Hi. As you recently commented in the straw poll regarding the ongoing usage and trial of Pending changes, this is to notify you that there is an interim straw poll with regard to keeping the tool switched on or switching it off while improvements are worked on and due for release on November 9, 2010. This new poll is only in regard to this issue and sets no precedent for any future usage. Your input on this issue is greatly appreciated. Off2riorob (talk) 23:34, 20 September 2010 (UTC) about tv showsHi finalius, I know lots about tv shows as i am a big tv watcher, particularly a watcher of animated shows. Some of my favorites include Cyberchase, which i have watched every episode of, wordgirl, what's with andy and Biz kids. I', statring to like Fetch with Ruff Ruffman. I watch lots of tv and i remember it. that's my secret. sometimes, i hear a voice that makes me think of a voice actor that i know of 9i look up voice actors), and i wonder who it is. See my Jes Brieden or Catherine Thompson on Biz Kids question for an example of a question i ask about voice confusion. Hope this helps, 204.112.104.172 (talk) 12:36, 8 October 2010 (UTC) Re:ThanksThanks for the barnstar, but I really didn't do much; I just shouted at the guy and let him know that we know he's a vandal and a sockpuppeteer. I hope that will shoo him away. The User:Damn cookies! account, at least, hasn't edited since I posted my tirade. As for "hosting" the DAFT page, I don't think of myself as being in charge of the page or anything, even informally. I just stumbled upon it one day, and started adding silly titles whenever I happened upon them—and then the vandal showed up. I suppose I'm the page's busiest editor now that the creator, User:Grutness, is semi-retired. I try not to mess too much with DAFT, because I want to concentrate on content work, but it's nice to know that someone else cares about it. A. Parrot (talk) 01:08, 15 October 2010 (UTC) More DAFT troubleWhat do you think of this?

Re: WP:NTHINGSNo, there's no way that the list numbering can be maintained with it split up. That's simply a limitation of the wiki markup. What I have done is to put the original number in brackets right before. Those two items really aren't that big of a deal, though. 1985 is really quite obvious, and 2323 is really not all that funny, and should probably be deleted since it's really just repeating #42 in the original list (the number 42 has far greater significance than the number 23). But either way, people should still get it if the number before is 2323 or 323. I think the benefits of the split sections will outweigh the minor numbering issue. Editing will be less cumbersome and faster by allowing the loading of a shorter list during the process, and there will be less chances of someone screwing up earlier entries as well. WTF? (talk) 00:09, 24 November 2010 (UTC) Re:Newest Daft ProblemI suppose I could be wrong, but it strikes me as suspicious that an IP showed up adding vandalism pages to DAFT, a project page that casual users wouldn't be likely to find. It strikes me as really suspicious that the first instance of that (in early November) was the IP's third edit, and came only two weeks after Damn cookies left DAFT alone. Even if it wasn't the same person, I didn't think it could do any harm (somebody unrelated would just look at the message and scratch their head over it), while if it was the same person I thought it might make him/her a little more uncomfortable continuing to mess with DAFT. Perhaps the accusation was unfair to Damn cookies, who has apparently stopped making troublesome edits under that account, but I didn't level the accusation against Damn cookies anyway. In any case, three people have undone the IP's edits and he or she still won't stop. This is pretty clearly a vandal determined to add vandalism to the page in defiance of the rules. Dealing with people like this (and figuring out whether suspicious people are actually decent or just lying) is not what I'm good at, nor what I signed up for. I'll ask User:Graham87 about it; he contributes to DAFT, and he's an administrator, who did sign up for it. As for my talk page: I'll probably archive it sometime soon, but it doesn't strike me as urgent. Some people have much longer talk pages. A.
