Request for help, pleaseGreetings Belgian man, would you be so kind to help me create an article about Confucius in Nauruan Wikipedia? Please. It's about a Chinese philosopher and is listed as one of the articles every Wikipedia should have. You can shorten it to contain only the basic information, one sentence would be enough. I hope, you could help. Thanks a lot, and best regards. --Amaqqut (talk) 13:12, 17 October 2009 (UTC)

What is a language?Hello, Belgian man! I've stumbled over your name by the discussion about the flag of Bikini. An impressing expression ... And now I'd like to know who or what determines what is a language effectively. Is this not still more or less politics? Roman Tmetuchl International AirportHello Belgian Man. As a note, the Palau International Airport was never renamed Roman Tmetuchl International Airport. There was a bill introduced in the senate but it never became law. The current name for the airport is still Palau International Airport. I happened to stumble on this but not being a very familiar with Wikipedia I did not know how to correct the error. You are now a ReviewerHello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010. Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages. When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here. If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Airport namesSalut Belgian man. Here's something a few of us are working on to try and make sense out of (and put an end, hopefully, to the endless disagreements over) airport names. Your input will be most welcome. Merci! jasepl (talk) 16:09, 1 December 2010 (UTC)
Riga airportPlease stop reverting - several users obviously disagree. If you want to talk start a disccusion on talk page instead of someone's sandbox (I don't see any discussion on this or even airports involved being mentioned). As far as I see the article now uses official names of airprts, while you are pushing for names of settlements they are in. If I was trying to figure out where I was going I would rather like to find article on the airport rather than settlement. ~~Xil (talk) 17:34, 19 December 2010 (UTC)

May I ask you some help?Hello, I'm a Belgian citizen and I found you in the "Belgian page", I would like to ask you some help concerning a wikipedia article about the artist ben heine (www.benheine.com). Please let me know how I can do to improve this article or to have someone do it as I really find it difficult to edit stuff properly on Wikipedia... Caring-writer (talk) I've been following Ben Heine's work for many years, but I noticed that the current article is a text that appeared on Wikipedia in 2006 and that reflects what he did in that time only. He has totally changed and evolved. He has made many more things since then. He is a globally appreciated artist. There aren't so many criticisms about him. The article isn't fair, it REALLY NEEDS MANY UPDATES and contains strong mistakes about the artist. Many well known national newspapers and magazines have talked about him and his work recently (see non exhaustive list here below), none of them is even mentioned in the current article. He has stopped making political art since more than 2 years. Please just consider these publications, most of them are a few days/weeks old only... Daily Mail, The Telegraph, El Pais, Repubblica, De Standaard... These AREN'T blogs!!! These are national papers read by millions of people. Please have a look to the following list of errors in the current article (which I detailed here below, and which I'll mention to several other admins if needed and if not taken into account).
1) Ben isn't a political artist anymore, it's true he used to make political art accusing Israel of "crimes against humanity", but he stopped making such illustrations in 2009 and wrote an "[[open letter to the Jewish Community]]" in December 2010 apologizing about his past behavior (saying it was the influences of his studies in Journalism. Parts of his final assignment talked about the "limits of freedom of expression in cartoons"). In this letter, he also firmly condemned the infamous Iranian Holocaust cartoon contest and said he was feeling deeply guilty about it. Here is the letter translated in English (Google translator). Ben doesn't deny the Holocaust, he visited Auschwitz Birkenau and feels sincerely sorry about the past suffering of the Jewish community. 2) Ben doesn't contribute to these websites anymore: DonQuichotte, MWC News, Rebelion, Tlaxcala, Irancartoon, Syriacartoon, Arabcartoon, Persiancartoon, Karikaturevi, Azercartoon, Dessin d'humour, National Caricaturist Network (Ben has explicitly asked these sites to remove all his illustrations from their platforms) 3) Ben doesn't collaborate with "La Libre Belgique" Anymore. Only 4 or 5 of his old cartoons have been published in this newspaper (in 2006 and 2007). 4) Pencil Vs Camera is not just a "little detail" in his biography, it is a creative and original series that has generated some huge reactions on the web and in the written press (see a non exhaustive list below). It is such an innovation that several TV channels around the world have also talked about it: Globo - Brazil, TV Brussel - Belgium, and many others). Same for "Digital Circlism"... 5) "Pere Ubu" (one of the main newspapers that clearly accused Heine in Belgium has removed the accusation from their site 6) Most of the links in the "notes" section (expecially the url's linking to images on Ben's blog) do not work... 7) Ben removed from his sites (blog, flickr, Deviantart and official site) all his cartoons accusing Israel or any Israeli person (Avigdor Lieberman...). 8) He didn't participate "recently" to the Kruger Workshop. This event happened in 2006!

