User talk:Ellin Beltz/Archive 2Welcome back?I have seen you around a bit. I hope you are back. I raise an eyebrow at some of what I see going on around here and wonder, but then I look at the Carson Mansion article I created a ways back and see that it gets viewed something like an average of over 100 times a day...that is over 9,000 times a quarter! It needs a lot more work to be anything like the quality of the Seth Kinman article, for example. But, hopefully, I will get to it one of these days. :-) Norcalal (talk) 22:34, 31 May 2012 (UTC) Thanks for your replyWow! That was a great answer Elin. I really appreciated it , thanks. I will write more later. (Benbullen) , 31 May 2012 (UTC) Thank You!I appreciate the warm welcome and the reference to materials in how to get started. Thank you for engaging me and giving me an opportunity to try out a talk page and tilda signatures. I appreciate the contributions you've made to the Loleta pages, you've really improved the content over the past year. Thanks again. Specialjake (talk) 05:30, 15 June 2012 (UTC) Disambiguation link notification for August 22Hi. When you recently edited Sally Tanner, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Republican, Harvey Johnson and Adlai Stevenson (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject. Go toCalifornia Historical Landmarks in Humboldt County, California and click the "upload here" button by the site you want to upload a photo of. I'll add {{Wiki Loves Monuments 2012|us}} to the cross picture, which should do pretty much the same thing. Eureka! Eureka...Hi Ellin. Of course, you make complete sense. It is such a pleasure to take constructive criticism from you (I genuinely mean that, btw)...I am always delighted to see your work around...and even in the article (Eureka, Calfornia) that I have worked the hardest on since I began here in 2006, I believe. Its important to me for sentimental reasons so its all the more important that I am careful to watch for bias like any good historian or sociologist. Though the statement I made in the lead section is true regarding Eureka's size in the lower 48(on the entire Pacific Coast), you are absolutely correct that we must cite it for it to stay, or we will just have trouble (as has been the case from time to time with that very statement!). I keep thinking I will have that time I keep intending for more in-depth research on these "little" things and, also, for the creation of daughter articles, for example, which would lead to better sub-sections for the history portion of the article (not only for Eureka, but also for Humboldt County, and, perhaps, Arcata). Merry Christmas![]() Smallbones(smalltalk) 00:58, 20 December 2012 (UTC) Table separator.Hi Ellin. I've had a look at the table on List of massacres in the United States and don't see a missing separator. Between Aurora and Columbine (as you mentioned) looks the same to me in the article and in the editing window as for the others. Perhaps it's a browser issue. Have you tried others or changed your zoom level in case something pops up? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jack of Many (talk • contribs) 12:13, 29 December 2012 (UTC) |
