No problem, and I'm not sure why you not being an admin would matter if you are still a trusted member of the community. Non-admins can close RfAs per NOTNOW, and this appeared to be a similar case. Eagles24/7(C)20:02, 4 May 2011 (UTC)
Let's just say he may not be fully aware of the community norms. I got a similar response from Baseball Bugs yesterday when I tried to close a pointless AN/I thread. Guess I'll have to run for adminship if I want to keep closing down threads that have served their purpose. 28bytes (talk) 20:10, 4 May 2011 (UTC)
I've responded to your comments about Mendenhall...would like to hear back from you to discuss why you think the way you do about the issue in more depth. Sleetman (talk) 00:47, 5 May 2011 (UTC)

I took the time to look up those IP address and there locations. They Geolocate to NY, NY and New Paltz, NY. One is a short distance from Woodbury NY. From where one of the 97's IPs were. I am also not going to edit war with user 97 or try to do the he said she said or say that this individual is "vicious" or anything of the sort since this would simply violate civility What I will do is continue on with my editing to paint a realistic and balanced article. I am also collecting evidence to post for later on. 24.239.153.58 (talk) 08:39, 5 May 2011 (UTC)
I'll say it again. I was railroaded. I don't have a history of this while the other user did. My edits create a balance and are typically not about providing public relations. 24.239.153.58 (talk) 19:40, 5 May 2011 (UTC)
I looked at editing style and behavioral evidence in making my decision to block you. The IPs that infiltrated your talk page matched up perfectly to how you edit. The only piece of evidence in your favor was your lack of socking in the past, which did not outweigh the behavioral comparison against you. Eagles24/7(C)19:48, 5 May 2011 (UTC)
Eagles -- 24, just off block, is literally re-making the St. John's page. He refuses to discuss any of his major changes, many of which are factually inaccurate, poorly written, and disingenuous. I ask for your immediate assistance. Thank you. 97.77.103.82 (talk) 22:54, 5 May 2011 (UTC)
Also, 24 said above that one of his sockpuppets used last week was located near "where one of 97's (sic) IPs (sic) were." Magog determined that the IP was not connected to me and removed references to any possible connection. It was likely yet another one of 24's sockpuppets. 97.77.103.82 (talk) 23:01, 5 May 2011 (UTC)
Could you please advise me why you reverted my edit that Bert Bell was not the first person ever inducted into the professional football hall of fame. I provided an incline citation that he was the first person ever inducted into the professional football hall of fame and you deleted it without explaining why or showing who was selected before him. That being said, I have documented on numerous occassion whereby the authors associated with Bert Bell have proven to be wrong. You just need to provide verifiable proof that Bell was not the first, ever, person to be inducted into the NFLPHOF, like I did. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.234.33.8 (talk) 03:18, 8 May 2011 (UTC)
Like I said on the talk page, there were 17 charter members of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, and it is original research to suggest that Bell was the first one to be inducted of that 17. You could say "Bell was in the first enshrinement class for the Professional Football Hall of Fame," but not "Bell was the first person to ever be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame." Sammy Baugh was in that charter class, so even if the members were inducted one by one, Baugh would be first alphabetically, and not Bell. Eagles24/7(C)03:26, 8 May 2011 (UTC)
No. My citation said he was the first inducted, as in first inducted in that class. That being said, those authors screw up all the time and I would want to see an author say "he was the first inducted BECAUSE...blah blah blah" I looked in magazines from that era and there was nothing. So it could have been just dumb luck that he was inducted first. But he was inducted first, as he was the first ever inducted into the PHOF according to my source, unless someone can prove otherwise. 66.234.33.8 (talk) 15:51, 8 May 2011 (UTC)
