Pashtun soapboxer, againMy friend with the Pashtun hangup is at it again - [1] [2], and vandalized my userpage as well [3]. He's contesting his block at user:Moconner, and has been denied by two admins. In addition to his home DSL IPs, he's also used an Apple store in Houston and an airport wifi connection in Amsterdam. Given his persistence, do you think you could semi-protect his favorite targets - War in North-West Pakistan and War in Afghanistan (2001-present)? There have been a couple of others, but these articles get hit most often. I would ask at RFPP, but I'm pretty sure they won't due to the low level of activity. If you've got any other suggestions on how to deal with this, I'd love to hear. Thanks! // Chris (complaints)•(contribs) 21:23, 3 January 2009 (UTC)
Reinstating Rees Associates, Inc.Towards the end of last year, I tried to add our firms historical profile to Wikipedia. I have to admit, I was ill informed as I added several likes to our site causing you to flag me as blunt advertising. I have to clearly state that was not my intention. For that matter, could you please reinstate our title (Rees Associates, Inc.). I believe our firm has a rich history that could add value to the Wikipedia community. Your help will greatly be appreciated. Thank you. Michael Gambon, againHello again Gogo Dodo. I wanted update you about the situation on this page that you helped with a few months ago. When the protection came off the IP's from Spain went back to their old ways of messing up the page. Then a short period of cooperation ensued where they seemed to acknowledge some of our edit summaries and then made some constructive changes. Now, unfortunately, they are back to linking incorrect items, putting lists in the wrong chrono order, putting in unsourced material, etc. If you feel that you could semi-protect the page again for a couple of months (or whatever you are comfortable with) it would be much appreciated. One other thing to be aware of, when the page is protected they have a tendency to put there preferred version on the talk page. Other editors and I revert this. I know that protecting talk pages is not the favorite way to go. However, if you can semi-protect it also they might finally get the message that their edits are not in the best interests of wikipedia. Any help that you can give will be appreciated and thanks for your time. MarnetteD | Talk 20:58, 29 January 2009 (UTC)
hearing linksI'm confused as to why you are removing my external links. Do you want me to instead upload and cross-reference information? It's a very much related foundation, and I would like people to be able to easily acces additional information from another source. Such as stories, or additional information where it is lacking. I'm linking in order to fill in gaps in wikiknowledge. More and more these days, College professors are suggesting the use of Wikipedia external links and references as the springboard for research and writing. Dealing with people who consistently recreate speedied articlesHi Gogo Dodo, first of all I'm impressed, many things I've CSDed or ARVed today has been handled by you. I have an informational question about dealing with people who recreate articles that have been speedied many times. I refer specifically to User:Biochemistrystudents's constant recreation of A7ed Penny gilmer and Penny Gilmer. Is that liable to ARV for a temporary block or perhaps a ban for Vandalism. On the one hand it was clear that it immediately failed WP:N and the user was at least four times recreating a CSD'd article, but on the other the user kept recreating it, perhaps wanting to apply a holdon tag. How should we deal with something like this? Is there a templated warning that exists for this? Thanks, Valley2city‽ 01:07, 13 February 2009 (UTC)

Message from CheesyBroccoliSorry mate, I had put this in the wrong section "Why was my article deleted? I was in the process of creating a very honest and professional page about a specific type of fetish. Im not quite sure how to work all the functions, but I'm improving and I want to make that page an honest and real wikipedia page" - CheesyBroccoli
in additionthere are many pages of sex fetishes on here, so I dont see why this legitimate one gets deleted. It wasnt nonsense or spam, it was just incomplete, if you want to archive the page, and let me work on it later thats fine, but its just wrong that the entire thing got deleted. There are way worse pages on here that need tending too, and I just dont see why a real page that has a few bugs to get worked out of it gets the can because it seems silly at first glance.

