As part of the project's New Year's Resolutions, there is an ongoing effort to decrease the number of stubs to 10%. As of August 16, we are at 12.09%, with 518 articles currently in Category:Stub-Class Professional wrestling articles. It still would be greatly appreciated if members would expand, source and improve stub articles, and a list has been placed on the stub article subpage of stub articles of well-known wrestlers and tag teams that should be fairly easy to improve.
Based on the members list, there are currently 230 members participating in WikiProject Professional wrestling.

This section is intended to warn users about potential targets of vandalism and speculation: professional wrestling events from major promotions for the month of September.

Recent Professional Wrestling News

On August 16:
- Hiroshi Tanahashi vacated the IWGP Heavyweight Championship after he suffered a broken orbital bone in a match with Shinsuke Nakamura.
- Valiente won the Mexican National Welterweight Championship by defeating Sangre Azteca.
- Player Dos won the Chikara Young Lions Cup by defeating Colin Delaney in the final of the 2009 Young Lions tournament.
- At TNA's Hard Justice pay-per-view:
  - ODB won the TNA Women's Knockout Championship when she and Cody Deaner defeated the defending champion Angelina Love and Velvet Sky in a tag team match.
  - Samoa Joe won the TNA X Division Championship by defeating Homicide.
  - Kevin Nash defeated Mick Foley to win the TNA Legends Championship.
  - Elijah Burke made his TNA debut under the name "the Pope" D'Angelo Dinero.
On August 17, it was reported that TNA signed a three year deal with Spike TV, and that TNA had replaced color commentator Don West with Taz.
Dragon Gate USA announced a television deal with The Fight Network on August 18.
On the August 20 episode of TNA Impact!, an eight-team tournament to crown the first TNA Women's Knockout Tag Team Champions was announced. The tournament will commence on the August 27 episode of Impact!.
On August 21, Alex Koslov won the AAA Cruiserweight Championship by defeating the defending champion Extreme Tiger, and Jack Evans, Teddy Hart, and Rocky Romero in an elimination match.
On August 23:
- CM Punk won the World Heavyweight Championship by defeating Jeff Hardy in a Tables, Ladders, and Chairs match at SummerSlam.
- Ring of Honor announced that Bryan Danielson had agreed to a contract with WWE "in principle".
On August 27, WWE announced that, effective of September 2, they will be suspending Rey Mysterio for a violation of the Wellness Program.

If you come across an article that fails notability requirements, you can tag it for speedy deletion if the criteria apply, propose it for deletion, or nominate it at WP:AFD.
If a sentence seems to be untrue or does not have a source, add a ^{[citation needed]} tag directly after it. In the case of biographies of living persons, if the material is contentious and either unsourced or poorly sourced, it should be removed immediately.
Avoid overlinking in an article. If a subject has been linked once already in the body paragraphs, there is no need to link it again. Lists are the only exceptions to this policy.
Do not give undue weight to recent events in articles.

It has not merit to be in his main article let alone under that header. His discography page may be more appropriate.