It's not really worth arguing about unless another source comes in and says "...first BECAUSE blah blah blah ...15:53, 8 May 2011 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.234.33.8 (talk)
"On September 7, 1963, Bert Bell became the first of 17 charter members inducted into the new Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio." Lyons p. 315 173.52.5.48 (talk) 23:06, 8 May 2011 (UTC)
I still think it is very strange and possibly incorrect, but since we have no other source that says otherwise, I say we add it in if you so choose. Eagles24/7(C)00:29, 9 May 2011 (UTC)
Starting position navboxes
E247, you're my administrator hero, but I have to tell you that I hate the NFL starting position succession boxes. WP CFB has labored mightily to purge most, if not all, of the coach, starting position and other minor award/record succession boxes from the coach and player articles. I would hate to see these mutate and start making a comeback. Please contemplate enhanced navboxes for NFL coaches and starting QBs (i.e. with first name and years of service, on the pattern of college coach navboxes), and save the rest for article text if it's noteworthy. The proliferation of sports succession boxes does not need to be encouraged. It only leads to a pile of graphic noise at the bottom of the article pages. Dirtlawyer1 (talk) 20:29, 10 May 2011 (UTC)
Uhhhh . . . not really. It was your spiffy new LLB succession box on the Alonzo Johnson which alerted me to your work. LOL
The problem, as I see it, is that (1) I'm not sure the starting succession for all 24+ positions on a football team is truly notable in and of itself (if it is truly notable, why not a WP list article?), and (2) it's not unusual to have four of five different players start at a given position in any given season, which leads to horribly confusing and not particularly helpful succession boxes. IMHO, succession boxes work best for major office holders, like the U.S. President, where a term of office is measured in years, not games. Also, if predecessor and successor players at a position are really notable in a particular instance (e.g. Steve Young taking over for Joe Montana), shouldn't that be mentioned in the body text of the article? Dirtlawyer1 (talk) 21:05, 10 May 2011 (UTC)
I see what you're saying and I agree, but it's a shame that I added all of those succession boxes for nothing. Eagles24/7(C)21:09, 10 May 2011 (UTC)
Yup. I feel your pain. But look at the bright side: do we have enhanced navboxes for the Eagles' head coaches and starting QB yet? Any of the other NFL teams? If not, that looks like a job opportunity, possibly times 32, plus the defunct NFL franchises. Can you say "Providence Steam Roller?" "Frankford Yellow Jackets?" Dirtlawyer1 (talk) 21:15, 10 May 2011 (UTC)
Ray Graves: Eagles/Steagles center, Gators head coach
E247, I do have an Eagles-related problem with which I could use some help: Ray Graves. Was a Tennessee Volunteer lineman and assistant under Robert Neyland, was an Eagle draft pick in 1942, a "Steagle" in 1943, an Eagle again in 1946, Georgia Tech head defensive assistant under Bobby Dodd in the 1950s, and the Gators' head coach from 1960 to 1969. Most successful head Gator before Spurrier arrived in 1990. If you could spiff up Graves' NFL career text with some of those wonderful Eagles references of yours, I would be grateful. The whole article is ripe for a major upgrade and rewrite, and this could be the first step. Dirtlawyer1 (talk) 21:34, 10 May 2011 (UTC)
I see one problem with the article. This article states that Graves grew up in Rockwood, TN before he moved to Knoxville, so I'm not sure he was definitely born in Knoxville. Eagles24/7(C)21:53, 10 May 2011 (UTC)
Yeah, his NFL player profile says "Rockwood"; Tampa Tribune columnist Tom McEwen's 1974 book about Gators football history says "Inskip"; a 1998 interview for the university's oral history project and a related 2006 book, quoting Graves, says "Knoxville." Very frustrating. I hate conflicting sources; in any other case, I would consider all three reliable. Graves is still alive and lives in Tampa. As a Gator alumnus in good standing, I'm tempted to call him myself and ask him for his birth certificate. Dirtlawyer1 (talk) 22:04, 10 May 2011 (UTC)
