Although the Ministry of Finance government page supports a large amount of the information, I believed the article could use additional sources. I also tagged the article because although several of the sources confirm his birth as 1948, they never mention January 1 as the exact birth date. SigmaLiveI wasn't the deletion nominator -- all I did was tag the article as being uncategorized (a routine maintenance task), and I haven't expressed an opinion in the deletion debate at all, so I'm not really the person you should be raising this issue with. However, I can offer some insight nonetheless: Alexa does not count as a reliable source for the purposes of our notability rules. For one thing, Alexa rankings can be intentionally skewed by Googlebombing, so they don't necessarily attest to how widely viewed a website actually is -- and for another, Alexa doesn't actually publish content about a website by which we can verify the accuracy of the information in the article; it just publishes statistics. So if it's the only independent source in an article, then that simply isn't good enough on its own. Reliable sources on Wikipedia are media (newspapers, magazines, radio/television broadcasts, books, etc.) writing or publishing or broadcasting content about the topic, not just directory or statistical analysis pages which happen to list it. It also helps to understand that "notability" is not a judgement on the topic itself, but rather on the quality of the article as written -- it is quite possible (very easy, in fact) to write a bad, deletable article about a "notable" topic. If the article does get deleted, further, that does not mean that that SigmaLive can never have an article; it just means that this version of the article isn't meeting our rules. Basically, instead of complaining to other editors about the nomination, you should actually use your time to track down and add better sources to improve the article, so that it (or a future repost, if it does get deleted now) has a better chance of surviving. Hope that helps a bit. Bearcat (talk) 15:26, 30 October 2012 (UTC) Disambiguation link notification for November 22Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. A tag has been placed on Cyprus Wine Routes requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://web.archive.org/web/20160209082707/http://chooseyourcyprus.com/en/discover-cyprus/wine-routes.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here. If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay.
