Question from SoCalGuy71 (00:12, 9 September 2023)
Hello. Re: Jimmy Buffett occupation_ I do not know how to edit. So I am asking someone who knows how to consider this, if possible- Jimmy Buffett in at least one concert in 2008, mentioned that his passport showed his occupation as "Summer Extender" It might have been tongue in cheek , or just for the crowd, but thinking about his music and his life, I think it would be awesome if we could add that to his "occupation". He certainly extended summer for his millions of fans. I know that this is not a true occupation per the conventional world, but JB was anything but conventional. Let me know what you think. --SoCalGuy71 (talk) 00:12, 9 September 2023 (UTC)
Hi SoCalGuy71, editing is easy, you just click edit at the top of the page and add content, but you have to provide a citation to a reliable source - see WP:RS and WP:CITE on how to do this. As I'm not familiar with the subject, you could also ask this question on the article's talk page. Fieryninja (talk) 07:00, 9 September 2023 (UTC)
Reliable source
Hi, thanks for being an editor here at Wikipedia! I was hoping to better understand what is or isn't a "reliable source." I linked to an article interpreting a written work and containing citations to the written work itself -- I've written professionally my entire career. The content I linked to is also reviewed by third-parties before publication, so I wanted to see if this information makes the source sufficiently "reliable" for citation -- please feel free to sanity check the citations yourself! The underlying work is available for free here:
Hi Matthewehoffman it's fine to cite an academic paper, but the source that you added is self-published. I don't know how the entries are reviewed on that website, but for an artist such as Salvador Dalí editors will expect high quality published sources - see WP:RS and in particular the sections about self published sources. Fieryninja (talk) 17:44, 11 September 2023 (UTC)
That makes sense. We have a four-step quality control process at To Nap, Divine, where one person write an article and cites sources, another person reviews the article and citations, the author edits in response, and the final editor signs off on publication. Is that sufficient to qualify, and if not, is there anything I can do to qualify in the future? Thanks again! meh 19:52, 11 September 2023 (UTC) meh 19:52, 11 September 2023 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Matthewehoffman (talk • contribs)
Hi Matthewehoffman it's still a self published source, despite the editor reviews. Part of the reason WP uses well known published sources like newspapers or academic papers is that the authors have a professional editorial history. It sounds like this is motivated by either vanity or profit, because you don't want to use the academic paper as the source, only your own. Fieryninja (talk) 20:10, 11 September 2023 (UTC)
To be clear, there isn't an academic paper — if you'd followed the link, you'd see it's Dali's piece, itself, and I didn't see a summary of it online, hence my writing one myself. I have no problem updating the cites to the book itself if you'd prefer, just let me know. To be clear, I do not write or edit Wikipedia for profit or self promotion. meh 21:20, 11 September 2023 (UTC) meh 21:20, 11 September 2023 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Matthewehoffman (talk • contribs)
OK, so to be clear, I can't cite the text itself in support of what it says, but I can cite a reliable secondary source (not self published) that does so? I want to make sure I have it right before I take a crack at another update. meh 23:19, 11 September 2023 (UTC) meh 23:19, 11 September 2023 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Matthewehoffman (talk • contribs)
The article Triforce you nominated as a good article has passed ; see Talk:Triforce for comments about the article, and Talk:Triforce/GA1 for the nomination. Well done! If the article has never appeared on the Main Page as a "Did you know" item, and has not appeared within the last year either as "Today's featured article", or as a bold link under "In the news" or in the "On this day" prose section, you can nominate it within the next seven days to appear at DYK. Bolded names with dates listed at the bottom of the "On this day" column do not affect DYK eligibility. Hi! I'm new to this and completely lost. Right now, I'm just trying to understand how to save changes in the sandbox. I read there is supposed to be a blue "save changes" tab in the right corner but I don't see it. Thank you. Ken --Roundstein (talk) 19:06, 1 October 2023 (UTC)
Hi Roundstein you click edit source at the top right of the sandbox. Make your changes in the edit window. Then at the bottom of the edit window you will see an edit summary box where you can explain what you have changed. Below that is a blue publish changes button. When you click that button, your changes have been made. Happy editing! Fieryninja (talk) 19:52, 1 October 2023 (UTC)
Thank you Fieryninja. Another question: How do I set up categories, like Early Life, Discography, references and background info with photo, like I've seen on a lot of pages? thx! Roundstein (talk) 21:22, 3 October 2023 (UTC)
