One other thing, you added some info awhile back to Android #8 in September. I just want to clarify something with you: When, where and in what was it mentioned in that he was a fictional cyborg? I know he's based off Frankenstein's monster (and a character from Toriyama's earlier manga, Dr. Slump) but where was it said that he was a cyborg? Was it in a Daizenshu or something? Power level (Dragon Ball)14:19, 7 February 2007 (UTC)
He was a human who had cybernetic implants put in. I've heard that somewhere. But I don't remember adding it to the article, Regards--SUIT-n-tie21:42, 7 February 2007 (UTC)
Okay, I couldn't find anything official on the net about Android #8 being a human who was genetically engineered. But my Portuguese translated manga (had to resort to it cause I didn't buy the rest of the VIZ English manga yet) confirms that he was created by the Red Ribbon Army, as stated by the ninja guy, Agent Murasaki. I have the FUNimation DVD of the RRA Saga and it also confirms that he was created by the Red Ribbon Army (this was also according to Sergeant Murasakis statements in the Japanese audio of the episode with English subtitles). I would show you an image scan of the anime, but my windows computer is too old to print screens. I say that category goes, any thoughts before I remove it? He's no different than Android #19, a pure fictionalrobotic character with a super-power. You know me...Back in the Day05:24, 8 February 2007 (UTC)
I'm sending a photographer to the Annie Awards this Sunday, on behalf of Wikinews. I'm giving the photographer a sheet of people to lookout for, including John Lasseter, Bill Plympton, Genndy Tartakovsky, Andreas Deja, and a bunch of voice actors. Anyone on the nominee list that you ID as being really important to get a pic of? -- Zanimum22:05, 7 February 2007 (UTC)
George Harrison's handwritten lyrics to the song While My Guitar Gently Weeps have fetched $300,000 (£152,552) in a Scottsdale (Arizona, United States) memorabilia auction (15 January). It contained lines omitted from the final version of the song. Specifically :
I look from the wings at the play you are stagingWhile my guitar gently weepsAs I'm sitting here doing nothing but agingStill my guitar gently weeps
On the reverse of the page appears the lyrics to Hey Jude in the hand of Mal Evans.
Project News
The Project lead article (The Beatles, for those not paying attention) has had its Good Article status reviewed, and the consensus was 'keep'. The efforts of User:Andreasegde in supplying the requested citations, and other editors in helping with general editing, and the strength of arguments for retaining the grade sufficiently impressed the reviewers.
After a great deal of work Paul McCartney was promoted as a Featured Article candidate. Unfortunately it failed to succeed. Among other comments, including the correct length of dash (or hyphen), from reviewers was that the article was too long and also that it needed further information included in some of the sections(!?) The promotor, and driving force behind the insertion of a great many references, citations and facts (and the remover of unwanted text, and splitter of information into daughter articles), Andreasegde vigorously argued the case for promotion but was unsuccessful.
Mimi Smith was successfully nominated for WP:Good article status. The major editor to whom accolades should be directed is... Andreasegde.
The hottest Project page this month was possibly, despite the Article Status related issues regarding both The Beatles and Paul McCartney mentioned above, the third attempt to delete The Beatles trivia in less than a year. As was the case for the second attempt at AfD the result, after an energetic discourse, was keep but with a suggestion that the article be retitled to reduce the incidence of deletion requests. Editors are invited to discuss possible new titles, and/or the need for same, at Talk:The Beatles trivia.
Other Project news - Lar did a bit of a purge of the subscription list during last month's newsletter delivery. Some folks were kept (and are at the active list), some who clearly are not active on wikipedia at all were removed with a "you've been removed" message left (and are at the inactive list), and some folks who were less active but not as clearly completely inactive were given a "this may be your last newsletter" message (and are at the possibly inactive list). A more nuanced subscription list is now here (in several subpages as outlined above), and anyone who wants to tweak their status (moving one's self back is a clear cut sign that we should deliver the newsletter to you!) should feel free. Please respect the rather spartan formatting though, this list is used by WP:AWB currently, and may be used by other automation in future.
