I don't know why my article has been deleted (Content about Eazzoo). My intention is to capture the background of the company so, people can know the background of the company. I never though to use wiki as a advertisement platform or for promotional purpose. Delhi

Hello, Gogo Dodo. You recently removed a spam link from the Delhi article with this edit. But, along with that removal, you also reinstated some previously deleted content. Here are my points regarding that:

Firstly, you reinstated the bulky statistical tables in the 'Demographics' section, which were added by the user Filpro. Those tables didn't add anything new to the section as religious/linguistics details have remained practically constant for the last five or so decades. That's why I discussed on his talk page to reinstate the older version of that section as per the WP:NOTSTATSBOOK. He agreed with me as you can see here under the section 'A couple of suggestions for you'. And that's why he removed those stats tables.

Secondly, your edit also reinstated a temple's image, which was earlier removed by the user Doug Weller with this edit summary: no, this is a 19th century temple. And he is right because Yogmaya Temple is contemporary structure but the image's caption is calling it "one of the five temples of the Mahabharata era".

As of now, I reinstated the 'Demographics' section of an older revision, after making relevant updates & corrections in it. But I didn't tinker with the temple's image. Please guide me if I did something wrong. - NitinMlk (talk) 02:10, 8 July 2016 (UTC)

This Pakistani model was killed few hours ago by her brother for her controversial videos. Now IPs and new accounts are vandalizing the page. Her name in infobox was changed to Qandeel Baloch randi. Gogo, I've had a look at this, and I don't think it's as straight forward as it may appear.

The copyright notice on the Government of Goa website - and quoted following it -

"Material featured on this site may be reproduced free of charge in any format or media without requiring specific permission. This is subject to the material being reproduced accurately and not being used in a derogatory manner or in a misleading context. Where the material is being published or issued to others, the source must be prominently acknowledged." (Underlining mine)

It would seem to me that this raises three issues:

• the text in the deleted article did not prominently acknowledge that it was copied from the website, and must be deleted
• even if the deleted article did prominently acknowledge that it was copied from the website, that copyright license release assertion may be incompatible with the Wikipedia:CC BY-SA thingummy-bob
• even if the copyright license release assertion was compatible with the Wikipedia CC BY-SA doo-hickey, copying text straight from the Government of Goa website would still amount to plagiarism.

What do you think about this?

@Shirt58: Ah, the intricacies of copyright and licensing. Gives me a headache all the time... Another factor to consider is that while that copyright notice is on the Government of Goa website, the text copied is from a different website, so does "this site" apply to a department's website and is inherited? The site that the text was copied from just says "Copyright @ 2015 GPSC" with no extra licensing. Additionally, during one later revision of the article, it had the contact info put in and therefore looks very promotional. My opinion is that even if the license allows copying, the copied text wouldn't be appropriate for a Wikipedia article and would likely be deleted. We could ask the resident copyright expert, Moonriddengirl, for her opinion. I see that the article was recreated yet again and tagged as a copyright violation. @Pharaoh of the Wizards, Blakegripling ph, and Fortuna Imperatrix Mundi: Thanks for pointing this account out. This is a sockpuppet of ANURAG4652. The account was blocked by Vanjagenije after PamD filed an SPI.

This guy has been trying to stuff himself into Harchandpur and Padera articles making it look like he is some big government leader when he is probably some low-level bureaucrat or perhaps even a volunteer with an local Indian government branch. He has been using a few anonymous IPs to try to get himself listed in the articles. It looks like his latest scheme to puff himself up is to create an fictitious "institute" that he is "director" of and insert that into the articles. He likely decided to impersonate me because I semi-protected the two articles and it locked him out of it for awhile. I reset the semi-protection for a month. Requesting to recreate a page Regeza

Hi Dodo. I am requesting to recreate a page by following wikipedia guidelines with different contents as before. Really we were about to start writing articles on Wikipedia to make our contents available wikipedia in our country. we started by a startup company (Organization) (Regeza) but Unfortunately The page was deleted due contents which do not follow guidelines and rules of wikipedia. Please I am requesting to create it again with different content and asking if not all companies are not allowed to be on Wikipedia. @JamesG5: That is fairly common. In both cases, an IP came along after the article deletion to contest the deletion or leave some random message. There's a database report that sweeps up a lot of these. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 07:04, 30 August 2016 (UTC)

Thanks. I've been busy with the editor's edits just before they created an account. As I've blocked that IP for copyvio and just plain terrible editing, the account will be out of business for a while. I've added a copyvio warning to the account.