Hi Roundstein you create sections in your article by adding subheadings which can be found at the top of the edit window. To add an image you upload it via WP:FUW but you need to follow the rules around copyright if you are using a copyrighted image. The most important thing that you must add to the article is citations to support every single statement in the article and demonstrate notability of the subject. See WP:CITE. To demonstrate notability you normally need at least two references to reliable sources which are about the subject. Fieryninja (talk) 21:53, 3 October 2023 (UTC)
Hi Fieryninja. Thanks for your help so far. My question at present is how can I create a link within the Discography, so that when you click on the title to a recording it takes you to a page where you get track listing, personal and reception? thanks! --Roundstein (talk) 13:48, 8 October 2023 (UTC)
Hi Roundstein I'm not sure why you need to link to another page. Based on the content you have added in your sandbox, you can just add all of the relevant information on one page. Firstly you have to establish notability and I don't see any citations added to support the content yet. Usually you only need a discography page if the subject is notable and has a large catalogue of works. Fieryninja (talk) 15:12, 8 October 2023 (UTC)
Hi Fieryninja. I'm getting ready to add in Citations. My immediate question is how to put a footnote after something to be cited and add the cite into the references section. Thanks! Roundstein (talk) 14:11, 9 October 2023 (UTC)
Hi Roundstein firstly you need to add reflist - see [1] under a References heading at the bottom of the page, then you need to add the citations. You do this by placing the cursor at the end of the sentence and in visual editor, you click the quote mark at the top of the editor window, then paste the url in the automatic box and it should automatically populate the citation for you. Sometimes it doesn't work, but you can fill it out manually if needed. Fieryninja (talk) 14:18, 9 October 2023 (UTC)
Hi again Fieryninja. My question right now is I want to add a Column and rows beneath what I've already done with and I can't figure out how to do it. I had it before in a previous draft and must have accidentally deleted it. Thx. --Roundstein (talk) 15:01, 12 October 2023 (UTC)
HI Fieryninja. Question - I'm trying to edit the copyright and licensing info on the image uploaded. From what I read, it says if I click on the image it should lead me to the description page, but when I click on the image its only bringing me to the Edit: Infomusic box page. Thx! --Roundstein (talk) 13:32, 17 October 2023 (UTC)
Hi Roundstein you have to click on the image (without editing the page), then click on the blue button "More details", and you will be able to see the image's file page. Your image page is here: [2]. If this is a copyrighted image, you have to provide the rationale and the details about where the image came from. To see an example, look at this copyrighted image page: [3]. You need to provide the copyright owner, the source url, and the purpose of use in the article. You can click edit on that example page to see how to add the information. Fieryninja (talk) 14:12, 17 October 2023 (UTC)
Hi Roundstein, Here is another example for a real person [4]. If you click edit on the Licensing section, you can see how to add the correct licensing category for a non free bio. Fieryninja (talk) 14:19, 17 October 2023 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free image File:Link With Master Sword Super Smash Bros.png
Thanks for uploading File:Link With Master Sword Super Smash Bros.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

I tried to add a suggestion for where the Thousand Years War appears in popular culture and suggested that it forms the historical context for the Disney Movie Encanto. The suggestion was removed because of lack of a reliable source. How does one source an instance of popular culture? GimpeltheFool (talk) 07:29, 31 October 2023 (UTC)
Hi GimpeltheFool often finding a reliable source is the most difficult part of editing Wikipedia. If this is a known fact, then surely this must have been mentioned in an article somewhere? Perhaps keep searching on Google and you will find a source you can use. Fieryninja (talk) 07:41, 31 October 2023 (UTC)
Hi and thanks for your contribution! I think we already make it clear in the article that Link was designed to be gender neutral so that anyone can relate to him. Most of the commentary in the Gizmodo article is fan commentary which we can't use as its not critical reception, but I could add a line in the reception using The Mary Sue source. We don't really need three sources to make one point as its already a really long article! :) Fieryninja (talk) 13:06, 31 October 2023 (UTC)
Hello. I just created my first page and uploaded a photo and published. It said I had created the page but when I look for my contributions nothing shows up. The page is also not live, but I thought it might take some time for that to show. Thanks, Semperpub --Semperpub (talk) 19:26, 2 November 2023 (UTC)