OnMobileRe. declined speedy for OnMobile A related, very similar speedy was agreed; I don't see this company is notable, and specifically I don't see how this article can be cleaned up to make a valid entry without starting from scratch. As you decided to decline the speedy, will you be checking all the links to see what portions of the facts they support, or will you be listing the article for AfD? From a quick glance, I see that there is a long list of awards, which is not supported by a reference; the article, therefore, acts as an advertizement for the company concerned; the mere fact it appears on wikipedia serves to promote the organisation. Do you believe that the article will be edited to create useful content? Or will nobody bother, and it will sit here promoting the company, thus abusing the principles of wikipedia? I realise that, technically, it might be possible to find sufficient notability in some obscure financial news item, but I fail to see the value in keeping the article. I would ask you to consider WP:COMMONSENSE, ie what value will this article add to wikipedia. I hope this doesn't sound too accusatory; that's not my intention. I hate spam, I hate spammers, and I'm fed up of spending hours checking obscure reference links, flagging articles as unreferenced, removing spam links, etc etc, just for an anonymous IP to pop in and reinstate them or put yet another odd reference in, which takes time to follow, and often there is a WP:SRS at the end of it. CloseXFD.jsHi there. I feel a bit bad for bothering you again but I thought you might allow me to. I'd like two improvements to the CloseXFD script you have written. First of all, it would be nice if the "close" link would appear on log-subpages as well for those XFDs that use them, for example on Wikipedia:Files for deletion/2009 March 4 or Wikipedia:Templates for deletion/Log/2009 March 3. That would make using it much easier. As for the other improvement idea, a bit complicated I guess, it would be great if (if one chose "delete") the script could open new windows/tabs with the deletion page and the reason prefilled (e.g. [[Wikipedia:Templates for deletion/Log/2009 March 3#Template:The Mysterious Cities]]) for each page linked by templates like {{tfdlinks}} in that section. It would be great if you could consider this. Regards SoWhy 09:57, 13 March 2009 (UTC)

Vandalism on "John Adler"I just wanted to say thanks for stepping in and reverting Larueness's edits. Larueness and a number of other new users have no edits other than this persistent vandalism to the John Adler article (I suspect sockpuppetry). Message from Xtremeskater007I'm sorry. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Xtremeskater007 (talk • contribs) 23:17, 20 March 2009 (UTC) Perplexed by your Non helpful deletionsI have been trying to add some interesting and factual information to my son-in-laws living bio page. (Senator Beau McCoy). Rayc helped me by getting a photo I had taken during the innauguration onto the page. Needless to say I don't know much about this cyber experience. I put in some facts about Beau that my own memory can attest to; and yet I found these things online. The first time you deleted I figured it was because there was no proven reference cited. I did not know how to do this, but I found the "Link" symbol and knew what that was, so I put the pieces back in and then put in links to where they were found online (news stations, newspapers, online groups, and the senators own webpage). Yet you deleted them all again. SO are you totally offended by Beau's political stands and beliefs? Are you doing this for personal reasons? It would seem if I simply have made a mistake in citing references you could send me an e mail or 'talk' and tell me what to do...of just do it by editing the links to what they should be? I'm trying my best...for a grandmother who doesn't do much but read e mail online, I thought I had done pretty well. Anglswings6510
Deletion "Asian Medical Students' Association"Hi there, I am Peter, the current Secretary of Promotion and Publication (an Executive Committee) of Asian Medical Students' Association-www.amsainternational.org I've posted articles about AMSA International but was deleted because of on 05:28, 16 September 2008 by you, because of (G12: Blatant copyright infringement). I need to clarify that AMSA International is a student-led, non-profit, non-political organisation. We're just like other international students organisation, and have been linked by several article (e.g, International Federation of Medical Students Association). And since I'm an official of AMSA, I have the right to copy sentences from our website. Could you please restore it, made an article of it, or explain what should I do? Thanks heaps, Peter Wijaya (talk) 18:24, 21 March 2009 (UTC)

HEEEEEY!!quit doing that! everyone likes pepsi! it should be heard! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Inthe614 (talk • contribs) 07:11, 22 March 2009 (UTC) 'god' are you?Well Mr. 'god'..is it? Neutral? Politics is not neutral and neither are we. We have beliefs and passions, emotions, ideals etc. I was a Democrat for a while, then an Independent. I changed to the Republican party after meeting Senator McCoy in real life, following him for over a year on TV, in newspapers, and hearing speeches. I don't read campaign fliers so YOUR prejudice is showing. By totally obliterating all of my posts, you showed your own biased viewpoint. I also have met US Senator Johanns, Governor Heineman, Shane Osborne, and Chuck Hagel to name a few. I have nothing positive to say about Hagel so I won't post anything to be polite and unoffensive. The others I am not moved by enough to post anything. But Senator McCoy is special and I wanted to let others know a bit about him. I used sources but they weren't good enough for you. Even McCoy's own words about what motivated him to get into politics and how he encourages children to follow their dreams and work