My suggestions for a new neutral article (it would be good to add some of the above references, feel free to add more) Ben Heine (born 12 June 1983 in Abidjan, Ivory coast) is a Belgian multidisciplinary artist. He is internationally known for his original series "Pencil Vs Camera" and "Digital Circlism". Ben has stopped doing political art since 2009. He has a degree in journalism (Brussels). He also briefly studied graphic arts and sculpture (one year in Hastings, England) but considers himself a self-taught artist. ArtPencil Vs CameraThis is a concept Heine invented in 2010. Heine says it is the result of a long graphic exploration and a logic consequence of his artistic evolution. "Pencil Vs Camera" mixes drawing and photography, imagination and reality through illusion and surrealism. He usually focuses on architecture, portraits, and animals. Among many others, the main themes approached in "Pencil Vs Camera" are love and friendship. Digital CirclismThis is a concept Heine invented in 2010. It is a mix between Pop Art and Pointillism. In this series, Heine usually makes portraits of celebrities with digital tools using flat circles on a black background. Each circle has a single color and a single tone. InfluencesHeine says he has been deeply influenced by German Expressionism, Belgian Surrealism, American Pop Art and Social Realism. PublicationsHeine is represented by several established press agencies everywhere in the world. List of publications interviewsExhibitionsHeine is represented by several established art galeries in Belgium and abroad (UK and USA) and is sponsored by "Samsung Imaging". So far, He has exhibited his creations in Belgium, Great Britain, Turkey, Romania, France, Canada, USA, Germany, Brazil, South Korea and Spain.
Views on IsraelBen used to make political art accusing Israel of crimes against humanity, he stopped making such illustrations in 2009 and wrote an "[[open letter to the Jewish Community]]" in 2011 apologizing about his past behavior. Attempt to change Naura from DAB to REDIRECTMy dreadful attempt to change Naura from DAB to REDIRECT was not vandalism, just my misunderstanding of what needed to be done and my 3 a.m. interpretation of WP:2DAB. But thanks to the UNDO feature, everything can be easily fixed. (I realize now that I should have put a note on the talk page outlining my rationale; a good thing for me to note for future use.) After sleeping on it, (I promise I won't edit Wikipedia in the middle of the night again) I realize that the red link entries have a couple of pages other than DAB pages that link to them (another thing I will note to look at with my eyes open in the future). So having established that my edit was a bad idea, I will go ahead and make a couple of edits that I am sure won't meet with controversy. Thank you, for your time and consideration. References in destination listsI noticed you removed references to destinations at some airports. The only time that references are not necessary is when the airline already flies to that city. References are necessary is when an airline is launching service to a new city. All those references you removed are new services that needs to be sourced to prevent vandalism. You can then remove those reference once the airline has officially launched service to that city. Thanks! Snoozlepet (talk) 05:17, 12 August 2011 (UTC)
London Southend AirportHi. Can you please help? This IP (120.63.155.29) continues to say that London Southend Airport is NOT a London airport...instead of listing the destination as "Southend-on-the-Sea". Is it really? Snoozlepet (talk) 20:49, 31 December 2011 (UTC)
Tel Aviv airportsHi there. Can you explain to this user (Friends147) that Tel Aviv need disambiguation. He removed the disambiguation at quite a few airport pages. There is also passenger service at SDV Airport as well. Thanks and happy new year! Snoozlepet (talk) 15:36, 1 January 2012 (UTC)
DestinationsDestinations are written in their standard form, as you can check from any other airport pages, such as Galeao Airport or Miami International Airport. Jetstreamer (talk) 19:52, 26 February 2012 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for March 8Hi. When you recently edited Ostend-Bruges International Airport, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page National Airlines (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject. It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 10:59, 8 March 2012 (UTC) Thank youHello, Gertjan R. Thank you for your friendly welcome to Dutch Wikipedia. I speak Dutch only falteringly and I write it with difficulty, but I read it well enough to be able to glean information from articles. I went on to Dutch WP to set up a link to my article on Aagje Vanwalleghem. I was sad to learn of her retirement and this spurred me to finish and publish it. I used to visit Belgium a lot, but I am now old and in poor health, so I travel electronically. Best wishes. LynwoodF (talk) 21:55, 7 April 2012 (UTC)

An extended version of my edit summary line: It is easily possible to write serveral other administrative, historical or statistical entities Deutschnofen is belonging to into the introduction. Apart from the province, the region and the state, we have for example the district Salten-Schlern, the Euroregion Tyrol–South Tyrol–Trentino, Northeast Italy, the European Union and so on. But in my view, it's not the point of an introduction to enumerate as many of these entities as possible, but to help the reader to locate the municipality by mentioning those entities they might know and the most important ones. South Tyrol and northern Italy are surely helpful and well known, but Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol? I have strong doubts. Regarding the distance to Trento: Well, Bolzano is the capital of South Tyrol, that is probably good reference point, but it would be more helpful if we took Munich, Venice and Milan instead of Trento... --Mai-Sachme (talk) 09:33, 17 June 2012 (UTC) na.wiki logoI would like for you to look at https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=37674 and express your thoughts. The problem is that at that wiki, the English logo is used and not the Narauan one. I would like for the logo to be pointing to the Commons image, and not local. Either way, a local language logo will be finally used, but the main question is use Commons or stick with local. The Australia challenge would feed into the wider region one and potentially New Zealand could have a smaller challenge too. The main goal is content improvement, tackling stale old stubs and important content and improving sourcing/making more consistent but new articles are also welcome if sourced. I understand that this is a big goal for regular editors, especially being summertime where you are, but if you'd like to see large scale quality improvements happening for Oceania and Australia like The Africa Destubathon, which has produced over 1700 articles in 5 weeks, sign up on the page. The idea will be an ongoing national editathon/challenge for the region but fuelled by a series of contests to really get articles on every province and subject mass improved. The Africa contest scaled worldwide would naturally provide great benefits to Oceania countries, particularly Australia and attract new editors. I would like some support from existing editors here to get the Challenges off to a start with some articles to make doing a Destubathon worthwhile and potentially bring about hundreds of improvements in a few weeks through a contest!
