I rarely see people with more than one Humanitarian Service Medal (although I'm used to mostly seeing it on Navy personnel, that's probably why). Such a decorated Armed Forces Reserve Medal too! My grandfather was a WO in the CG for many years, he just had pretty standard decorations though and never deployed overseas. Thornfield Hall (talk) 08:52, 23 March 2023 (UTC)

SPARSI'm beginging to find that getting SPARS up to speed for A-Class is more work than I had expected, but we are making progress - albeit slow progress. Of concern to me is one source in particular, which is: "A Preliminary Survey of the Development of the Women's Reserve of the United States Coast Guard" (PDF). U.S. Coast Guard Historical Section - Washington, D.C. April 1946. Retrieved 8 January 2013.
@Cuprum17: As always, thank you for your help and kind words. I probably don't need to download it but I do need to retrieve the URL for citation references. At 98 I'm still doing well; I'm slowing down a bit but my marbles are still hanging around. I hope you and your family are well and thriving. Again, thank you! Pendright (talk) 22:00, 25 August 2023 (UTC) @Cuprum17: At long last, I've finished revamping the SPARS article enough that it's now, hopefully, a valid A-Class candidate. I plan to have it copy edited by the Guild of Copy Editors before nominating it for A-Class. Meanwhile, could you cast your eagle-eye over it beforehand. Regards!
