Proposed deletion of Street party

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Street party, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

this is just fluff

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. CRT

You reverted what you called POV doodling but if you had read the discussion you would have seen that it was an attempt to get some clarification by what is meant, in clear English, by that list. In fact A critique of liberalism could mean that CRT does not consider individual liberty and equality to be an important political goal. since liberalism's stated goal is individual liberty and equality. A critique of liberalism could mean something different than that, but without an explanation it means nothing. If you know what was meant by the items on that list by all means please make some changes. I came upon that page and it seemed to be pretty much unintelligible to anyone who didn't already understand the subject. Thanks for the clarification... I think I may have been a little quick to stop "assuming good faith." On the other hand, my knowledge of CRT and common sense said that your edits were either factually inaccurate (like the interpretation of the liberalism critique above) and/or deliberately argumentative. Anyhow, I'll get to work on improving and clarifying the page soon. And I'd suggest you consider using tags like {{Cleanup-jargon}} from Wikipedia:Template messages/Cleanup#Style_of_writing --Carwil (talk) 18:11, 10 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
