I looked it up and the dictionaries show it as motor launch when you write it in a sentence. When you write Fairmile A motor launch, it's actually Fairmile A Motor Launch (ML) --HamOnt (talk) 23:46, 3 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

• Motor Launch and motor launch are both correct, but mean different things. It would be hard to see Motor Launch as a motor launch! The scale is rather different. For the Fairmiles, I can't think offhand of a context where it would be a motor launch, rather than a Motor Launch.

Hunt for capitalization

You might want to have a look at MOS:CAPS. Your article List of firms engaged in the construction of the Canadian Fairmile B motor launch is a mass of over-capitalization, as a glance at the TOC shows. Thank you for the reminder. That page was done quickly and will be worked on. I know you're engaged with a number of people regarding the capitalization of Fairmile B Motor Launch. I agree with you that motor launch should not be capitalized. But what is the rationale for not capitalizing on Fairmile B Motor Launch? In my research, motor launch is capitalized when it is used in Fairmile B Motor Launch, but not when talking about a motor launch. Can you please explain? Here are a few. The logic with me sits that the boats were given designation M.L. Q050 for example. It likely follows that the M.L. is capitalized when referring to the name or type of boat, Fairmile B Motor Launch, but I agree with you that if we're talking about Fairmile B motor launches, it isn't capitalized. Wikiproject Military history coordinator election nominations opening soon

Nominations for the upcoming project coordinator election are opening in a few hours (00:01 UTC on 1 September). A team of up to ten coordinators will be elected for the next coordination year. The project coordinators are the designated points of contact for issues concerning the project, and are responsible for maintaining our internal structure and processes. They do not, however, have any authority over article content or editor conduct, or any other special powers. More information on being a coordinator is available here. ArbCom 2022 Elections voter message

Hello! Voting in the 2022 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 12 December 2022. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