hard...were not worthy enough for you to allow to be put on Wikipedia. Again...your prejudices continue to show. I find you and your 'editing' offensive. You don't try to teach, you don't talk with the person whose posting you disagree with, you are no help at all. You are egotistical too. I am thankful there are others on Wikipedia who are willing to help newcomers, teach them, and aren't so completely mean spirited. I hope you are very proud of yourself and get off on your 'power' to delete other's thoughts and words and opinions. The Auld TriangleThe Auld Triangle is an actual (rather large) musical triangle. No images available, probably because it is inside a prison. However, the pub "The Auld Triangle" does used an actual triangle rather than a gallows as its symbol: http://www.auld-triangle.de/auld_triangle_logo.gif The gallows in Mountjoy does not look like this: http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3067/2961807596_ed0d007ffa.jpg?v=0 But more like this: http://www.yorktownsquare.com/img/20070804__0959648400_001__189077~2_Gallery.jpeg except larger, cleaner, the floor goes all the way round the trap door, and has no windows in the walls. My apology'sI am using an anti vandal spell checker my intentions were good. I will be more careful next time. I appreciate your comments and will take notice to future possible mistakes. Best, otisjimmy (talk) 20:53, 23 March 2009 (UTC)
I noticed this article was recreated 3 times in the past 30-40 minutes. Might this need a bit of salt if it's recreated again? Wildthing61476 (talk) 21:01, 23 March 2009 (UTC)
someone else re-blocked me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Didn't you unblock me? Because someone else blocked me. It was SO annoying. I was about to make a page on psychotic polar bears( which deleted for lack of info, even though I put that if anyone had more information to add it). It seems as if it was the user Hersfold who blocked me because he thought that I was the same person who caused the block, but didn't I create my file alot earlier. Also, do you know how to put a picture on an article. That might have saved my article on psychotic bears! Unfortunately I forget to tell them that I was still editing it. If you have anything to say, please post it on my talk page. --Iamfurry (talk) 02:44, 26 March 2009 (UTC)
Bio InfoBio info is left in the band and song section, making your restrictions selective to my entries. All information published is verifiable from the school, county and the band. Censorship is un-american. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Tomassi00 (talk • contribs) 01:26, 27 March 2009 (UTC)
No...That's the facts, it's not defamatory and documentation has been supplied to back up the statement. So... you stop, and as a matter of fact, I think you know where you can stick your silliness. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Tomassi00 (talk • contribs) 01:43, 27 March 2009 (UTC) Your edit to the "Vasily Grigoryevich Zaitsev" articleHey, I recently added some information to the afore mentioned article and you removed it. I agree with your decision to revert it to back the way it was, I got the information from a Russian site that was translated and some of it was translated incorrectly. However, I readded this information with a better interpretation of the information. Thank you for keeping the information in this article correct. New contributorHello. Thanks for sending me the links and updating me on the policies. It was certainly not my intent to publicize a specific website, though I was added links to several articles that went to the same external website. This was only because I found some good entertainment related articles on those sites. I will, however, slow down some and spread the wealth more. I plan to contribute a lot more, specifically to television and entertainment related pages, because that's where my interest lies. I'm also anxious to learn how to use mediawiki so that I may start my own wiki at some point. Again, thanks for letting me know why I was flagged and accept my apology for any links I posted that might have not been appropriate. AstroJones (talk) 22:14, 27 March 2009 (UTC)
External LinksI just wanted to gain some clarification. I understand that External Links are not intended to encompass the many mentions of an article across the web, but in the case of articles about Television series, is it appropriate to link to a review of the series that I find adds more to the concept of the show? Tee HeeFun to be back. :) I've actually never really quite left. Wikipedia has always long been in my browser toolbar. Only real time I wasn't on here for weeks on end was when my old laptop crashed and I had to wait until getting a new one. Then went around making gnomish edits to Random Articles . . . then I came across a page that used to be a redirect but was now a non-notable promotional article. Which demanded an AFD, so I kind of got pulled back in. :) -WarthogDemon 06:07, 29 March 2009 (UTC) Why not just add to it or edit it?Hi. I’m just wondering why it was deleted instead of edited or added on. Why does it have to disappear?! Why do the other home developers get to stay but not the ones I added?! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Punkymonkey987 (talk • contribs) 18:04, 30 March 2009 (UTC)
You're welcomeI'm new at RC page and still feel a bit tentative about reverting edits to users' talk pages. Still, I took a chance on the edit to yours. Glad you're ok with it. I'm always looking for guidance, so if you ever see me headed for trouble please speak up. See ya 'round. Tiderolls 18:42, 31 March 2009 (UTC)
Vandalism warningsI see your point and agree wholeheartedly. I like to see if they'll get bored after that first attempt...usually it leads to a warning anyway. I'm warning more, though, just to keep up with those that are making multiple edits. When I see a 3 or a 4 I know it's someone that knows the score. Thanks for your advice.
