Welcome. On Sesame Street, they were puppets called the Beetles, so it was right as it was. -- Zanimum 15:44, 15 April 2006 (UTC) License tagging for Image:085340 9d851ef8.jpgThanks for uploading Image:085340 9d851ef8.jpg. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images. For more information on using images, see the following pages: This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 21:04, 11 June 2006 (UTC)
ReversionHi. This was an acceptable edit with a very poor edit summary. Better to not use quasi-rollback for anything barring vandalism, it's a bit rough on the newbies. Your following edit was the better way to handle it. Thanks! - 152.91.9.144 07:30, 22 September 2006 (UTC)
Culture of VermontHi gamekeeper. I based the category name on your suggestion. Please note the category Culture of Quebec which is similar in nature. I am comfortable iwth Vermont not being just exactly like every other state. CApitol3 11:56, 5 October 2006 (UTC)

Hello GameKeeper. I saw your comment on User talk:Anwar saadat in which you said "Hi I noticed your name being involved in the original case of User:Prin being banned. I think User:Prince Godfather is another reincarnation of Prin. I asked him here and he denies this User_talk:Prince_Godfather#Please_do_not_blank_talk_page_entries. User:Prince Godfather was User:Thamizhan which may exlpain the unusual welcome message above. All my evidence is circumstantial; similarity of user names, habit of uploading copy violating material the fact that his user page is very similar to one of the former sockpuppets, see [2], pages edited are similar. I don't know what the correct course of action is, so I thought this would be the best place to report this, if only for your awareness."
Dubh ArtachRe your helpful suggestion about a possible image at the Silverado Museum [5] I have discovered that the booklet is unavailable in the UK and maybe out of print. However the Northern Lighthouse Board confirm that the artist is Sam Bough and that the painting is in a private collection. According to an occasionally reliable source this Scottish painter died in 1878. I am not up-to-speed on art copyright issues and wonder if you can advise? Looking at the history, I was using popups to revert some vandalism - looks like I inadvertently took it back 1 version too far - I was intending to revert to your version. Sorry about that. ThanksHi, just a quick note to thank you for reverting the vandalism to my userpage. Cheers. Adambro 15:01, 2 February 2007 (UTC) VandalUser:Prince Godfather has created well over a dozen articles about Filmfare Awards South without giving any sources at all. I tried to tag one of the articles like this but he reverted them calling me a vandal. Also, I think you are right. He may be the sock puppet of User:Prin after all. Plus I suspect he has a new set of puppets now like User:Alwar who vandalised my page [7], User:Lord Lubbuka Das who keeps giving away awards for free [8], User:Pokkiri who uploads pics with fake copyright tags [9], User:Hariharan91 and User:71.200.53.153 who adds links to his website. [10] All the above activities are trademarks of user:Prin who is in his early teens and live in London. Plus he has begun redirecting articles haphazardly like this where Saravanan Sivakumar is the real name and Surya Sivakumar is the screen name of a actor. Curiously he creates pages for films even before release like Untitled Madhavan/Ram Gopal Varma project. In several cases, the nomenclatures are misleading. For example, Jd-Jerry refers to the pair of brothers JD and Jerry. He redirected the article to J. D. Jerry as if its one director. But the worst offence is probably this: Anjala_Zhaveri, the actress points to Anjala conspiracy. Its difficult to really revert all his redirects. Please take urgent action. Phew! I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged. As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self-no-disclaimers}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use. If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 16:55, 8 April 2007 (UTC). The Romans, in the 1st century, cultivated them in baskets or raised beds mounted on wheels so they could be moved around as the sun moved. The cucumber did not reach Europe until the Middle Ages, and was first cultivated in greenhouses in 19th century England". Seems to contradict itself unless it means the Romans cultivated them outside of Europe in one of their occupied countries. I found a mention in my records of the Bodleian Library manuscripts - In medieval period manuscripts, you can find the cucumber mentioned in an herbal by Apuleis (MS Ashmole 1431), assumed to be written between 1070 and 1100, and in a book on medieval cooking I found "Charlemagne had cucumbers grown in his gardens in 9th-century France. They were known in England at around the same time, but the art of growing them was apparently lost as a result of a long period of wars and turmoil. Cucumbers were reintroduced into England from the Continent some 250 years later". So I think you are right that the introduction in Roman times is incorrect. eDeskOnlineHello, thanks for your interest in an article on edeskonline. You can use the following references to create the article:
