Hello DeskfordJubileeclipman/new me here... Where the bloody hell is everyone??? I go away for a few years and no-ones around!!! It's "like a ghost town (bands don't play here any more...)"! — Iadmc♫talk 14:43, 17 August 2017 (UTC)
Edzell WoodsHey, I'm new to actively editing Wikipedia so thought would send you a message through your talk page to get used to using this! Just wanted to clarify regarding Edzell Woods. For address/postcode & MSP it's Angus but services & MP it's Aberdeenshire (although services from council are minimal at best!). It's a borderline village so doesn't neatly fit into one place - for that reason I tried to add as much info/links as possible to the page. Please let me know if it's done better in a different way! Electronic musicThanks for joining in on the annoying edits to the Electronic music article. If you have not already noticed for yourself, the editor involved is certainly trolling for a block, with dozens of nonconstructive edits either invoking very flaky "sources", or inserting his own unsourced opinion contrary to cited reliable sources.—Jerome Kohl (talk) 22:54, 8 July 2018 (UTC) ConsensusConsensus? Dmitri ShostakovichHello. I really don't understand why many composers don't have an infobox! Regards. --Io Herodotus (talk) 16:12, 5 August 2018 (UTC)
ArbCom 2018 election voter messageHello, Deskford. Voting in the 2018 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 3 December. All users who registered an account before Sunday, 28 October 2018, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Thursday, 1 November 2018 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate in the 2018 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:42, 19 November 2018 (UTC) Island namesI have started a discussion at Wikipedia talk:Article titles#Tautological/names that the subject isn't for island names and have also created User:Crouch, Swale/Island names#Scotland. There's in interesting explanation here that it was the OS that introduced the name "Insh Island". For User:Crouch, Swale/Risga do you have a source for what that name means? although that is just "Risga" on OS? Crouch, Swale (talk) 21:24, 21 November 2018 (UTC)
