--Gerda Arendt (talk) 07:17, 22 August 2020 (UTC) And what 4 years it has been, even the social changes from our last communication is frightening and bizarre. I hope you are well. A bonus from COVID-19 lockdown is that I have finally signed up to a basic introduction to Opera, and how to "read" the stories through the music. Small steps but getting there. Stay safe. @Gerda Arendt: ArbCom 2020 Elections voter messageA Member of the ChoirHello! Upon reading your principle I was so struck that I wanted to stop by and share another quote of Sagan's I thought you might appreciate: "A central lesson of science is that to understand complex issues (or even simple ones), we must try to free our minds of dogma and to guarantee the freedom to publish, to contradict, and to experiment." Much of what Sagan said can aptly be applied to the ethic of Wikipedia. I wonder what he would have thought of the website if he'd lived to see it? Anyhoo, its always nice to see someone who seems sensible. Please take care. Joe (talk) 09:05, 7 January 2021 (UTC)
