Doing this is called "emptying categories out of process" and is considered disruptive editing. If you believe a category should be deleted, renamed or merged, please nominate it at Categories for Discussion. Categories exist in an interrelated hierarchy and what affects one category can impact others. So, please use CFD in the future if you believe a category should be deleted. Thank you. Liz Read!