Hi Semperpub I have looked at your contributions and theres no record of you creating a new page. In fact, you only have one edit on record which is on this talk page. Not really sure what went wrong. I suggest you build your new article in your sandbox and make sure you save all your changes by clicking the blue button underneath the edit window. Once you have built the article you can submit the page for publication. Fieryninja (talk) 19:32, 2 November 2023 (UTC)
I’m confused because I hit the blue button to publish it. I also added a photo. How can I find where the photo went to? The title of the photo is Aerial Nurse Corps of America Semperpub (talk) 19:52, 2 November 2023 (UTC)
I was able to locate the photo and attach it to my page in the Sandbox but it continues to say that I have not added anything. I hit publish, it said it was published but I don't know why it's not linking it to my sandbox/page. Semperpub (talk) 21:56, 2 November 2023 (UTC)
Hi Semperpub I can see the article and the image in your sandbox. I dont know what message you keep getting but it looks like you have created a completed article. There should be a button at the top of the page that you click to submit the article for review. Fieryninja (talk) 22:37, 2 November 2023 (UTC)
Hi. I have look at everything on the page but there is no button to submit for review. Is there any other way to submit it? Thanks Semperpub (talk) 18:14, 3 November 2023 (UTC)
Nevermind. I found a code to use and it says it went to review. Thanks and sorry for so many questions but my pages are still not acting correctly. It still says I have no edits. Hope it worked. Semperpub (talk) 18:24, 3 November 2023 (UTC)
Hi ToosieJoosie I am not familiar with this genre at all so I'm unable to help. I suggest discussing your edits further on the article talk page to seek agreement with the other editor or you could try dispute resolution WP:DRR. Fieryninja (talk) 08:27, 14 November 2023 (UTC)
@Fieryninja thank you for your response. I would like assistance/ advice regarding behaviour and block threats , in between the topic, if possible please as I don't think it has anything to do with the genre as said editor(s) have also started "tracking/ hounding" my edits on other , entirely unrelated topic/articles.
I.e.
I was never supposed to have "been taken" to Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents#User:ToosieJoosie or posted there in the first place , as the editor was supposed to start a talk on the article's talk page as per normal wiki procedure. Instead he "initiated at ANI".
Shortly, after that I have been experiencing , 'bias', 'mob justice' like baiting and provocations both in the thread at ANI as well as via 'tracking/ WP:HOUNDING' and constant "unwarranted" threats of being blocked , as well as "only my specific" edits, even on a "non-related" article and then further accusing , baiting or blaming me of something, I have not done or not the reason ; User talk:Daniel Case#Afro Tech semiprotection , User talk:ToosieJoosie , User talk:ToosieJoosie , Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents#User:ToosieJoosie (last comments), all again only by "the specific group of editors" and/or what appears to be "their recruit editors" , "joining in out of nowhere".
It has stopped for now , however if the matter escalates or continues, what can be done on my part for it to end and for myself to not be baited into being blocked as well as "only my edits" constantly inhibited / confronted - please? ToosieJoosie (talk) 10:39, 14 November 2023 (UTC)
Thank you for your prompt response, once again @Fieryninja. I would also like to create other articles , some ideas also perhaps within the scope of genres of music ( However, I am currently 'fearful' and 'demotivated'). If I do this ( other article creations as well as continue editing on other pages) in addition, simply "remain silent" - @ Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents#User:ToosieJoosie , can they still go ahead and implement a block? ToosieJoosie (talk) 13:26, 14 November 2023 (UTC)
Greetings @Fieryninja, @Daniel Case , @Bruce1ee and @Dxneo (if I am mentioning you as well, it's because I need all the assistance, possible and I don't know who else to reach out to , again -please)- Unfortunately, (it's me again). Yesterday, I created a new page - Afro House , the same editor 'Solidest' who initiated, the above previous incident at ANI without initiating a content/edit dispute on the previous page's aticle talk page , has now requested for an entire page WP:SPEEDY deletion Special:Contributions/Solidest (I came across the banner while I was doing an update , edit but then when I tried to map it, it appeared to be 'gone' (I don't know how to find it) and has also not moved the new page/ connected the page to a wikidata item, as per normal wiki procedure, if I am not mistaken, even after another editor already reviewed and patrolled the page finding 'no major' issues - as well as a few other editors as per https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Afro_House&action=history . He also entirely unlinked it @https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Styles_of_house_music&action=history , it has been done in a way as a newcomer where I have no idea how to contest or revert it, as it doesn't display in the page's edit history, no banner template , nor on the article's talk page.
