Draft decline appeal

My draft article for recent Canadian annexation proposals is 12 KB, way longer than many stubs are. I created the draft because I believe the main "Movements for Canadian annexation to the United States" article has an excessively detailed section on recent developments already, and that it ought to be trimmed. However, I feel that the information should be retained, and that more information could be added and angles covered, so I feel that an independent article is necessary. I feel that this is a topic of sufficient importance to warrant it having its own article even today, and it's very unlikely that calls for annexation will become irrelevant after Trump's inauguration, further adding to the amount of potential content. Should this topic stay subsumed within the main "movements for Canadian annexation" article, it's exceedingly likely that it will come to comprise more than a third of the total article, primarily alongside historical events over a century old which are totally irrelevant to the recent overtures for annexation.
