Invitation to join WikiProject United States--Kumioko (talk) 03:20, 4 January 2011 (UTC) Commons pictureYou just edited a picture I uploaded to commons. Is there something else I need to do. I am new to filling up the details of the picture. Can you assist me in filling up any relevant information required? Thanks. Healagain (talk) 05:31, 4 January 2011 (UTC)
I took a look at it. Does that mean it will get deleted from commons and remain on English Wiki as you have done? Also how does one send an email confirmation? Healagain (talk) 04:14, 5 January 2011 (UTC)
Thanks for your time. Healagain (talk) 02:59, 6 January 2011 (UTC) usurpation in ru.wikiNow you can use SUL and take this account in ru.wiki. If you meet any problem - contact me Rubin16 (talk) 12:36, 11 January 2011 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free image File:Source Code Poster.JpegThanks for uploading File:Source Code Poster.Jpeg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media). If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Courcelles 03:37, 15 January 2011 (UTC) Done :) I hope You will use it for graphics. --Pablo000 (talk) 16:29, 15 January 2011 (UTC) RE: Painting of Rafael Cordero SantiagoHi, per your note on this page, I posted my reply on my page HERE, but maybe you expected it here since you haven't replied for several days. So here was my reply: "That photographic image is wonderful. How did you find it??? It shows that Churumba was a "fighter." He is credited with forcing the descentralization of the state government in PR via court battles that resulted in the Law of Autonomous Municipalities and the yielding of power from the central government to the municipalities. Until then, the municipalities had been nothing else than mere agents of the central government to carry on its functions rather than executors of the will of its local constituencies. Thus, for example, the Representative from Ponce in the State Legislature had more power than the Mayor of Ponce. "As such I think we should use that new image in the body of the article to portray that fighter quality of Churumba. However, how do we know that photo is not copywrited? Either way, and in any event, I would still use the image photo of the painting of Churumba in the infobox. It makes the article more presentable (because it is a portrait) than the photo (not a portrait). Of course, I would use it only as permitted by fair use gidelines. I've contacted John Piccard, the photographer, and he has agreed to publish and license the photo himself on flickr. I will use that version once the photographer makes it available. ----Bug Ung — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bug ung (talk • contribs) 21:50, 27 January 2011 (UTC) SULHello, Chaser! I do some graphics design to support myself - that's a leftover from a project. autoreviewer rightsHi! Your autoreviewer rights on huwiki has done. ELVe (talk) 14:27, 4 February 2011 (UTC) ITN candidate entryHi. Although it's at the bottom of the list, is there any chance that the blizzard entry could be posted given that the article is improved to a reasonable level in time? It appears to be more recent than Cyclone Yasi. I am currently working on integrating more information about Canadian impact into the article, so it should be "ready" soon. Thanks. ~AH1(TCU) 03:23, 6 February 2011 (UTC)
Wikipedia Ambassador ProgramHi! Since you've been identified as an Awesome Wikipedian, I wanted to let you know about the Wikipedia Ambassador Program, and specifically the role of Online Ambassador. We're looking for friendly Wikipedians who are good at reviewing articles and giving feedback to serve as mentors for students who are assigned to write for Wikipedia in their classes. If you're interested, I encourage you to take a look at the Online Ambassador guidelines; the "mentorship process" describes roughly what will be expected of mentors during the current term, which started in January and goes through early May. If that's something you want to do, please apply! You can find instructions for applying at WP:ONLINE. I hope to hear from you soon.--Sage Ross - Online Facilitator, Wikimedia Foundation (talk) 19:25, 8 February 2011 (UTC) thanks for the helpdidn't know exactly what to do thank you for prodding me in the right direction
Yes, we do rely currently on that donation, as you can also see here. I'd go with it. --Elitre (talk) 23:17, 11 February 2011 (UTC)
I see that you recently changed the portrait of Mubarak on T:ITN on the Main Page. If I'm not mistaken, File:Hosni Mubarak ritratto.jpg is not protected. So we won't have Δ (talk · contribs) railing on WP:AN again, could you protect the image or find someone on Commons to do it? If I am mistaken and the image cannot be vandalized, just ignore this message—I'm not very knowledgeable about protection and images. Goodvac (talk) 23:55, 11 February 2011 (UTC)

Usurp at id.wikipediaHi, sorry for the delay. id:WP:USURP done. Thanks. --ivanlanin 18:07, 17 March 2011 (UTC) "lockstep"Hi. I noticed that at Angers Bridge, you wrote that the collapse was caused by soldiers marching in lockstep. Did you mean lockstep in the original sense, where prisoners marched with each one's hand on the shoulder of the man in front of him, so close that each one's front foot was next to another man's back foot? If so, it could use a citation for this unusual practice for soldiers (though the OED has a quotation suggesting that French soldiers practiced it). I see there's a new sense, just "in step", moving the same leg at the same time, as in this picture. If that's what you meant, it's not in dictionaries and I'm not sure it's encyclopedic English yet. The first citation I could find at Google Books for "'Angers Bridge' lockstep" was from 2006, which I think is recent enough for it to be the "in step" sense. —JerryFriedman (Talk) 19:34, 17 March 2011 (UTC)