Both these genres are predominantly titled as such and appears to be because they are two seperate words and they are both the first and last words of the title(s). MOS:5LETTER
What I find strange is that this editor previously accused me of "posting false sources" as references on my talk page for the previous article Afro Tech in combination with stipulating the page move was done because of "no genre caps/ mispelled -Improper capitalization of page titles, against capitalization guidelines" etc., when I explained that's how the specific genre is spelled, predominantly. There is a also a genre page in the same category of music Hard NRG, which is spelled in a similiar format without any issues and the same editor, 'Solidest' appears in the edit contributions history log https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Hard_NRG&action=history as far back as 2020, if I am not mistaken and this page "still" only has 3 sources references/sources, up to date.
Yoh !! That is a long conversationto go through. Oh hello ToosieJoosie, my advice to you is, try to stay out of trouble, treat the site as if it's the courtroom meaning you must mind your language and take precautions when pointing fingers like how you said someone is using sockpuppetry/multiple accounts, I also have this account and ihateneo. Every newly created page goes through WP:NPR where experienced editors review the page and correct some mistakes before it can be displayed/searched on Google, and that's how I found the Afro tech article since I mostly work on South African music related articles. You also started an edit war with me after I reviewed the article and I was just like okay it's fine someone will eventually attend to it and they did. Since you are new here, you must know that you don't "own" any article even if you have created it, and since you seem South African and interested in Music in South Africa, I'll keep my taps on you to help out where I can, feel free to visit my talk page if in need of any assistance. Happy editing Thank you. dxneo (talk) 13:24, 16 November 2023 (UTC)
Wow, seeing colloquial South African slang used here by a fellow editor (Yho) is so refreshing , I literally had a good laugh 😂, immediately smiled and this uplifted my morale so much, thank you for that Dxneo 😊🙏♥. Eish - I will admit, during my first few days, I did make a few embarassing blunders or 'test edits' and even still sometimes, up until now. I recall, that I wanted to update an article and because I hadn't found a source yet, I "re-verted the edit" but then mistakenly 'left' /the linked the wrong artists and then where the previous edit was supposed to have, been. I felt WP:BITEn by your post regarding those edits on my talk page but then later realized how those 'test edits' would be seen as nonsensical or even WP:VAND by an experienced editor.
I guess between yourself and 'the other editor' of course I am sensitive regarding the circumstances and content or edit disputes etc. as the author of the other, article(s). I must say , I am currently growing a thicker skin and also a lot more open to constructive criticism regarding my edits and 'wikistandards',now. I mentioned you here because after you reviewed Afro Tech , I thought it meant you approved of it, only now I am realizing that it's a part of the wikiprocedure and doesn't mean it's a B class article , for example. I also realized that you are South African and work on a lot of South African articles too, so I am really happy to have 'made this connection'.
ToosieJoosie, it's okay mate, even old heads like the administrators often make mistakes, Wikipedia is a very big place and full of guidelines which cannot grasp all at once I mean I couldn't even memorize 12 lines of Life Sciences essay happy editing, I'll be in touch, remember to ping if you need help or you can email me Thank you. dxneo (talk) 17:24, 16 November 2023 (UTC)
Hi @Dxneo, I hope you don't mind me pinging you over here as a pre- "third party" opinon. Please see Talk:Afro house. As per previosly stipualted the page move request was conducted without my prior warning and then further implemented while the discussion was still ongoing and without bothing of us having reached an agreement or resolution, yet. Is this 'normal' or 'allowed'? Furthermore, is there anything I can do? What is your take on specifically, it-please. ToosieJoosie (talk) 17:32, 16 November 2023 (UTC)
ToosieJoosie, there are experienced editors at WP:RM for this particular event, and yes I'm also a page mover, but this often depends on the sources but remember it is "Hip hop" not Hip Hop, so I guess the same logic applies. Remember that's my opinion, take the matter to WP:RM Thank you. dxneo (talk) 17:55, 16 November 2023 (UTC)
Thank you @Dxneo, I have tried the WP:RM template, twice and the banner isn't dispaying and/or it's displaying as normal text/ topic on the talk page or Sandbox. I definitely need to practice more or watch a Youtube tutorial for this 😂😂.
P.S. This will be my last response regarding this here, to respectfully and no longer disturb the other editors on this thread as well as no longer create a spectacle for 'watchers' (if any).