I think I'll just ignore his pre-College information for now. If you have his phone number (and if you feel this is important enough to bother him), I would consider calling him. Eagles24/7(C)22:14, 10 May 2011 (UTC)
There aren't any real news articles about Graves as a player, primarily due to the fact that offensive linemen, especially during that time period, didn't get any press. I have expanded the article a bit anyway. Eagles24/7(C)22:53, 10 May 2011 (UTC)
RVV
Did you relaise that "rv" generally means "revert", whereas "rvv" is shorthand for "reverting vandalism"? I noticed your use of the latter at WP:RFA is all and was slightly confused for a moment. HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 23:50, 10 May 2011 (UTC)
Thanks for your note. If the editor has reformed then I'm glad. I have no objection to unblocking him. I could do it, but since you've already gotten involved you might as well. Will Bebacktalk02:43, 13 May 2011 (UTC)
Thanks, I'm watching it now. I think you've said everything I wanted to say, so I'll leave the rest to consensus. Eagles24/7(C)20:49, 16 May 2011 (UTC)
He's asking by email to be unblocked solely to comment at the discussion page. Do you think that would be appropriate? I would be willing to do it. Magog the Ogre (talk) 04:05, 18 May 2011 (UTC)
I don't know what disruptive editing is, but seriously. I'm just doing the best I can. I can't make articles? Get someone to help me work on it. It's not fair that my articles get deleted.
You guys always say stuff that I don't understand. I'm only 12 years old. I'm NOT gonna tolerate any more deleted articles. One more article I see deleted, I'm done with Wikipedia. I don't mean to disrespect, but I really can't deal with anymore deleted articles. It's not fair. Zalchmen (talk) 03:54, 18 May 2011 (UTC)
Thanks again for my edit count before.
Hey there. Thanks for telling me about my edit count. I have a low edit count, so that means that I have a very little chance of being an admin. Now, I have 4,291 edits right now and I think that should be enough for myself to request for being an admin.--Damirgraffiti☺Say Yo to Me!☺ 21:32, 18 May 2011 (UTC)
Well if you still feel you should nominate yourself, you will need to create your RfA and transclude it at WP:RFA by following the instructions at WP:RFA/N. I would still advise against it for now and gain more experience, but it's up to you. Eagles24/7(C)00:51, 20 May 2011 (UTC)
ESPN has Mike Balogun on Dallas listed as #55. I believe it, but I don't know if it can be used as a trusted source. RevanFan (talk) 14:12, 26 May 2011 (UTC)
I would hold off on numbers for now since players can't be assigned numbers during the lockout (as far as I know). Eagles24/7(C)19:04, 26 May 2011 (UTC)
Many of the vets and many of the rookies (obviously drafted after the lockout) have been assigned numbers. Also, when Balogun was signed, the only number available for linebackers was #55, because every 90's number and every other 50's number was gone. RevanFan (talk) 22:40, 26 May 2011 (UTC)
I'm gonna do it. Thanks for the help. Let's hope the lockout ends, and good luck to your Eagles (but my Cowboys had better beat them in the rankings.) RevanFan (talk) 23:45, 26 May 2011 (UTC)
I have a feeling I have asked you about this before, but just to clarify, if I take a screenshot of a program on a computer, does it still fall under copyright stuff? --Skamecrazy123 (talk) 00:18, 29 May 2011 (UTC)
Tiki Barber
Should he be added to the Giants' roster since he has filed his un-retirement papers, and if so, where on the template should he be added? RevanFan (talk) 05:04, 29 May 2011 (UTC)
Thanks for setting the time stamp on the template. I was trying to carefully follow the instructions, and was removing it when I got an edit conflict from where you had already done so. Thank you! jsfouche ☽☾Talk16:30, 30 May 2011 (UTC)
I saw the message you left on my talk page and I have been on Wikipedia for a while and have contributed as you can see on my User Contributions page and I think I would make a good admin and will do well at it, but if you think I really shouldn't I won't and will contribute more then reapply.
Okay maybe I'm new and those warnings are recent like the last day or two, but as you suggested I won't run for adminship at this time, so please delete/lock my adminship topic.
