Aircraft redirects

Hi CFA! I've just noticed an anon making multiple requests to redirect redlinked aircraft articles, usually on the grounds that they don't think they are significant for some reason. None of the reasons they've provided are reasons why we wouldn't have an article about the aircraft they've targeted (Reliable Sources about aircraft cover all kinds of obscure aircraft, including ones that were never finished.) Redirecting these to the manufacturer of the project is usually pointless, because the manufacturer article won't actually help a reader understand what (for example) the Kawasaki Ki-119 was. It also makes it harder for those of us working on our aviation coverage to spot what we've missed. I'm not sure what's motivating them, but it feels a lot like someone being pointy. --Rlandmann (talk) 10:55, 30 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