Question from Kaash Suvarna (00:31, 26 November 2023)
Hello! Voting in the 2023 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 11 December 2023. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
Hi Kms1965 you can paste your draft into your sandbox and submit it for review. You can also create it as a new draft page as Draft: Jen Olive by searching for it and then following the instructions at the top of the page. Fieryninja (talk) 17:11, 2 December 2023 (UTC)
Thanks so much for the advice - it was very helpful. I have just one more question: After submitting the article for approval, will I be notified if there are problems? Should I just assume the process is going as it should? Wiki is still very mysterious to me. Thanks! Kms1965 (talk) 16:55, 9 December 2023 (UTC)
Hi Kms1965 I can see you have pasted the article in your sandbox. You should see a blue button at the top of the page "submit your draft for review". When you click that, the article will eventually be reviewed by another editor and they will decide if it suitable for Wikipedia. They will accept or reject it and may add comments to the draft, so you will get notifications on your talk page about its progress. Fieryninja (talk) 18:13, 9 December 2023 (UTC)
Hi Fieryninja -
I don't see that the Wiki page on Jen Olive has been published, and there doesn't seem to be a place where I can check its progress. Can you direct me to where I can find the status?
I appreciate your doing that! Is the Sandbox accessible on the app for the phone? I can't seem to find it anywhere. Kms1965 (talk) 01:55, 16 March 2024 (UTC)
Your choice since you were the one who actually rewrote the entire article. Maybe you could possibly add at reception section about his special shot image at Mario tennis aces. Nice work btw. GreenishPickle! (🔔) 11:06, 21 January 2024 (UTC)
Hi Jcpmac you can add content to most pages by clicking the edit button either at the top of an article or in a section. You must always provide a source to support the new content. See WP:CITE. Fieryninja (talk) 08:01, 12 December 2023 (UTC)
Many thanks indeed for your very quick response to my query.
Ah I see that you added a new entry to a disambiguation page. This is a special page type that must include a link to an existing page on Wikipedia, (which demonstrates notability). Without the link to the Wikipedia page, it will be reverted. Fieryninja (talk) 12:18, 12 December 2023 (UTC)
Hi SiriuBlus I've had a quick look at your edit and the citation seems correct, so yes it all looks fine. If any other editors disagree, they will soon let you know. :) Fieryninja (talk) 18:15, 14 December 2023 (UTC)

Question from NobleAimPR (23:26, 28 December 2023)
Hello Fieryninja!
I'm just starting out as a contributor to Wikipedia, and it would be great if I could get some pointers and advice on editing, creating, adding sources, etc. Thank you for being my mentor!
Hey NobleAimPR welcome to Wikipedia! You can get started easily by clicking the edit button at the top of any article - see WP:HEP. You can add or change content on most pages as long as you add citations to support your changes - see WP:CITE. I recommend that you start with a page that interests you or that you have some knowledge about and avoid making big bold edits until you get to know how Wikipedia editors work. If you have any specific questions along the way, feel free to msg me anytime! Fieryninja (talk) 23:43, 28 December 2023 (UTC)

Hi T4kapa1425 you should be able to submit your article for review using the blue button at the top of your sandbox. After you submit it, an experienced editor will review it and decided if it is suitable for publication. I did notice that you haven't yet added any citations to your article. You will need to read WP:CITE to understand how to do this for your article to be published. Fieryninja (talk) 08:50, 17 January 2024 (UTC)
Gracewith you can start an article by writing it in your sandbox and submit it using the blue button. If you are writing about a real person, they must meet notability guidelines - see WP:BIO. Happy editing! Fieryninja (talk) 08:03, 30 January 2024 (UTC)

Feel free to contact me with any questions or comments you might have during this period. Message delivered by ChristieBot, on behalf of Begocc -- Begocc (talk) 15:41, 5 February 2024 (UTC)
Question from Leiladallal (17:20, 5 February 2024)
I would like Wikipedia to be fair in representing the Palestinian people for the sake of peace everywhere. From what I have seen Wikipedia is determined to not acknowledge the existence of a Palestinian people, and to me that is hate speech. --Leiladallal (talk) 17:21, 5 February 2024 (UTC)
Hi Leiladallal I don't know what article you are referring to, so perhaps you will get an answer from an editor by raising this on the talk page of the relevant article. Fieryninja (talk) 17:24, 5 February 2024 (UTC)
Question from Sables-Story (20:06, 9 February 2024)
