Removing fixed typos

The missing space on Pambos Christodoulou

Hi,

I hope you don't mind me writing to you, but I saw on the current page for typo team/moss that you couldn't find the entry (a missing space after a period) in the text. I used to have this problem to. The trick with this specific problem is that references aren't "seen" by the code, but the search function does. This was the case on this specific page, and the only workaround I've found so far is to just look for one of the words and then add a space after the reference once I've found the problem.

Anyways, yes, I think it takes a few searches before you're able to find the specific entry that was misspelled in the article. Hi CodeMyGame Wiki,

I'm sorry for not explaining well. I'm absolutely no computer person, so I don't really know how the code works and all, so this is just what I noticed, but the code from moss only looks at the standard characters. So things like upper script or 'ß', 'ä' don't show up, resulting in the found words turning up 'weird'/ cut off. The same happens when a reference is in the middle of a result (usually missing spaces after periods). The result on the moss page doesn't indicate whether the missing space is truly because there is no space after the period or whether the reference actually is missing one at the end, so this is something you need to find out for yourself. In the search function for each page the references aren't just 'omitted' like on moss, so just Ctrl+F or whatever yields no results. I hope all that makes sense, and again, I have no clue how it all actually works, it's just how I explain it to myself. Also have a look at the version history of that page and my edit, I think that might explain better than I can for the type of error I'm talking about :) Strickesel (talk) 06:34, 9 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I thought someone had removed the typo, but I couldn't find it in the version history (I didn't explain this well in the note on the moss page). But thanks again for showing me the way you use! Thanks so much Strickesel! In practice, a lot of the typos in TS+DOT+ and TS+COMMA+ are due to citations/hyperlinks that are improperly misplaced, and searching simply for the words without the special characters yields no results. CodeMyGame Wiki (talk) 17:36, 10 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Moss typo bullet point removal

Someone else already posted about this on here but your mistake of leaving the bullet points there after you fix the typo (or leaving them with a comment) seems to also be present for the TS/DOT section on the S page... (Btw it's cool that you're going beyond the bare minimum and also fixing or flagging style problems as well as the typos, but it's probably better to flag them by dropping templates about POV or CN or whatever on the page in question rather than by putting a comment on the moss page bullet point; the dot points are there only to indicate the presence of typos) Voidify (talk) 05:11, 4 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