Bold text RfA ThanksThanksThanks, but getting the main page seems more like a curse at this point. :-) Tax reform can be controversial so the article has been hit with the usual after such a front page display. It's getting the normal calls for change with little if any substantiation for the dispute. Of course new users see any call for change (substantiated, reasonable, against policy, or otherwise) as reason for banners and complete rewrites. It's quite stressful and I'd much rather be improving more high priority tax articles, but I don't want to see this one degrade in quality due to neglect. I could certainly use the help working through the discussion if you have a some time. We need some level heads and people that understand the policy and perhaps you being from outside the U.S. might help. Morphh (talk) 16:08, 20 July 2008 (UTC)
FairTaxHi Gamekeeper; I think perhaps you don't fully appreciate the bizarreness of the FairTax. The idea that the USA would in one fell swoop replace its entire tax system with a sales tax is simply unimaginable. Nothing short of complete economic collapse could possibly justify such a risk. Almost no economist takes the proposal seriously. If the proponents were serious about this, they would call for a gradual phase-in, starting perhaps with a 5% sales tax and ~20% reduction in other taxes. But they aren't serious, and generally don't even understand their own plan; they're just in love with the radicalness of it. Looie496 (talk) 05:15, 21 August 2008 (UTC)
A Message about the Phorm pageBy way of introduction, I work for Phorm and am working with Wikipedia on behalf of the company. I recently posted a request [21] to another editor [22] of the Phorm page. We want to have a productive and open dialogue and hopefully fix some of the problems in tone and fact with this article – there are quite a few! Unfortunately that post hasn’t progressed, he didn’t comment back to us. As we said on the other editor’s page, we understand the Conflict_of_interest policy and hope we can work within it and with Wikipedia editors like yourself to add or correct facts where appropriate in good faith. Unfortunately, most of the editors to this page do not take the Conflict of Interest policy seriously and have serious axes to grind. They’ve written most of the article, and in tone, structure, fact and approach, the Phorm page falls well out of the bounds of neutrality. For instance: In the section ‘BT trials’ (last sentence), it claims: "The trial still uses the opt-out method and is therefore illegal in the UK according to the Information Commissioner's Office." This is factually inaccurate and untrue. Users are invited to opt in to the trial. The details on the invitation process can be found at: http://www2.bt.com/static/i/btretail/webwise/bt-webwise-trial.html and here's how the Daily Telegraph describes it: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/digitallife/main.jhtml?xml=/connected/2008/09/30/dlphorm130.xml In the section ‘Reaction’ (3rd paragraph), it claims the share price had dropped 85% in March this year. It is not correct that the share price dropped 85% over the period and so was not ‘effectively collapsing’. In fact the share price drifted down over a period of 51 days by 56% from opening at £32.50 on Monday 3 March to £14.25 at the market close on Friday 16 May (based on historical share price data available on Yahoo! Finance) – that’s the same a decline of around 1% a day. Rather than appeal to the powers that be, we’d rather see if the Wikipedia process can work at the community level as it was designed to. It’s our hope that we can work with you to moderate the changes we suggest and help create an encyclopedic article that truly fits Wikipedia’s neutrality policy. If you don’t choose to get involved maybe you could suggest a different editor: someone who has a history of commitment to Wikipedia and can approach this project without bias. However if you do think this is something you can help with let us know. We'll look for your reply either here, or on the Phorm Talk page, or on our user page, and we’ll listen to your recommendation on how to move forward. IworkforPhorm (talk) 14:58, 3 October 2008 (UTC)
Back in December I flagged some corrections needed on the Phorm talk page but thus far no editors have addressed them. Can you help? Thank you. IworkforPhorm (talk) 18:01, 12 January 2009 (UTC) Income tax imageGamekeeper, an editor commented out your image Image:Income Taxes By Country.svg from the Tax rates around the world article with the comment "Hide chart that is showing something, but I havent a clue what. It has a purple bar and a green bar measuring someting on a scale that isnt defined". I took a look at the image, as I've dealt with it on this article and the income tax article in the past, and for some reason now it looks all messed up. Not sure if the svg is missing the xml or what... maybe it got screwed up in some move to Wikimedia Commons, or maybe something changed on Wikipedia. But in any case, it doesn't format correctly any more. Perhaps you could take a look and reupload if you still have it. Thanks Morphh (talk) 14:03, 07 November 2008 (UTC)
