CharlieTheCabbie|paġna utenti|diskussjoni 01:49, 18 January 2015 (UTC) It is practically impossible for someone to make money by wholesale copying of WikipediaHi Charlie, as with Howicus and Lor I would like to try to clear up some things about the copyright. Firstly, a company that copies Wikipedia's content wholesale cannot copyright their book and can only license their book under a similar license to Wikipedia. Therefore although it is technically possible for them to make money of their book, in practice they cannot because it is completely legal for someone to copy and release their book for free. A book that uses Wikipedia's content will only take a small excerpt of it, with proper attribution, which I would not consider stealing because it's basically the same as saying "The New York Times states that: '...'". Your work will not go to companies that steal content. Even if such companies exist, they are in the minority and if they even become mildly popular, they will receive a lot of bad press, even if it is technically legal. I hope you reconsider your decision of quitting Wikipedia as your work won't help many companies make money, and attempts that try to are either ineffective (because they hold no copyright) or illegal (which you can sue). Possible issuePlease note that your page User:CharlieTheCabbie/Jelly_Jamm is apparently being used for vandalism by an IP user. The user is repeatedly adding links to that page from other pages in which they do not seem to belong. Apologies if I am in error. MopSeeker (talk) 23:51, 23 July 2015 (UTC)
