Spice Girls Pt. 3

Hello there. Rimmers asked me to review the dispute over the move from discography to library, since I commented before. Let me say I only got involved because I was monitoring new pages when the library page was created, so I ain' shillin' for nobody.

First off, your contributions are great, I've been looking over them off the links from your page. The original Spice Girls discography you made is good, too. I think what Rimmers has made is an evolution on that, taking your subdivisions and adding templates and graphics. You guys should work together on this, it will impress people who don't even care about the Spice Girls, such as myself. Feel free to talk to me. TKE 02:48, 22 March 2006 (UTC)

• I put the link to the library on the Spice Girls page, and removed the merge. It'll work fine as it is now; both of your work is preserved and it's probably better to keep the music separated from the other releases since that's what they're known for. As for the other editor, he asked for my help because he has had difficulting communicating with you. You guys share a passion for this project, and your language can be a bit heavy handed but it's clear you have good intentions. If you have not created this media yourself then there needs to be an argument why we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then it needs to be specified where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, consider reading fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. The Simple Life

Please get over this whole "Wiki is not a news site" crap, and removing things that people worked hard on writing and contributing. How can something written about season 2, made 2 years ago, be "news"?! It was information, not news.

Alo, numbering the seasons does not make them look cluttered. If anything, it makes them neater.

What the heck are you talking about, all I deleted was indeed news and you don't need to put news for your information, from the Wikipedia rules

News reports. Wikipedia should not offer first-hand news reports on breaking stories (however, our sister project Wikinews does exactly that). Wikipedia does have many encyclopedia articles on topics of historical significance that are currently in the news, and can be significantly more up-to-date than most reference sources since we can incorporate new developments and facts as they are made known. See current events for examples..

You don't need to put that Paris confirmed that season 2 is happening and the extra infos like what the studio said about the show. And it's better to put just Interns instead of season 3- interns, it's clear that it's season three no need to put it.--2hot4u2handle 15:06, 4 May 2006 (UTC)

I have been working hard on trying to help improve the Madonna article and have started to summarize and re-write the biography section using as much of the information already in the article. Ok, Open the Windows Media Maker, then choose a mp3 you want, put it on the "storyboard" box, select a 30-second clip you want then save it. Then open a wav to ogg converter if you have one, just convert it to a ogg file. You can now upload it on Wikipedia.--2hot4u2handle 23:04, 7 May 2006 (UTC)

Kelly Hu image

Regarding this edit, you replaced a public domain image (Image:KellyHu.jpg), with a fairuse image (Image:Ladydeatstrikex2.jpg). But, WP:FAIR dictates "Always use a more free alternative if one is available". As this is the main bio pic (e.g. at top of page, in info box), it's purpose is to show the actresse's appearance, not principally to discuss a particular fictional character she portrayed. So, really no fairuse claim could ever be justified (with the current article content), and the public domain image serves the purpose of illustrating Hu adequately. A reasonable fairuse claim for Image:Kellyasladydeathstrike.jpeg or Image:Ladydeatstrikex2.jpg can be made in Lady Deathstrike, as it actually illustrates the subject of the article. Even if the fairuse image was better than the public domain one, it can't be used in Kelly Hu, due to Wikipedia's policy on images. --Rob 02:34, 12 May 2006 (UTC)

Simple Life

Why do you keep removing information like the time the show will air and additional information on the show from producers...way more can be added.

In other articles like Survivor and Amazing Race they don't put the time the show will air and addtitional infos of producers are not needed this is not a fan site and a news site additional and extra infos are not needed.--

Okay, maybe I can understand about the extra info, but if no time is given, how are people going to know when to watch it? I think it should be put on because it hasn't been put on the promos, but many websites have confirmed the time.

Brett Ratner

I have restored the following sentences to the article: "Ratner is considered to be a successful commercial filmmaker who has been afforded the opportunity to tackle franchises and blockbusters. His fans will point out that his films are typically "fun, enjoyable and amusing", whilst his critics label him as a relatively-untalented "director-for-hire" since he has no particular visual style of his own."

I feel that they are balanced and offer both points of view. I frequently read people either praising Ratner for his sense of fun whilst others chastise him for his lack of a palpable visual signature.
