Here is the 50th edition. I can only apologise this is so late as a lot of work came up but it is still no excuse so again I will apologise. Inside includes everything since the last edition as usual. Enjoy. Simply south......fighting ovens for just 7 years23:10, 6 September 2013 (UTC)

Hiya, Sorry I thought you were disruptively editing,
Haha well you'll get used to it eventually :) -Just make minor edits & build up & understand aspects of WP & you'll be fine :)
Afternoon there!
Just wanted to clarify the decision to remove the First Glasgow Route List. I reference two articles that contain similar information and whether in this instance whether this has been a fair decision List of bus routes in London, Services of Lothian Buses or whether the decision should have been to make a separate article (First Glasgow routes or Bus routes of Glasgow) rather than removing the information all together.
The list falls under WP:NOTDIR, and It's assumed people will look at operators website not WP, If the list was to be WP:Prosed then It could saved,
Each bus route on List of bus routes in London has its own article due to the historical value, so the list is considered notable, On First Glasgow not 1 route has got its own article so the list altogether isn't notable,

I will also happily accept requests for the gallery (if not, images will be selected from archives elsewhere). Again I will also remind people that if they ever want to try doing a future month's issue, feel free to with your own style etc or even just stick to the current format. Don't hesitate to contact me for the resources of things to include in this newsletter. Otherwise, enjoy! Simply south......cooking letters for just 7 years01:10, 7 October 2013 (UTC)
Glasgow Citybus
Noticed you have nominated Glasgow Citybus for deletion on the basis of being not notable. While I am all for getting rid of articles about insignificant 3 bus operators, this is one that once the September sale is confirmed, will be a circa 40 route, 80 bus operation that has made 3 significant acquisitions.
Granted it hasn't had much activity that is encyclopedic, but the same can be levelled at many of the smaller operator bus articles. The only difference between Glasgow Citybus and for example Nu-Venture, is that 90% of the latter is uncited talk on route changes, the encyclopedic value of which is debatable. Take this out and there are a couple of lines.
I know you are into deleting in a big way, each to their own, but can you please think about the bigger picture. What if Glasgow Citybus makes another acquisition and becomes a bigger player, once deleted, its gone.
That's actually a very good point, I've actually wanted to remove some of the route changes there but It's knowing what & what not to delete,
What If GC doesn't make another acquisition?, I'f im honest I think we both maybe agree on the article should go but then again we have articles like Nu-V & others which are barely notable ..... Plus I think you have more faith in GC then me lol,
How you twisted my arm is beyond me, anyway I've withdrawn,
BTW I wanted to apologize for reverting on Arriva K&S - was rather pointless!,
No dramas, we all get a bit defensive at times, I've certainly been guilty of it. But we both agree there is a fair bit of 'fluff' in some of the articles, I am often in 2 minds as to what to keep and what to kill, see no encyclopedic value in minor timetable changes or immaterial fleet movements.
Sometimes I question the value of an article, but take the view that if it is going to exist it should be as informative as possible. But when an article appears on some 2 bus school operator who started up last week, then out she goes.
Informative is the key I think, Nothing worse then having lists of every little pointless detail
If i'm honest It should've been kept but me & him have had differences in the past so I tend to keep away (most of the time!), Perhaps 30 is the best option...

I stumbled across the change to Rochester almost by accident (it wasn't on my watchlist before). I happened to be watching Pointless and they had a question about UK cities and I thought "I wonder if Rochester has sorted itself out yet?" Lo and behold someone had made the change just yesterday! In all seriousness though, thanks again. Always nice to be acknowledged for doing things around here as it can feel a bit thankless sometimes.... danno_uk21:25, 23 October 2013 (UTC)
Oh right :), Well as far as I'm aware, After Medway hopelessly failed last year, Rochester's still a former city :)
You're welcome - Despite it being on my watchlist I failed to spot it so IMO you deserved it :),

Davey, I'm not here for any wiki-politics, just a content question. What were you meaning in your revert summary here to Trent Barton taking out the image of a standard liveried bus and putting back the image of one specially branded for a specific service. You said "Please look at vehicles/liveries before adding them again". I do not understand what this is meaning; I think that the corporate livery is more appropriate for a lead image so as not to make readers think that all the buses are decorated so. It would be like putting a picture of a Magic Bus in the lead of Stagecoach Manchester. I would appreciate it if you would justify your actions and explain why you felt the revert was necessary. I've come straight to discussion instead of re-reverting, so please return the favour and civilly (yet thoroughly) clarify. Regards, Rcsprinter(whisper) @ 00:17, 8 November 2013 (UTC)
Damnit sorry I assumed the infobox image was the corporate livery, For once we both agree - My edit was rather stupid there! I shall revert,
Please look at vehicles/liveries before adding them again - I basically meant try & not have the same livery images repeated ..
Is Gillingham FC really appropriate as a "see also" to Rochester and Strood? Clearly the club needs to be mentioned and linked from Gillingham, and possibly from Medway, but it has no more relevance to Strood than Kent Cricket Club or the British Lions. I haven't reverted you, but perhaps you might care to have a second thought? Thanks, Martin of Sheffield (talk) 23:25, 11 November 2013 (UTC)
I only included it as it's in Medway, Although like yourself I did question whether adding it to the rest was appropriate but as I said it being in Medway I decided on adding it,
I'll remove it :)
(It's fine I wondered why I had 9 emails stating Martin of Sheffield left you a message on Wikipedia lol)

There's nothing sneaky about it, If they're not new here I fail to see the point in keeping it?, But I just like to keep it tidy really Anyway an edit summary is always written but seems today oddly it wasnt so apologies for that.
Aha, I get where the misunderstanding occurred! I wasn't calling you a tool – when I said "that tool" I was referring to Twinkle. Most experienced users never remove messages from their talk pages unless they're blatant vandalism. Graham8714:39, 26 November 2013 (UTC)
Haha oh ..... In that case sorry for the warning, will remove in a couple of secs :),
In reality I'm a very unorganised person so I see this as "Least I'm organized at something!"

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. Hello - I have opened an RfC about suggested guidelines in the Manual of Style for articles about living members of families whose ancestors were deposed as monarchs of various countries and the titles and "styles" attributed to these living people, at the moment often in a misleading and inaccurate way in my opinion. Please join in the discussion at Wikipedia talk:Manual of Style/Biographies "Use of royal "Titles and styles" and honorific prefixes in articles and templates referring to pretenders to abolished royal titles and their families"[1]Regards,Smeat75 (talk) 07:02, 27 November 2013 (UTC)

I've started a discussion re your removal of geoboxes from various Kent location articles at WT:UKGEO#Geoboxes. You are welcome to comment there. I reverted one removal, but will not revert any more until the issue has been discussed. I fully appreciate that you removed these in good faith, given your edit summaries. If an operator only operates in one city, and the street is well known then there is no need to include the city. As Melbourne Bus Link only operates in Melbourne and Flinders Street is one of the major streets in the Melbourne City Centre, best to display as Flinders Street. In much the same way as an image in London would have Piccadilly Circus not Piccadilly Circus, London or Oxford Street not Oxford Street, London.