Issue of the Month
Hottest issue or concern for this month is the perennial matter of Project articles losing their Good or Featured Article status. The main Project page now includes a status board that gives the current ratings of some of the more important articles. Let's make sure the core articles (The Beatles, John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr) reach or retain Good Article status, if not Featured Article. If you are aware of another major article whose status is at risk, add it to the board.
Issue of last Month
Since there has been no response in the matter of the use of lowercase for the initial letter of the when applied with Beatles from the opponents, it is likely that the case for using lowercase only will be adopted as Project policy by default. User:LessHeard vanU will draw up a recommendation and submit it to the Policy talkpage in a few days.
From the Editors
We are pleased to welcome the contributions of Alexcalamaro to this newsletter. Any editor can include an item of interest or news; this medium can be an excellent tool for getting a comment seen by a great number of project members. As it says below, this is your newsletter.
If you've just joined, add your name to the Participants section of Wikipedia:WikiProject The Beatles. You'll get a mention in the next issue of the Newsletter and get it delivered as desired. Also, please include your own promotions and awards in future issues. Don't be shy!
Lastly, this is your newsletter and you can be involved in the creation of the next issue (Issue 011 – March 2007). Any and all contributions are welcome. Simply let yourself be known to any of the undersigned, or just start editing!
As the project is currently just starting, our more experienced editors are working on the project infrastructure, classifying articles, and listing/assessing red links. Your assistance is welcome. If you would prefer to just edit - and why wouldn't you? - we have a choice selection of red links to turn blue and articles to clean! Now let's get busy.
Project: Add {{WPBeatles}} to the talk pages of all Beatles-related articles. Send a newsletter to members, canvas for new members, and coordinate tasks. Enter articles classed as stubs into this list (under To Expand) and also list articles needing cleaning and other work here.
If you complete one of these tasks, please remove it from the list and add your achievement to the project log.

Hi Suit, I'm back. Thanks for helping me revert the obsessed Zarbon toy users. What can you make of this 219.88.183.189,
198.202.20.182, and now all of a sudden, someone just so happens to create User:OJHomer to help reach consensus. I can't tell who is a sockpuppet of who. Really, its quite obvious that one of those IPs (or perhaps one of these IPs that reverted me before: 222.153.68.65 or 69.86.129.29) really want the Zarbon image to stay. I don't think its possible to CheckUser all these users because ISP's change from time to time. Someone who has a dial-up connection (or perhaps another type of Internet connection) here just so happens to visit action figure for the first time (such as this guy, this guy, and most obviously this guy) and immediately revert back to the Zarbon toy image. What do ya make of this? Who should be tagged as a possible sock puppet/meat puppet of who? Power level (Dragon Ball)03:37, 10 February 2007 (UTC)
I'm still tryin' that checkuser program. It's so damn complicated! Anyways, User:OJHomer did it again. He's such a dick, he even called you a possible sock puppet. Could you revert him using popups for being a jerk? I hope I can get this confusing CheckUser to work... Power level (Dragon Ball)05:48, 10 February 2007 (UTC)
Hey groovy man. I took care of the sock templates by putting each of them in the right places. If you want to, help me watch Recoome for now so that he doesn't create more useless socks to revert/remove stuff for him or make sure he doesn't remove the {{sockpuppeteerproven}} template I placed on his userpage. Personally, I still think it's the work of the evil mastermind Zarbon using another ISP, I mean, who else would be so obsessed with having a Zarbon action figure image on the Action figure article? Well then: now I shall get to work on the Dragon Ball special abilities page and make it less confusing. Believe me, this'll take me awhile. Wish me luck! :) Power level (Dragon Ball)16:34, 10 February 2007 (UTC)
Or maybe Zarbon moved to a different part of whatever country he lived in. Or maybe to a different country. It's unlikely, but possible. Either way, Action Figure is now sprotected by myself, so we won't have any problems for a while. --Deskana(request backup)16:40, 10 February 2007 (UTC)
