Amitabh Chaudhry - edited again properly.

Hi, I have edited his profile again. I am enjoying and learning Wikipedia. Hope this time I got it right. There is no promotion whatsoever. Please look into it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Hitesh2617 (talkcontribs) 11:07, 12 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

University of Cambodia

Hi I would like to kindly ask why you keep marking the university of Cambodia’s page as an advertisement. I have written it objectively and used a neutral tone (or strived to). Can you please let me know why you keep marking it as such? Thank you! TravisM416 (talk) 12:11, 3 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you, TravisM416. I have copied your comment to Talk:University of Cambodia and replied there, as it will make it easier for anyone else who might like to comment. Edwardx (talk) 17:16, 3 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

COI issues? I have none?? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kramarquez (talkcontribs) 13:19, 11 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you Kramarquez. I have just started Wikipedia:Conflict_of_interest/Noticeboard#University_of_Cambodia, which you should read. Edwardx (talk) 13:36, 11 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Why would I have an alternate account? I have always made all my edits public under my username. I have no idea who the other account is. I also do not have a conflict of interest which is why I did not respond to the question as it didn’t relate to the situation. I’m trying to clean up this article and have the text be appropriate. I’ve deleted over half of it and would honestly like it to be done, so can you kindly point to the paragraph that is giving you trouble? Instead of just saying it’s excessive, I would greatly appreciate something concrete. Thank you — Preceding unsigned comment added by TravisM416 (talkcontribs) 13:41, 11 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you, TravisM416. You need to respond to all of those issues at Talk:University of Cambodia, Wikipedia:Conflict_of_interest/Noticeboard#University_of_Cambodia and User talk:TravisM416, as appropriate. Edwardx (talk) 14:02, 11 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Edwardx Thank you for your information. I have responded in the other places. Hope this helps clear things up! :) — Preceding unsigned comment added by TravisM416 (talkcontribs) 02:40, 12 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you again, TravisM416. Are you not employed by the University of Cambodia? You should declare your conflict of interest. Edwardx (talk) 10:07, 12 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Edwardx Hi I'm really not sure why you just keep pointing out that it's written like an advertisement and it's too excessive, but then you won't tell me which parts. I really would love to solve it and I want you to be happy with it as well. Instead, you won't give me any specific information so it's quite confusing. Please let me know what exactly I can do so you dont have to hear from me anymore :) Thank you! — Preceding unsigned comment added by TravisM416 (talkcontribs) 10:50, 12 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Edwardx And now I have the same question about Kao Kim Hourn's page. It's very neutral and sticks to the facts with sources. Can you kindly tell me which lines are promotional so that I can rectify it? Thank you — Preceding unsigned comment added by TravisM416 (talkcontribs) 10:56, 12 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Edwardx Hi, so I have edited the page drastically and tried to comply with everything. I thought I had removed any bit of excessive information or promotional material, and then I waited for anyone to comment on the page for several days or add to the discussion. Can you please tell me why you put back on the tags so I can fix it? Thank you — Preceding unsigned comment added by 110.235.247.161 (talk) 12:07, 17 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

New Page Review newsletter July-August 2019

Hello Edwardx,

WMF at work on NPP Improvements

More new features are being added to the feed, including the important red alert for previously deleted pages. This will only work if it is selected in your filters. Best is to 'select all'. Do take a moment to check out all the new features if you have not already done so. If anything is not working as it should, please let us know at NPR. There is now also a live queue of AfC submissions in the New Pages Feed. Feel free to review AfCs, but bear in mind that NPP is an official process and policy and is more important.

QUALITY of REVIEWING

Articles are still not always being checked thoroughly enough. If you are not sure what to do, leave the article for a more experienced reviewer. Please be on the alert for any incongruities in patrolling and help your colleagues where possible; report patrollers and autopatrolled article creators who are ostensibly undeclared paid editors. The displayed ORES alerts offer a greater 'at-a-glance' overview, but the new challenges in detecting unwanted new content and sub-standard reviewing do not necessarily make patrolling any easier, nevertheless the work may have a renewed interest factor of a different kind. A vibrant community of reviewers is always ready to help at NPR.

Backlog

The backlog is still far too high at between 7,000 and 8,000. Of around 700 user rights holders, 80% of the reviewing is being done by just TWO users. In the light of more and more subtle advertising and undeclared paid editing, New Page Reviewing is becoming more critical than ever.

Move to draft

NPR is triage, it is not a clean up clinic. This move feature is not limited to bios so you may have to slightly re-edit the text in the template before you save the move. Anything that is not fit for mainspace but which might have some promise can be draftified - particularly very poor English and machine and other low quality translations.

Notifying users

Remember to use the message feature if you are just tagging an article for maintenance rather than deletion. Otherwise articles are likely to remain perma-tagged. Many creators are SPA and have no intention of returning to Wikipedia. Use the feature too for leaving a friendly note note for the author of a first article you found well made or interesting. Many have told us they find such comments particularly welcoming and encouraging.

PERM

Admins are now taking advantage of the new time-limited user rights feature. If you have recently been accorded NPR, do check your user rights to see if this affects you. Depending on your user account preferences, you may receive automated notifications of your rights changes. Requests for permissions are not mini-RfAs. Helpful comments are welcome if absolutely necessary, but the bot does a lot of the work and the final decision is reserved for admins who do thorough research anyway.

Other news

School and academic holidays will begin soon in various places around the Western world. Be on the lookout for the usual increase in hoax, attack, and other junk pages.

Our next newsletter might be announcing details of a possible election for co-ordinators of NPR. If you think you have what it takes to micro manage NPR, take a look at New Page Review Coordinators - it's a job that requires a lot of time and dedication.

A tag has been placed on Michael Corder requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Regarding RCB Bank page content

Dear Edwardx, I am contacting you with regards to the content published at RCB Bank's page. Some information there is inaccurate. I have been trying to amend it, but all changes have been removed despite the fact that I have provided trusted references. I appreciate if together we correct the factual information to improve the content. For example, it is stated that "As of 2018, VTB through its holdings and subsidiaries is the largest shareholder in RCB and continues to fund and guarantee most of RCB Bank's loans". In fact, VTB is not the largest shareholder of RCB Bank since August 23, 2017. https://cyprus-mail.com/2017/08/25/russias-otkritie-sells-rcb-bank-stake/

Suggested paragraph on the bank’s shareholding structure: In August 2017, the Bank’s management increased ownership of RCB to 49.9% by acquiring a $100 million stake (19.85%) in the Russian Otkritie Financial Corporation Bank. Following the acquisition, Crendaro Investments Limited, via which the Bank’s management own their shares, became RCB Bank’s largest shareholder. The rest 3.81% stake is held by Mitarva Limited. https://www.ft.com/content/25e88d88-88bf-11e7-8bb1-5ba57d47eff7 http://www.rcbcy.com/en/about-rcb/corporate-governance/shareholders/

I appreciate your cooperation. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Be2u (talkcontribs) 16:52, 12 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
