User talk:Clarityfiend/2019Are you also going to remove Helm Glacier, Helm Peak and Helm Point etc., then, or will the rules be applied selectively to fiction? You have rejected the draft for Marisha Ray's wikipedia article (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Marisha_Ray) last year because it didn't contain enough independent, secondary sources. I (and others) have added a couple of sources since then, and I wanted to ask if you could have a look and tell me if it would probably pass muster now or if it needs more still - I just don't want to risk it being deleted entirely. Thank you! I came to wiki first to see if it was still aired, and reading 'is' right off the top lead me to believe it was still aired, I closed the page thinking I missed something or couldn't find it through Syfy. I had to come back to read it was canceled. I believe 'was' is appropriate and correct. --Panoptican (talk) 05:08, 17 March 2019 (UTC)

Hey! I recently got notification that my draft https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Max_Aken-Tyers was denied. However, I read the guidelines and it says that the NPSL counts as a notable league in the USA. There is also the link https://www.riverhounds.com/news_article/show/918805 that has the player in the US open cup abasing USL Pro side Pittsburgh. Aken-Tyers has been at Erie for numerous years now and has gained a rather good reputation around town with fans. More about the story was here on a local Erie fans podcast https://twitter.com/DavisMattek/status/1012448588411097088 If you could give me more info that would be great
Revision done, article resubmittedHi, you recently reviewed an article I had submitted ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Pogo:_The_Complete_Syndicated_Comic_Strips ), and it did not pass. I have now added several credible sources from major news oulets, (chicago tribune, LA review of books, wired, new york journal of books). I you would like to review the article again it would be much appreciated. Thank you and have a nice day! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.226.181.169 (talk) 03:22, 8 April 2019 (UTC) A bowl of strawberries for you!

Kidnapping of şehzade HalilHi, please don’t move the article Kidnapping of Şehzade Halil. Check the history. That’s the original article created in 2011. The other is just a copy made in 2017. Şehzade Halil is a boy , quite unnotable except for the kidnapping and the political consequences. That’s why the title includes the word “kidnapping” Cheers..Nedim Ardoğa (talk) 07:28, 18 June 2019 (UTC)
Reworking text on Brian Primack pageHello, the subject of this page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brian_A._Primack has recently been hired as a dean by the University of Arkansas. I have been asked to update his page and, of course, saw that it has a COI tag on it. I work for the University of Arkansas so I might face similar concerns about conflict of interest. I do not work for the college at which Primack will be serving and do not know him personally. Is there a way for me to bring the existing article back within a neutral point of view? Thanks for any and all advices. Runnel (talk) 21:15, 18 June 2019 (UTC)

I read the note about needing more than a write up in Memphis Flyer. I would like to shed light on the fact that I’ve included more than one reference for media coverage that includes Memphis Flyer, WMC Action News 5 - Memphis, The Jackson Sun, and DeSoto Times-Tribune. Those aforementioned references span across two states and a few of them even have their own Wikipedia page. I’ve checked each hyperlink to the sources provided in the article and they appear to be working properly. Most importantly, in March the article was reviewed and it only required redrafting to the plot, which was previously successfully completed and approved. Moreover, all of the sources were already approved as satisfactory coverage. There are numerous approved film titles in Wikipedia with less media coverage. I’ve been working on this article since March and after several attempts I was elated when I received the update that I only needed to redraft the plot. To receive the update from you which states it was not approved due to more media coverage being needed is disheartening as I was previously informed otherwise. I would appreciate it if you reviewed all of the references to see that they meet the criteria as previous confirmed by your colleagues. Thank you and I’ll await your update.Nineminutesuntil (talk) 02:42, 11 July 2019 (UTC)

Attorney and Notary Public, Walewyn ( Walewijn ) van der veen, in New Amsterdam court of law.Hi, in reply to the decision to not approve the article regarding Walewyn ( Walewijn ) van der Veen ( resident of the Nieuwendijk at the time of his marriage), I would like to add that the courthouse documents from the New Amsterdam cases where he was involved, are used for the study of early American law and history. He was sworn in as Notary Public in 1662-1664. Walewyn was not a famous person but was active in the courts until the British takeover of New Netherlands in 1664. In some of the documents his stepson, Jacobus van der Water's signature is seen. His stepson later became 'auditor 'and mayor of New York. What is needed for the article to be approved? Nobody except FayenaticHi, I'm just back from holiday and noticed your comment naming me at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of fictional heirs apparent who never acceded. I was only the volunteer who implemented the consensus at CFD to convert the category to a list. You may be willing to amend the credit in the AfD for the "obscure set of criteria" to user:Andrei Iosifovich, who I note is still editing but did not show up to defend his work in that instance. – Fayenatic London 06:35, 13 September 2019 (UTC)
AfroCine: Join the Months of African Cinema this October!Greetings! After a successful first iteration of the “Months of African Cinema” last year, we are happy to announce that it will be happening again this year, starting from October 1! In the 2018 edition of the contest, about 600 Wikipedia articles were created in at least 8 languages. There were also contributions to Wikidata and Wikimedia commons, which brought the total number of wikimedia pages created during the contest to over 1,000. The AfroCine Project welcomes you to October, the first out of the two months which have been dedicated to creating and improving content that centre around the cinema of Africa, the Caribbean, and the diaspora. Join us in this global edit-a-thon, by helping to create or expand articles which are connected to this scope. Also remember to list your name under the participants section. Google Code-In 2019 is coming - please mentor some documentation tasks!Hello, Google Code-In, Google-organized contest in which the Wikimedia Foundation participates, starts in a few weeks. This contest is about taking high school students into the world of opensource. I'm sending you this message because you recently edited a documentation page at the English Wikipedia. I would like to ask you to take part in Google Code-In as a mentor. That would mean to prepare at least one task (it can be documentation related, or something else - the other categories are Code, Design, Quality Assurance and Outreach) for the participants, and help the student to complete it. Please sign up at the contest page and send us your Google account address to google-code-in-admins@lists.wikimedia.org, so we can invite you in! From my own experience, Google Code-In can be fun, you can make several new friends, attract new people to your wiki and make them part of your community. If you have any questions, please let us know at google-code-in-admins@lists.wikimedia.org. Thank you! --User:Martin Urbanec (talk) 21:58, 23 November 2019 (UTC) Inline citations in Round World version of the SilmarillionThe illogicality of your comment at the AfD is breathtaking. You said book is not an inline reference, so it's impossible to tell just what it's good for and to what extent. Whether or not the reference is inline does not make a blind bit of difference. I could easily turn it into inline references by adding ref tags. I could even provide page numbers since the Whittingham source provides them in her references to Tolkien. One can only judge whether or not a source verifies the material by actually reading it. The presence or absence of little blue numbers does not help one little bit. If you are unwilling or unable to read the source, then the rule is WP:AGF unless there is some other evidence that the material is problematic. Alliance RisingHi Clarityfiend, thanks for your edit to Alliance Rising here. Just for information, "EC" is used a number of times in the novel, starting at around page 15. I have an epub edition of the book, so the page number is approximate. I don't feel too strongly whether the abbreviation is used in the plot summary or not.
