Thank you for the link to the letter N. I have read the article. I think you have misunderstood the note in the article for With Apologies to Jesse Jackson. In that show, Randy Marsh is a contestant on Wheel Of Fortune. He is given 5 free letters to use in solving the puzzle, RTSLE. However, on the real Wheel Of Fortune, contestants are given 6 letters, RSTLNE. This is a valid, noteworthy difference betwen the real show and the one portrayed on South Park. I cut it down so that is could be rebuilt, it was full of digressions and quotes, and spoilers, I was trying to get it back under 700 words as it was over 1300! Reply: Fiction refs

As the tag clearly states: Mere trivia, or references unimportant to the overall plot of a work of fiction, should be deleted. The articles need cleanup. Well I don't always have the time, and I'm not always an expert on the subject to be able to just instantly fix the problem. Many maintenance tags are noticed by people, so clean up does happen. Who/how to report vandalism?

Hi! I am very impressed with your ClueBot. I logged in to #wikipedia-VAN to watch it in action, it's cool. I often revert vandalism myself on the pages on my watchlist, and sometimes I check the vandal's contributions page to see if he/she has been messing with other pages. I often find multiple incidences of vandalism by these users, and while I can revert their changes, I have no idea to whom I can report their actions or how to go about it. Because it's not a cultural reference, it's a minor one sentence mention of someones name. We usually don't mention references like that, for example, why aren't Dennis Kucinich or Fred Thompson mentioned? Because these sections are discouraged (even the sourced ones have detractors), we try to limit them to large parodies and songs. I am not a vandal. User:TTN does the same thing, and while fans of shows don't usually like him, among those who are more concerned with the health of the encyclopedia, he is a very respected user. Those episodes don't have enough real-world information for Wikipedia. The information is not gone, though. I have transferred the contents of the articles to South Park Wiki, because any information on South Park is welcome there. Soon infoboxes and the images from the articles will be placed there as well. Why fight to keep the information in an environment where it is not welcome? Screaming vandalism at a good-faith editor doesn't help your cause. Leaving level-4 warnings on her talk page sure doesn't help, because I don't think you will find an admin that will block her. The articles she is redirecting don't have any real-world information, and don't meet standards for Wikipedia articles. That said, I left a note on her talk page advising her to slow down, and put cleanup tags on the articles first. Please listen to me

I have already told you, and now so have many others. The eight episode articles I have redirected are not notable enough to be in Wikipedia. To be a notable episode of a series, there has to be as much space taken up on real world information about the episode as there is plot given, or even more. I will not redirect an episode which has sufficient outside information available. That having been said, most of the information should also have references provided to reliable third party sources.

I have also told you that I did not allow the work of the users who constructed those pages to be in vain. None of those episodes had articles in South Park Wiki, the wikia dedicated solely to information on South Park. I thought, at the same time as I redirect the pages here, I might as well create articles for them there, and then relocate the information to those new articles.

After you have read through my every word here, I have this to ask you: Why do you want the articles for those episodes to remain here - where they are cited as "trivial", and would end up being redirected by other users eventually anyway (and not all of them might be willing to put in the effort to transfer the articles to the South Park Wiki) - when they could really flourish, and be read, admired, and learned from by readers in South Park Wiki? We need the information there, and it's not needed or wanted here. I promise you and all the users who created the articles here in the first place, their work will not be in vain. Wendy Testaburger's article was merged early in 2007 because of a discussion. She can not be brought back unil her notability is established to that degree. Working on redirected articles

Great! It's a few steps.

Step 1: Enter the name of the article that was redirected. I've set up a test redirect to show you.. it's User:SirFozzie/sandbox.

Step 2: That will take you from the redirected page to where it got redirected to (in this case, User:SirFozzie). There's a note at the very top of the page that you were redirected. Click that link. (in this case, redirected from User:SirFozzie/sandbox

Step 3: You'll be back to the original page that you tried to get to, and the only content will be a Redirect message.

Step 4: Go to the history tab, all the revisions prior to the redirect should be available. You can choose one to edit and copy. I suggest that you make a sandbox page of your own (I can help you with that if you want), copy it over to your sandbox page, and work on it in user space.