Hey man, it's me Power level. Even though I was pretty much done, I got really bored of the DB special abilities so there's still a lot of fixin' up to do there still. But I can guarantee you that most of its' less confusing now though... I wasn't sure of most of the title names for the techniques. So, ya think you could pick up where I lefted off? We have to establish the right titles for each move before fixin' all of the redirects in the DB characters related articles. See ya... Power level (Dragon Ball)22:17, 10 February 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for reverting vandalism to page for Avadis Tevanian
Avadis Tevanian has proudly discussed his Armenian-American background in referenced interviews, yet a certain vandal keeps removing this relevant material and, even more rudely, declaring him (without any evidence) to be of other ethnicity. I appreciate your helping me to keep an eye on the biography of this man, who has contributed much to the software industry. BN23:17, 15 February 2007 (UTC)
Nemu continues to redirect pages without consensus
Hey there, its Power level. Nemu redirected Bojack, Janemba and Tullece to their appropiate character's lists without discussing about it on the respective talk pages. I reverted his edits once and gave a good reason why they deserved their own page. He reverted me nonchalantly. He says he'll stop reverting me/redirecting them if you talk him out of it. Can ya do it? Their main articles are fine and I see no reason why they should be redirected. Please say something to him or revert the pages back yourself with a decent reason in your edit summary. Thanks! Power level (Dragon Ball)22:55, 18 February 2007 (UTC)
What about the Janemba article or the other ones? Didn't you say that you disagreed with something he did? Anyways, majority ruled against him in his selfish need to redirect on each of the respective talk pages of Janemba, Bojack and Tullece. Power level (Dragon Ball)04:19, 21 February 2007 (UTC)
I'm as civil as can be my friend. Anyways, I suggest you don't fall to Nemu's level. Don't be like him. People that desire every single article to be redirected to a list and don't give a damn about other people's thoughts and opinions constitute as being selfish people to me. How about you? Power level (Dragon Ball)06:27, 21 February 2007 (UTC)
And people who don't listen to others arguments, instead choosing to doggedly defend the most useless subjects for no valid reason, are ignorant. You're in the minority. Don't try to assassinate TTN's character simply because the only argument you can pull up is shot down easily. — Someguy0830 (T | C) 07:10, 21 February 2007 (UTC)
Please respond to others in a civil manner Someguy0830. Also, do not call others ignorant when you're the one who's acting like a jerk-off. Do not butt in nonchalantly when you're the one that does mistakes too. It's unbecoming! You, on the other hand, are one to speak! You always want the Naruto articles to be your way and hardly accept anyone else's edits. I suggest you take a step back and mend your ways. Don't comment on other peoples behaviour when you are one who needs to improve also. Don't be a DICK! Power level (Dragon Ball)17:13, 21 February 2007 (UTC)
Dragonball Wiki
Hi there. I noticed you're a member of Wikiproject Dragonball, and I'm trying to recruit some people from that to contribute to the Dragon Ball Wiki. It's in terrible shape right now with pretty much no consistency or policies, and only this week have I been able to get Angela and Sannse to create some Forums for us over there. I've got a proposed Manual of Style going over there and would like some people to contribute to that to set up some policies and start making the wiki bigger, better, and more intelligible/consistent. If you're interested, please hop on over or talk to me. Thanks for the time, whether you're interested or not. Wildyoda02:36, 19 February 2007 (UTC)

On February 5, 2007, the Beatles' Apple Corps and Apple, Inc. (Apple Computer) announced a settlement of their latest trademark dispute involving use of the Apple trademark on the iTunes Music Store. In May of 2006, the High Court ruled in favor of Apple, but Neil Aspinall, manager of Apple Corps, vowed to appeal. Evidently, in the intervening months, the two companies negotiated a settlement. The settlement is discussed in this AP story. For background on the case, see Apple Corps v. Apple Computer. For fans, this may mean that Beatle music will be available someday on iTunes. Despite rumors of a February 2007 release, the material is still unavailalble.
