MurfreesboroHi Huntster, thanks for your offer of assistance. I'm writing an article about the Murfreesboro mosque controversy (see User:Prioryman/Islamic Center of Murfeesboro for the draft to date). I was wondering if you might be able to take some photos of the Islamic Center - preferably both the old building at 862 Middle Tennessee Boulevard and the new building at the intersection of Bradyville Pike and Veals Road? It would be most excellent if you could manage this. Prioryman (talk) 07:52, 9 August 2012 (UTC) By the way, I believe the mosque is due to open tomorrow. I don't know if there's going to be any kind of opening ceremony but if there is, it might be worth seeing if it could be captured for the record. Prioryman (talk) 07:58, 9 August 2012 (UTC) The draft article is pretty much finished now - if you have any views on it I'd be interested to know what you think of it. Do you know when/whether you might be able to get any photos? Prioryman (talk) 10:54, 12 August 2012 (UTC) Hi I left a response about the NASA images thanks. Green Cardamom (talk) 15:20, 22 August 2012 (UTC) smilesThought you might get a chuckle out of this. See "Cydebot" at [1]. I was going to drop a {{uw-3rr}} on its talk page .. but I wasn't sure if WP:DTTR counted for bots too ... LOL. How ya doin there Huntster? — Ched : ? 22:53, 1 September 2012 (UTC) Same NameI know this has Absolutely Nothing to do with wikipedia, but as I was looking at Talk:2012 Aurora shooting I noticed your name (Huntster) on some of the threads. So, I figured that your real name is Hunter (which is also my real name). And, one of my nicknames is also Huntster. I clicked on your user page and discovered that you are currently living in Murfreesboro. I am in Murfreesboro alot because I live in DeKalb County (near Smithville). I just thought that was weird that we have the same name and live in pretty much the same place. United States Man (talk) 05:20, 26 July 2012 (UTC)
You're in TennesseeSo who are you to dictate Australian spelling?
Hey Huntster. I feel like I'm having a lapse in brain power this evening. A photo was recently uploaded to the Evanescence page that I believe is a clear copyright violation. A Google Images search finds many references to Tumbler, and one post on a blog called ImmortalEvanescence cites the image as being taken in October 19th in Paraguay, but seems to originate on the Evanescence Buenos Aires Facebook page. So I doubt this user is the copyright holder since the dimensions are exact to Facebook's shrunken size. ANYWAY. I can't seem to figure out how to flag a commons image for a copyvio (or even to do something as simple as notify the user on their talk page). Could you help me out with this when you get a chance? Thanks. =) ~ [ Scott M. Howard ] ~ [ Talk ]:[ Contribs ] ~ 00:01, 7 November 2012 (UTC)

JSTOR will provide you access via an email invitation, so to get your account, please email me (swallingwikimedia.org) with...
The above information will be given to JSTOR to provide you with your account, but will otherwise remain private. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media). If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. If it weren't for you .. I wouldn't be here, and I need to let you know that. I'm sure there have been a lot of times I've said things on wiki that made you do a *facepalm* or *headdesk* .. and I'm sorry for that. No matter what happens in your life, know that you touched another person's life and made a difference. Guess it's too late now to stop being stupid, but I wanted you to know what a good person you are. All my best always. WP:CITE and Amy LeeRegardless of the depth of your Amy Lee fandom, if you cannot cite references for the collaborations, put a "this article has insufficient inline citations" tag on it, or back it out and call it a day. Police dispatcher? That means they trust you with a badge and a microphone, but prefer to leave actual policing to those who are more qualified. I'm not impressed. Dkendr (talk) 11:49, 29 December 2012 (UTC) Regarding your revision on Liqian (village)Yes, the connection between Huns and Xiongnu it is theoretical. You seem to have the Huns and Xiongnu mixed up, though. The former are the people who sacked Rome, the latter were the nomads in east Asia. Read the article in question, Battle of Zhizhi, fought between Xiongnu and Chinese/Han. The source actually has "Hsiung-nu" in brackets. With something written way back in 1941, they seem to have mistakenly written "Huns" as the english version. --chinneeb-talk 10:02, 8 January 2013 (UTC) Bigelow Expandable Activity ModuleHello, Huntster. http://www.readabilityofwikipedia.com/score Eustace the MonkI tested the Readability score on Eustace and it was very high. If it still stays that high I would have no objection to the change. It is almost identical anyway and should not matter. Looking for it right now through my maze of "stuff". Thanks Mugginsx (talk) 12:50, 3 February 2013 (UTC)
Edit ConflictThanks for your message, and ya it seems edit conflict occured. भास्कर्bhagawati Speak 13:20, 24 February 2013 (UTC) revertre: this. First, it is so great to see you about. I'll think about this for a bit and see if I can come up with a more optimal wording. My thoughts here are: 1) per item 2a in that the word "discover" leads a person to think along the lines of "previously unknown". Once something is "discovered", can it be undiscovered? Maybe "most recently observed would be more accurate? I understand the subtle nuance to the word, so I will think about it for a bit and try to come up with something there. OK .. the second part though I absolutely disagree with. The asteroid was not discovered at the observatory, the asteroid was in space. It was discovered by the people who were at the observatory, yes. Guess you want me to read up on this subject a bit and actually do some constructive editing to the 'pedia huh? LOL. OK, I'll do some research and try to help improve the article. If you have any good links not already mentioned, please let me know. Always a true joy to work with you buddy. :-) — Ched : ? 19:28, 28 February 2013 (UTC)

I get so damned pissed off at the stupidity, and I honestly want to step in and try to fix things. I'm an old man that wants to help ... I want to make a difference ... and I find myself being that "get off my lawn" kind of guy. I try so hard to fix things .. and it seems that the harder I try, the worse it gets. sigh .... sorry .. just venting I guess. — Ched : ? 04:20, 30 March 2013 (UTC)

Since you are knowledgeable in the ways of wiki-images (and I've personally just never decided to expend the time to get up to speed on all that arcana), and you've helped edit some of our spaceflight related articles, I'm touching base with you on this. Well, that, and because you've always been very helpful. I'm trying to get a company to upload some appropriately licensed images so that they can be used by various editors on Wikipedia, nothing more than are already in their press packages, but just with the licenses fixed so we can use them. (UPDATE: 13 Apr 2013: by email, they have responded positively and indicated they would try to release some of their images with an acceptable Creative Commons license.) Is there anything I should watch out for? Any minefields? I was figuring if the company just uploads some appropriately-licensed images, and Wikipedia editors do or do not use those images, we'd be okay relative to WP:COI. But this is the first time I have contacted a company like this so thought I would ask for your guidance in the process. Cheers. N2e (talk) 22:03, 12 April 2013 (UTC) Yep .....
