FredModulars Sorry to intrude, being curious/nosey I noticed your personal practice copy of the Getúlio Vargas article and have seen your struggle learning wiki code. I too had to learn by trial and error, as I found the help pages too complex, written in "techno speak" to cater to other "technos". Anyways, to my point. 48Pills You're not intruding/being nosey at all (it's Wikipedia after all). I was having quite a bit of trouble with most of what you said, mainly because I use the visual editor after originally using the source editor for most of my edits. That’s a great start (love the edit summary), but please make sure to remove the actual content that is being cited as well. Removing just the source is almost useless as it leaves unsourced content that was originally unreliably sourced. It’s like how if wine turns to vinegar, you can’t just pour it into a new bottle. FredModulars Plus there's another thing you need to watch out for... If you look down at the references on Halsey_(singer), you will see there is the following: Cite error: The named reference :22 was invoked but never defined (see the help page). This is because the citation you deleted began like this <ref name=":22">{{Cite web|url=https://chartmasters.org/2019/03/streaming-masters-halsey/|title=Streaming Masters - . So, you would need to find every usage of the tag <ref name=":22"> and for each, remove the tag plus remove the text being referenced by that tag. 48Pills (talk) 02:17, 3 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

For right at this moment, we are still removing sources that are unreliable (if you need more clarification, direct here). Other than that, we've been just trying to get on top of new songs and album releases (for example Sour (Olivia Rodrigo album)) and such! I see you've been making contributions of your own, and I applaud you for that! Colons and asterisks

Hi -- just stopping by to explain why I'm fiddling about with the indents in the FAC review. This is something that took me years to get right on Wikipedia, until someone took pity on me and explained it to me. The rule is that if you're within a list that contains indents (colons) or bullets (asterisks) or both, you should indent/bullet further by completely repeating the previous editor's indent, then adding either a colon or an asterisk. If you do anything else you sometimes have no issues, but it can lead to weird results (and I think it messes up screen readers for visually impaired editors).

For example, here's a legitimate sequence:

  • Another bulleted reply
  • Another bullet at the same indent level

Here's what it can look like if you do it differently -- you get these weird extra bullets. Take a look in the edit window and you'll see what went wrong.

Wikiproject Military history coordinator election nominations open

Nominations for the upcoming project coordinator election have opened. A team of up to ten coordinators will be elected for the next coordination year. The project coordinators are the designated points of contact for issues concerning the project, and are responsible for maintaining our internal structure and processes. They do not, however, have any authority over article content or editor conduct, or any other special powers. More information on being a coordinator is available here. ArbCom 2023 Elections voter message

Hello! Voting in the 2023 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 11 December 2023. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