The articles Freddie Lennon, Julia Lennon, Mimi Smith, Neil Aspinall and Mal Evans have all been promoted to Good Article status. The identity of the individual largely responsible for this outcome remains a mystery, but anyone correctly identifying said person will be treated to dinner with Sir Sean de Garde (cost of meal, air tickets, hotel and trips to houses of ill-repute will be borne by the Mighty Crestville).
There were no Project article adoptions for the month of February.
Project Policy has now been altered to reflect that the use of lowercase for the letter "t" of the word "the" in the Beatles is now considered the correct rendition.
Member News
New members to the project since the last issue include (although the first is a long time contributor who apparently has only just found the Participants section);
See below. There is genuine concern that the Newsletter is getting stale in terms of content and variety, and that the same individuals are featured each month. Furthermore, lack of "news" is hindering the timely distribution as the editors wait for something to report. All Project editors are encouraged to give their news, suggestions and thoughts to keep the 'Letter vital and interesting. If making direct contributions do not appeal, please give a mention on the Newsletter talkpage and it will be incorporated!
From the Editors
Help is needed for the job of putting future Newsletters together. The present incumbent is finding it difficult to reflect the breadth of the Project, focusing on much the same individuals and articles each month, and has decided to beg for contributions from other individuals. Interested persons need only start working on next months issue to qualify. It really is that simple!
If you've just joined, add your name to the Participants section of Wikipedia:WikiProject The Beatles. You'll get a mention in the next issue of the Newsletter and get it delivered as desired. Also, please include your own promotions and awards in future issues. Don't be shy!

Thank you for making a report about 65.66.64.57(talk·contribs·block log) on Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism. Reporting and removing vandalism is vital to the functioning of Wikipedia and all users are encouraged to revert, warn, and report vandalism. However, administrators are generally only able to block users if they have received a recent final warning (one that mentions that the user may be blocked) and they have recently vandalized after that warning was given. The reported user has not yet been blocked because it appears this has not occurred yet. If this user continues to vandalize even after their final warning, please report them to the AIV noticeboard again. Thank you! —dgiestc17:40, 19 March 2007 (UTC)

Thank you very much to adopt me, I would like to see how you can help me SUIT. Is nice to meet a Korean, my mom always watch DVD of Korean drama (translated to Chinese). Seeing you are a Christian I would like to say "I am a REBORN Christian" nice to meet you. I had already graduated in B.Sc (Comp Sci) and B.Com (Acc) therefore I would like to contribute to Wiki in this 2 fields, As I mentioned on my user page I have a big problem communicate with people specially writing. I need to write my CA exam (which I fail twice already) and with my communication skill that low, I will fail again (as all my friends said that my technical skill is fine). Is ok when I need to normal writing but when things getting complex the situation is getting from Ok -> worst. I hope in Wiki I can acquire this skill.

Project News
There is now the beginning of a list of core topics to possibly be included in the Wikipedia 1.0 release. Your suggestions are welcome; there may be many core LGBT topics still missing.
SatyrTN identified all the articles that were in subcategories of Category:LGBT but not yet tagged with the project's banner, about 1,400 articles. These have been completed, though SatyrBot will make periodic runs through the cats to find any new entries. Thanks Satyr!
The number of articles within our project's spectrum (6,667 currently) should now be relatively stable and only grow with article creation. However, if you find a category that should be included, please let SatyrTN know so it can be included in the bots runs.
Work is underway to improve the LGBT Portal. Please add any good quality (free) photos you come across on LGBT articles to the gallery here. Also if anyone would like to volunteer to help in maintaining the portal, please make yourselves known on the Portal's talkpage.
