Edit of Dark Matter TV series page

My edit of 'is' to 'was', is due to currency. It's not a currently aired TV show. I came to wiki first to see if it was still aired, and reading 'is' right off the top lead me to believe it was still aired, I closed the page thinking I missed something or couldn't find it through Syfy. Kora disamb page

Hi, you have been removing entries from the Kora disamb page. However
(1) Many places in India have changed their English names from old "British Empire" spellings to new spellings that are more consistent with local pronuncation, e.g. Bombay --> Mumbay. The Koda/Kora case is one such pair. The disamb entry "Koda" should have said "formerly spelled 'Kora'" ro vice-versa; I just missed it.
(2) I have read the WP style guids section that you referenced and I don't see why it applies to the other entries that you deleted. Some multi-word place names are often abbreviated (check "United States", "Britain", "Rio"), and that is explicitly the case of at least one of the towns whose pages I created yesterday. In case of doubt, it is better for the readers to list the entry than omit it.
(And, besides, everything in the WP style guides is only the opinion of some editor like me. You cannot expect that editors will read all the 1,234,567 pages of the style guide, much less that they agree to them...)

@Jorge Stolfi: I see nothing in the partial match articles that demonstrates that they are abbreviated "Kora". Nor do I see how WP:PTM applies here. It states, "Place names are often divided between a specific and generic part: "North Carolina" (where "Carolina" is the specific, and "North" the generic part). ... It is entirely proper to include such place names in disambiguation pages with the specific title" (which I don't particularly agree with, but that's beside the point). None of the entries satisfies the "generic part" requirement. As for Koda, other than Madhu Koda and Koda language, there are no other Indian entries. WP:SURPRISE seems to me to apply here. I still disagree... For one thing, I am assuming that the primary goal of Wikipedia is to be helpful to readers who come to it in search of information. It seems to me that they would be better served if those entries are included, than if they are omitted. Would you be too upset if I add them to the "See also" section?
Besides, while some of those pairs may not fall under the generic+specific case, it is quite possible that others do. Take for example Kora Amanikere, Tumakuru. There are many towns in India called "Xxx Amanikere"; and indeed there is a separate village called simply "Kora", just 1 km north of "Kora Amanikere". Thus "Amanikere" (ಅಮಾನಿಕೆರೆ) seems to be a Kannada adjective (that presumably comes after the noun). I found one Kannada dictionary online that defines it as "(ಯಾವ ಗ್ರಾಮದ ದಾಖಲೆಗೂ ಸೇರದೆ ಇರುವ) ಸರಕಾರದ ವಶದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಕೆರೆ" and Google translates that into something like "government-owned lake[? = ಕೆರೆ, kere] (that is not officially part of the village)".
And, again, the Manual of Style is not an official Wikipedia Foundation document, nor approved or monitored by it. Every rule in there is just the opinion of some editor. Referencing "WP:MOSxxx" may scare novice editors; but it will not convince the old ents that have seen those rules being made, and share Bismarck's opinion about laws and sausages...

Şehzade Halil is a boy , quite unnotable except for the kidnapping and the political consequences. Reworking text on Brian Primack page

Hello, the subject of this page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brian_A._Primack has recently been hired as a dean by the University of Arkansas. I have been asked to update his page and, of course, saw that it has a COI tag on it. I work for the University of Arkansas so I might face similar concerns about conflict of interest. I do not work for the college at which Primack will be serving and do not know him personally. Is there a way for me to bring the existing article back within a neutral point of view? The only questionable content is "Primack is internationally recognized for his expertise in health-related media and technology research." An appearance on the Today show does not prove that. Hello Clarityfiend it’s nice to meet you. I read the note about needing more than a write up in Memphis Flyer. I would like to shed light on the fact that I’ve included more than one reference for media coverage that includes Memphis Flyer, WMC Action News 5 - Memphis, The Jackson Sun, and DeSoto Times-Tribune. Those aforementioned references span across two states and a few of them even have their own Wikipedia page. I’ve checked each hyperlink to the sources provided in the article and they appear to be working properly. Most importantly, in March the article was reviewed and it only required redrafting to the plot, which was previously successfully completed and approved. Moreover, all of the sources were already approved as satisfactory coverage. There are numerous approved film titles in Wikipedia with less media coverage. I’ve been working on this article since March and after several attempts I was elated when I received the update that I only needed to redraft the plot. To receive the update from you which states it was not approved due to more media coverage being needed is disheartening as I was previously informed otherwise. I would appreciate it if you reviewed all of the references to see that they meet the criteria as previous confirmed by your colleagues. Hi, in reply to the decision to not approve the article regarding Walewyn ( Walewijn ) van der Veen ( resident of the Nieuwendijk at the time of his marriage), I would like to add that the courthouse documents from the New Amsterdam cases where he was involved, are used for the study of early American law and history. He was sworn in as Notary Public in 1662-1664. Walewyn was not a famous person but was active in the courts until the British takeover of New Netherlands in 1664. In some of the documents his stepson, Jacobus van der Water's signature is seen. His stepson later became 'auditor 'and mayor of New York.

My apologies, but I’ve been working on this submission since earlier this year; hope I’m not a bother. I’ve done some digging and I’ve found some helpful information that may help in the approval of my submission. Memphis Flyer is indeed an alternative newspaper, however it’s core values are aligned with the demographic for the film and the journalist wrote a favorable article. The Jackson Sun although a smaller newspaper does have a weekly circulation of 118,865, it’s a 150 year old newspaper that is delivered to 13 counties, and is one of western Tennessee's major publications. Although WMC Action News 5 is a Memphis station, it covers four states that includes parts of eastern Arkansas, northern Mississippi, southeastern Missouri, and Tennessee. The station is located in Memphis, but the coverage is broad. Please take into consideration that all of those sources have established Wikipedia pages. IMN is another credible source, which is IMDb approved and has many film reviews listed there. Lastly, I completely understand that you are busy. Inline citations in Round World version of the Silmarillion

The illogicality of your comment at the AfD is breathtaking. You said book is not an inline reference, so it's impossible to tell just what it's good for and to what extent. Whether or not the reference is inline does not make a blind bit of difference. I could easily turn it into inline references by adding ref tags. I could even provide page numbers since the Whittingham source provides them in her references to Tolkien. One can only judge whether or not a source verifies the material by actually reading it. The presence or absence of little blue numbers does not help one little bit. From what I know about the Infobox rules on Wikipedia, the distributor of the movie must remain how it is in the film's country(ries) of origin, not regarding what language it is produced in.