Hello! I'd like to edit out advertisement on the history of MMORPGs. The sentence is "...the option to pay a fee in order to upgrade to a premium account, granting special in-game benefits, including..." with no source. I'd argue paid content is part of MMORPGs and makes sense to include. However linking the game's own website to reference the benefits feels advertising, and I couldn't find other sources. Is it better to remove what the benefits are, keep them but not link the soure, or to link the source? --Wesadius (talk) 23:23, 11 February 2024 (UTC)
Hi Wesadius if the sentence is unsourced then you are ok to remove it. It's best practice to use reliable secondary sources, e.g. a reputable video game news website, rather than a primary source like the game's website, so probably best to avoid that. I noticed there are a lot of citation needed tags on that page, so looks like a lot of content there is unsourced and needs a clean up. Fieryninja (talk) 08:51, 12 February 2024 (UTC)
Hi ImEdgingRN I'm not really sure what you mean, but you can edit most articles if you think they need work. You can search for topics you are interested in using the search bar or click on a random article. Fieryninja (talk) 16:43, 15 February 2024 (UTC)
Hi! I've been trying to create a page about a Victorian botanist who discovered a rare fern which is named after her. My first issue was that I didn't include enough citations (now hopefully fixed!) but I've now been told that it's not notable enough for inclusion. I'm not sure what to do about that because that feels like a matter of perspective - she discovered a new fern hybrid that's named after her - that's amazing! It's more than her husband ever did, who just seemed to get born into a noble family and then die one day. What can I do? The page is: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Louisa_Grace_Fortescue --LetsGetBotanical (talk) 22:01, 15 March 2024 (UTC)
Hello LetsGetBotanical the advice from the reviewer is to add more citations. If there is enough coverage about the subject from reliable published sources then that should establish notability. You should also add each citation inline at the end of the supported text. Then if you find enough sources to support every statement in the article, you can try resubmitting. Fieryninja (talk) 23:20, 15 March 2024 (UTC)
Citation added, but rejected on notability grounds, which is weird when there are loads of even-less useful articles. Does it just come down to personal taste in the end? LetsGetBotanical (talk) 19:44, 16 March 2024 (UTC)
Hi LetsGetBotanical I've had a quick read through the comments from reviewers and they are saying the same thing, which is that there is not enough extensive coverage in the article to demonstrate notability, so it's not about personal preference. You could continue to expand it if you can find other sources. Sometimes articles are deleted due to lack of notability but then are later resurrected if an editor expands it enough. Other poor quality articles exist on Wikipedia, which often end up being nominated for deletion if the consensus shows lack of notability. Fieryninja (talk) 20:13, 16 March 2024 (UTC)
Hello,
I find all conditions for omitting an entry posted initially around 2020 "neutrality of this article is disputed." are met.
Can I delete this text? --LiveXchange (talk) 18:41, 17 March 2024 (UTC)
LiveXchange Possibly ok if it dates back to 2020. It's difficult to say without seeing the article. It's probably worth checking for any related comments on the article's talk page first. Fieryninja (talk) 18:50, 17 March 2024 (UTC)
Hey Greenish Pickle! It's interesting because I was looking at Mario's article history recently and wondering why no one has raised it to GA. I think we can get Peach to Ga nom pretty quickly as it's just a case of getting her sports titles in the appearances. Fieryninja (talk) 06:34, 20 March 2024 (UTC)
Hello, Any idea why my userpage Daryl Hance was speedy deleted..? I am an artist/musician trying to make a wikipedia page for myself. Can you please look at my www.darylhance.com page and advise on how to move forward..? --Daryl Hance (talk) 19:34, 21 March 2024 (UTC)
Hi Daryl Hance a user page is speedily deleted if you use it to promote yourself. You should use your sandbox to write a draft article and submit it using the blue button and then another editor will review it and determine if it is notable to be included on Wikipedia. Hi! I saw that you've removed the Buzzworthy Tattoo site as a reference from a bunch of tattoo articles, after @Cnyssen edited some of them. I have no affiliation with this website or author, and I find it an adequately reliable source for non-controversial claims about tattoo history (not about living people). Considering the criteria at Wikipedia:RSSELF: even though this is a self-published website, Nyssen is a published expert on the topic. Just as a quick example, see references to her work in these articles and this one. So I would like to restore some of those references.
I totally get what you're trying to do with discouraging self-linking, but I would also consider WP:DONTBITE: many Wikipedia articles about tattooing and tattoo history need a ton of work, so I hope for us to welcome people and provide tips about constructive editing without self-promotion, rather than discouraging contributions of people who have a lot of expertise. Thank you! Dreamyshade (talk) 15:19, 23 March 2024 (UTC)
