Kautilya3; Bulldozers and the Supertech demolition!!![1] I can't find any references that have connected the recent usage of bulldozers to the upcoming Supertech demolition - that only the poor are targeted? That will for sure be a photo event if it eventually takes place. Maybe another Wikipedia editor located close to the structure could be identified.

Currently the article "Bulldozer politics" has nothing concrete about the legal aspects of all this, legalities of demolition drives in general, and how structures of criminals were legally being demolished not because they were criminals, but due to illegal property matters (where do they stay now?)....on another note, recently the CAG pulled up Bihar for the use of machines in MG-NREGA since it goes against the right to work.[6] Extending this to bulldozer politics, instead of bulldozers, workers could be hired to destroy stuff using tools. So many working days generated?! (light banter Template:FBDB)

I can't find one that explains the removal in question, and I'm a little surprised that you expect me to spend time digging for it. Please provide the diff to where you explain it very nicely. It has already been restored; what I wanted to know was why you made it. Considering the dance you're leading me, I can only assume you didn't have a good reason. Any more unexplained removals of sourced content and I'll consider blocking you. If you're too tired to answer a reasonable request for a diff, while sending me to dig amongst 28 of them, have you considered how tiring that is for the person you're talking to? The second round of the 2022 WikiCup has now finished. It was a high-scoring round and contestants needed 115 points to advance to round 3. There were some very impressive efforts in round 2, with the top seven contestants all scoring more than 500 points. A large number of the points came from the 11 featured articles and the 79 good articles achieved in total by contestants.

The rules for featured and good article reviews require the review to be of sufficient length; brief quick fails and very short reviews will generally not be awarded points. I saw your email about creating/adding a map to the Barahoti article and whether it fell under the topic-ban. Since the region is disputed between India and China (thanks for including that information in the email!), I would regard it to fall under "Indian politics broadly construed". Other maps which don't have such issues, and are otherwise unrelated to politics, controversies etc, should be okay for you to edit but if in any doubt, ask, since we want to avoid any triggers or (even inadvertent) violations. TB, I don't question DTM's contributions or capabilities in this area. However, given recent events, I think that it would be unwise for them to edit in areas of controversy where discussions can become messy, to put it mildly (see eg, 1, 2 and 3. all related to a proposed map of another disputed region). Also, in my experience, it helps to have clearer boundaries since once discussion starts, it can be difficult/counterproductive for admins to dictate how, when, and where an editor can respond (for example, speaking hypothetically, if someone were to object to some aspect of a Barahoti map DTM created, would DTM be allowed to defend their version with sources and arguments? Either we will be letting only one side of the debate to be aired; effectively undoing the topic-ban; or, setting up DTM to be baited into a block).
So, at the moment, I am reluctant to have carve-outs from the topic-ban. IMO it would be better if DTM edits in less stressful areas for say 6-months, and then, if they wish and feel up to it, ask for the topic-ban to be lifted altogether. Abecedare (talk) 22:22, 9 May 2022 (UTC)

I want to archive all the sections on my talk page, usually wrapping up individual sections as needed before the archive. With respect to this section, I had never checked what happened to this draft page after my initial edit. (Communication issues on my side or whatever you call it.) With the intention of deleting this I requested a CSD just now. Very minor panic- I opened WP:TBAN and read it for the first time. I undid the CSD. For the first time I realized that someone else had made edits to this page. :P anyway,
C) If not the talk page, is it enough to just mention the topic ban on my userpage or is even that not necessary? (I understand that if I want to personally place it there that is another matter)
(A) Yes, you are free to archive your talkpage (including the sections related to the block and topic-ban) as you see fit.
(B) The Wikipedia:Editing restrictions is effectively defunct so the topic-ban is only logged in your talkpage history, in your block-log (by reference), and in the memory of some users (most importantly, yours!). Yes, this reliance on individual memory is a systemic deficiency in wikipedia practices but I am not too concerned in this particular case because, (a) I AGF that you'll abide with the restriction, and (b) given how contentious this topic-area is, if you step over the line, you and I both know that someone will surely rush to report it.
(C) You are welcome to mention the topic-ban on your user/talkpage, and it may even be a good idea to do so, but it is not a requirement.

Doug Weller, I was looking at it from the point of view that Speech First was part of court cases relevant to the article topic. I wanted to convey what the courts thought of the cases related to bias response teams rather than what Speech First was doing. Considering the way I presented this in the corresponding section I do notice the error in this logic. However, I think the reaction may have been a tad strong. It is the bullet, the kinetic energy, the impact of the projectile on the body, it is the health issues behind the pull of a trigger is arguably the most interesting line, I have read in any article on Wikipedia in the last couple of decades as a reader and then, editor. Abecedare, Bishonen, I don't think there is any reason for accusations such as this, including language used above in #Competency. How am I suppose to deal with this? I think I interpret and paraphrase sources adequately. It may not be 100% or Nobel laureate quality or even up to the mark of the best Wikipedia editors, but I think I maintain a reasonably good standard as per Wikipedia policies and guidelines. I take part in GA, FL, DYK etc where there is interaction with other editors so it isn't as if I am editing in a black hole? Yes my ability to interpret and paraphrase may vary from topic to topic, but going by my past editing, I think the topics I have chosen so far have been reasonable including the response to it. Admins/Sysops, one approach I follow with some articles is to have the structure in place before going deeper into GA+ quality paraphrasing. I don't work in a linear manner. I think this approach has worked out alright with the GA articles I have worked on. Thank you for giving the above a short version, - very helpful when returning. I remember that I was surprised that no 25 DYK medal was flying my way when it happened. All DYK is slow an manual. To achieve a 50 DYK medal, you will first have to update Wikipedia:List of Wikipedians by number of DYKs which has you as DTM and with 39. Perhaps make a note where the archive is - a red link at present - of the name change. The section Kapellmeister#Contemporary_usage has a line on this, "An opera company may have several Kapellmeister, ranked as Erste Kapellmeister (First...), Zweite Kapellmeister (Second...), etc.". This line isn't cited, nor referenced to Christian Thielemann's book. "Erste Kapellmeister" is just used at one other place on the English Wikipedia.

I don't see why not. Of course there are topics in military history that overlap with Indian politics (for example, articles related to Indo-Pak wars, or even older wars that have contemporary political import), which you would need to recuse from, but the TBAN doesn't forbid you from otherwise participating in the MilHilst project. It is good you wrote "year round" and not "every day" or "every morning and evening". Breath in, hold om ॐ, hold independence, breathe out.
