New Years new page backlog drive
Hello Edwardx, thank you for your efforts reviewing new pages!
Announcing the NPP New Year Backlog Drive! We have done amazing work so far in December to reduce the New Pages Feed backlog by over 3000 articles! Now is the time to capitalise on our momentum and help eliminate the backlog! The backlog drive will begin on January 1st and run until January 29th. Prize tiers and other info can be found HERE. Awards will be given in tiers in two categories:
NOTE: It is extremely important that we focus on quality reviewing. Despite our goal of reducing the backlog as much as possible, please do not rush while reviewing. If you wish to opt-out of future mailings, go here. — TonyBallioni (talk) 20:24, 30 December 2017 (UTC) Speedy deletion nomination of Margaret Cooper (cryptologist)
A tag has been placed on Margaret Cooper (cryptologist) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, a group of people, an individual animal, an organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content, or an organized event, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable. If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Alison DunlopThank you for your intervention. There is reference to Dunlop in the Dictionary of Scottish Painters by Julian Halsby and Paul Harris - https://books.google.co.uk/books?id=02IYSwAACAAJ&dq=dictionary+of+scottish+painters&hl=en&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiC8eK258_YAhUHmbQKHUyxBN0Q6AEIJzAA Arts administration in Scotland is very poorly referenced generally. The subject of the article is notable for her large influence and many positions held and innovation in that field, as well as for her art. She co-founded ESSA which as an umbrella organization has provided financial support for three of the four major painters' organisations in Scotland (which might not have survived in their present form without that support). ESSA deserves a WIKI article in its own right, as does the Scottish Arts Club, of which she was Arts Convenor for many years. The purpose of the article is to help build that history of those arts organisations West Art (talk) 11:41, 11 January 2018 (UTC)

Some adviceHi. I'm not one for having a go at other editors so please don't take this the wrong way, but I think you should give WP:G11 another read. The wording of the policy is that articles have to be exclusively promotional to qualify for G11. I've declined a few G11 nominations of yours on notable subjects that just need a bit of a copyedit.
