Successful GANI just saw that John Day Fossil Beds National Monument passed its GA review. After your hard work last summer, I knew the article could easily become a GA if it had been nominated as such. Don't bother about Portal:Oregon/Good articles, I've already added it to that page, and Wikipedia:WikiProject Oregon/Featured is bot-updated. Anyway, congratulations! I've addressed a lot of the issues you raised at Wikipedia:Peer review/SRI International/archive1, and wanted to see if you had any other thoughts on the peer review or the article, particularly its coverage; is there some aspect of a company that performs research that isn't covered by the article? Of course, the biggest issue with the article now is WP:V, but that's going to take a lot of research time to fix. Anyway, thank you for your help :) Disavian (talk) 16:47, 17 February 2012 (UTC) Hutton FACAs you reviewed Len Hutton at PR, you may be interested in the FAC at the moment, which is rather lonely. UcuchaBot (talk) 23:02, 14 March 2012 (UTC) RiffenburghHi, please don't break harv links when updating citations. This edit broke the downlink from the footnote to the full citation because you combined the last and first names into a single 'editor' parameter. Harvard links require that the last name and first name be given as discrete values (or the ref field be explicitly set; n/a here). I've fixed it. Properly identifying the parts of a citation is proper database structure even absent harv's dependence on it. Alarbus (talk) 03:11, 15 March 2012 (UTC)

What makes a copyeditor?I have a question of a rather delicate nature to ask you, since you're one of the best copyeditors (or if you prefer, copy editors) I know. I've noticed well-meaning people try to copyedit something and remove the {{copyedit}} tag, perhaps because of a drive put on by the guild of copyeditors or some such, and...uh...well...in my humble opinion, they're just not very good at it. It's a good problem to have, the problem of people who want to copyedit, because speaking for myself, I'm certainly too lazy to do more than tag articles most of the time, but has this been addressed anywhere? If one had to be qualified at a professional level, we'd never get any editing done around here, but it kind of bums me out. Is there a copyeditors' school to which I could point people? Valfontis (talk) 22:07, 5 April 2012 (UTC) Went exploring from the mouth to about the "e" in Pringle today. This map (which you've already cited) is the best we've found so far. I'll upload the pics (good, bad, ugly) soon hopefully. We hope to check out the rest of the course soon, except the East Fork looks like an unlovely ditched mess. If you have a spare moment or two, you might like to look at this offbeat effort which deals with a rather curious legal case of c.140 years ago. Well outside my general orbit, currently under peer review. Do let me know if I can return review favours for you. Briefly commenting on your earlier correspondent's concerns about copyediting, I agree that most of what passes for ce on Wikipedia is pretty low quality. I don't believe the grandly-named "Guild of Copyeditors" can do much to solve the problem. The ability to craft prose to a professional standard is a skill normally honed over many years that can't, alas, be picked up on the basis of a few tips. So we are dependent on the goodwill of our best writers who, unsurprisingly, are often among our busiest. Brianboulton (talk) 15:46, 18 April 2012 (UTC)

Cricket cap in hand...Another begging request I'm afraid! Arthur Mold is currently at PR here, and I've had a "cricket review" so to speak, and was hoping you could take a look from a non-cricketer's viewpoint. By my standards, it is extremely short, but involves something of a cricket technicality. I'm not sure how well I've explained the intricacies, or indeed if the intricacies can be explained to someone who is not overly familiar with cricket. If you have neither the time nor inclination, that is not a problem at all as I have most likely exhausted any cricket enthusiasm you may ever have possessed! But your comments are always both welcome and very helpful. --Sarastro1 (talk) 12:46, 29 April 2012 (UTC)

Clinton Street TheaterThanks for your contributions! No doubt there have been many more special events, celebrity appearances, but the current form of the article represents about as much of the online content I could find using search engines. If I knew of other events and associated with the theater I would narrow down my search focus and update the article accordingly. Please feel free to update the article as much as you'd like, especially if you have access to other articles from The Oregonian archive, etc. I might nominate the article for Good status soon, unless you have concerns or suggest otherwise. --Another Believer (Talk) 20:35, 7 May 2012 (UTC)

Credo Reference Update & Survey (your opinion requested)Credo Reference, who generously donated 400 free Credo 250 research accounts to Wikipedia editors over the past two years, has offered to expand the program to include 100 additional reference resources. Credo wants Wikipedia editors to select which resources they want most. So, we put together a quick survey to do that:
It also asks some basic questions about what you like about the Credo program and what you might want to improve. At this time only the initial 400 editors have accounts, but even if you do not have an account, you still might want to weigh in on which resources would be most valuable for the community (for example, through WikiProject Resource Exchange). Also, if you have an account but no longer want to use it, please leave me a note so another editor can take your spot. If you have any other questions or comments, drop by my talk page or email me at wikiocaasi@yahoo.com. Cheers!
