rare in History articles. Probably should be dropped IMO. I will "watch" the article but won't make changes quite yet. Thanks. Student7 (talk) 12:56, 17 May 2011 (UTC)

Based on your work on Fires in Edo, I have completed a full translation from ja:江戸の火事. Since I am only seriously getting into the Japanese language most recently, a limited vocabulary forced me to resort to various online dictionaries in many occasions, most prominently Yahoo! 辞書. Neither can I claim that I am 100% sure that I understand every sentence in the original text correctly. Given that you originated the article here and therefore quite familiar with the original version, can you help proofread the article? Wikipedia in principle uses modified Hepburn for romanizing Japanese, so it should be Domei or Dōmei, not Doumei (unless you can confirm that that an aberrant romanization is the generally known form in English). Domei is fine, but clearly Dōmei is more accurate. Depending on your computer, you can produce a character with a macron with regular typing, but Wikipedia also allows you to insert it. Depending on the skin you use, on the editing page, there should be a "Special characters" tab at the top (or bottom, in some cases). Click on it and a long list of special characters appears, including all of the vowels with macrons. Click on the character and it appears in the text you are editing. I hope this helps! I tweaked it a lot to coincide with English, as commonly used. I imagine you have noticed that there are a lot of Japanese articles missing that can't be linked to yet. A lot of work to be done out there. I've got it on my watchlist and will be making some changes to it later. Good work! Thanks for the heads-up. I might not have seen the article otherwise. Knowledge exchangeThe English article Triploid Syndrome is weak. There is no article on quadriploid. I would like to suggest that you translate/convert the English article to Japanese. Then complain (!) on the discussion page that the article only addresses humans, not other fauna, nor is there an article on quadriploid. (You might want to check first! :) If Japan Wikipedia has Projects that cover biology, complain there, too! I've done what I can on the English Wikipedia. Biology is not a strong topic for me. But maybe we can wring some articles out of somebody. Oh, and then update the English articles when you get an answer! Actually, there are two hard parts of this: translation to Japanese of the very short triploid article. Translations are always time consuming. And updating back, if you get any feedback. Though the latter shouldn't be as hard as the first translation since there is an article there already. Thanks! :) Student7 (talk) 12:36, 19 May 2012 (UTC)

While I do not know where you got the translation of the excerpts from the diary—or whether you did them yourself—I am afraid they are not of the level sufficient to do justice to Issa's literary skill.
