Since the last issue, the number of stub articles has decreased again. It would be greatly appreciated if anyone could help expand and/or source an article or two. A list has been placed on the stub article subpage of stub articles of well-known wrestlers that should be fairly easy to improve.

Collaboration of the Month
Magic Johnson has been chosen to be our very first Collaboration of the Month article. Although this is article is already a Good Article, it still can be improved. The goal is to improve this article by the end of May so that it can be nominated for Featured Article status. In particular, free-use images should be found for the article, all Manual of Style guidelines should be followed, and a neutral point of view should be maintained throughout the article. If there is anything you can do to improve the article, then please help out.
SuggestBot picks articles in a number of ways based on other articles you've edited, including straight text similarity, following wikilinks, and matching your editing patterns against those of other Wikipedians. It tries to recommend only articles that other Wikipedians have marked as needing work. Your contributions make Wikipedia better -- thanks for helping.
If you have feedback on how to make SuggestBot better, please tell me on SuggestBot's talk page. Thanks from ForteTuba, SuggestBot's caretaker.
Hello and thanks for scheduling Image:KatrinaNewOrleansFlooded edit2.jpg as POTD. However, the POTD is selected from the pool of Featured Pictures in a roughly first-in, first-out order, so this one has kind of jumped the queue, having been promoted so recently. I moved this to August 29, as that's the anniversary of Katrina hitting New Orleans. howcheng {chat}16:48, 19 May 2008 (UTC)

This Month in NBA History..
June 6, 1946 – In the Commodore Hotel of New York, the NBA is officially formed as the Basketball Association of America. Maurice Podoloff is named the first commissioner of the league.
Last month's Collaboration of the Month, Magic Johnson was a great success. A total of 560 edits were made to the article during the month of May, and the article was eventually nominated as a Featured Article Candidate. Although the article was not promoted, it was significantly improved through the work of many editors.
This month's Collaboration of the Month is Steve Nash. Although this is article is already a Good Article, it still can be improved. In particular, all prose should conform to Featured Article standards, all statements should be verified, and the text should be in a neutral point of view. If there is anything you can do to improve the article, then please help out.
Collaborator of the Month
The Collaborator of the Month is given to the editor with the most number of substantial, beneficial edits to the article chosen as the Collaboration of the Month.
This month's Collaborator of the Month award goes to Chensiyuan (talk·contribs). Although he had previously helped Magic Johnson to became a Good article, he made literally hundreds of edits during the month of May. For his contributions, he is rewarded with the NBA Collaborator of the Month Award.
However, all beneficial edits made by any editor was a help. Other members of the project that contributed to the article include:

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Kizzy: Mum at 14, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Kizzy: Mum at 14 seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Kizzy: Mum at 14, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. You are performing a useful service
By starting entries, you help those who are beginners and daunted by editing Wikipedia get a usable template to enter more data. In particular you started an entry for Harriet McBryde Johnson, probably on the basis of her NYT obituary. Most people (and especially Harriet) who get noticed by that paper are almost pre-screened as "notable" and she most assuredly was. Keep doing it - it's a help. And you might find any people in the list of disability rights activists who don't have entries, e.g. Wade Blank who is very notable.
This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Nick Badami, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.iht.com/articles/ap/2008/06/06/sports/SKI-Obit-Badami.php. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.
This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 16:48, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
A pay-per-view event chronology has been added as a feature to the Wrestling event infobox, please assist the project in adding this feature to professional wrestling pay-per-view event articles.

As I'm sure you noticed above, this is the 20th edition of the WikiProject Professional wrestling newsletter! It has come a long way since the first issue, and I'm sure it will only improve from here. I'd like to thank everyone reading this for continuing to read the newsletter, biweekly.
Also, lastly I'd like to thank Misza13, for sending the newsletter out for us, though his bot. His bot has to be the most important part of the process, because without it, the newsletter would not get sent to project members.
I know that's a long list, but they all deserve recognition for their hard work towards the newsletter. So again, thank you to that list of people, and thank you to all of the newsletter's biweekly readers. If you have an questions, comments, or feedback about the newsletter, remember those links below.

A Community forum has been set up at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Food and drink/Article guidelines for the various Food and Drink projects to develop a set of Manual of Style guidelines for use in articles under the auspices of all the related Food and Drink WikiProjects and task forces. This would be similar to the MoS guidelines for biographies or legal articles.
OK, I just don't like to see people become notable because of their own death. You are certainly right that there are other articles more deserving of deletion.Cosprings (talk) 16:39, 25 August 2008 (UTC)
Ok, now you're getting haughty. Are you to assume I am in a stage of learning lower than yours?
Friends is the among the worst creation in the history of mankind, 100% pure brain-washing drivel propaganda. I hope you're being facetious . Cosprings (talk) 16:51, 25 August 2008 (UTC)
Your recent edits removing the word "born"
Hi,
I've just looked at your recent contributions and you seem to be going through various articles removing the word "born" from before the birthdate. Can you give a little bit more information as to why you are doing this, as it seems to be a little bit perfunctory? I've reverted one edit of yours as it removed the birth location which is useful information.
In future could you use the edit summary field to briefly explain your actions, as it makes it a whole lot clearer to other editors?
Cheers, OBM | blah blah blah08:02, 28 August 2008 (UTC)
Hey,
I know what you mean, but the Manual of Style does give a standard format for birth and death dates, which your edits unfortunately move away from. It would be good if you could have a read and then undo your edits accordingly; I didn't want to just undo them without explaining why.
As far as the location of birth is concerned; I agree that having it directly after the date of birth does clutter it up a bit, so in the future it might be an idea to move it into the personal info para rather than getting rid of it totally (as per the biog bit of the MOS).
I've just noticed your edit to Betty Ford. Can you please explain why you're continuing to remove the word "born" despite my note above? If you feel that it is worthy of deletion please can you continue the discussion on my (or your) talk page?
The Future class rating has been incorporated into the project's assessment. It's intended use is for pay-per-views articles or video games that have not occurred or have been released, respectively.