Step 5: Then, if and when it's ready, you can just copy it back (but please, don't do so until it complies with WP policies.. I suggest that you ask an admin or someone similar to look it over before you do so, that way we can make sure your work doesn't disappear underneath another redirect if it doesn't qualify under our guidelines :)

I haven't updated the navbar in quite a while ... I really should, since a lot of the links are probably deprecated by now. One of these days I'll get around to it.

I wrote the code for the navbar back when Interiot's Tool2 was the most commonly-used edit counter on Wikipedia, so most people had it installed in their .js files. If you don't know what a .js file is, don't worry about it. (For the record, it's what allows you to use things such as Twinkle.) A large portion of users don't ever use them, or even know that they're there.

Tool2 is no longer really the standard edit counter anymore. Some people have gone back to Kate's Tool, and some (including RfA) have moved on to Interiot's Tool3. Neither one of those involves .js files -- they just open in a new browser tab/window, you punch in the name, and presto. All of this, of course, can be found at WP:KATE.

So, long story short, you have two options. If you're comfortable with changing the navbar html document yourself, simply delete the line that says

<li><a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Interiot/Tool2/code.js">Edit Counter</a></li>

and replace it with

<li><a href="http://tools.wikimedia.de/~interiot/cgi-bin/count_edits">Edit Counter</a></li>

or, if you're not comfortable doing that, ignore the edit count button and sit tight until I update the code.

I meant that you've been naughty, and it was just a matter of time until you got spanked. What you seem to fail to realize is that your fellow editors are human beings just like you, with feelings and a desire to be appreciated. Your edits which damage the encyclopedia are easy to fix, but when you use cruel words to provoke or threaten your fellow editors you do damage which cannot be remedied. Perhaps you are too young to realize it (or perhaps you do realize it yet are indifferent) but words have power. In either case, you need to become more aware of how your words affect your peers, and try to work alongside them instead of in opposition to them. Need some help

{{helpme}} Question: how do I tag an article that has a section that appears to be a copyright violation? I've seen tags that alert admins so that entire pages are deleted, but I don't think this page deserves deletion, just removal of the copyvio. I don't know how to say this without sounding like I've snapped, but it seems like you're mighty selective. When you revert Goldfishsoldier's edits to Stan Marsh's article, you merely say that he removed too much info without even providing a summary. When I did the same thing way back, you went so far as to call it vandalism. I might be missing a connection between these, or why the cases are different, but I ain't seeing it. Is it that you merely have a problem with women? Is it that you thought about it, and decided what you said was too harsh? If not, I think WP:AGF is calling to you. Whenever I revert vandalism, I also inspect the editors contribs list for edits made to other pages and, if they've vandalized them, I revert those, too. Back when I first noticed you, your edits at the time showed a deliberate march through a dozen or so South Park pages, deleting content throughout, without any notice whatsoever on the talk pages of any of them that you were going to do so. That's vandalism, in my book. When Goldfishsoldier made his edit it was to a single page, and he had left a notice on the talk page about it. That's a bold edit. I disagreed with his edit, and reverted it, with a notice that it was too much content to remove without discussion. I have no problem with women nor with bold editing if it is discussed with other editors. By the way, you did a fine job on the re-write of Stan Marsh after my revert. For defending me; I'm really humbled by that. It's good to know someone believes in me. And I'm sorry that my behaviour has made such a bad impression on you; I really can be quite civil to others, but under tense circumstances, as you may have noticed, I wig out. Ever since that incident in February (please let's not speak of it) I have been trying to better my behaviour, and I really expected myself to recover from it immediately. But I turned out to be one of those sorts of people for whom relapses are inevitable at first.

I guess if I'm ever going to clear myself for those episode redirects in January, now's the time for it:

"At the time, I wanted to save time and convenience with creating the episode pages for the missing episodes in South Park Wiki. I thought back to how User:TTN would simply redirect or merge an eps. article of a show, of which the episode wasn't particularly "notable". I actually always considered it ridiculous, myself, but using me head and not my heart, I decided to take this policy to my own advantage. I left out the episodes which seemed notable enough for Wikipedia, in my drive, but those which were basically all plot, I redirected and transferred their info to South Park Wiki. However, you and several other editors reverted that, and at least you said it was vandalism. I had never meant to hurt Wikipedia, as you saw it, just to follow the episode criteria somewhat, and help the wikia to benefit from it. It wasn't vandalism by intention, and I don't like being called a vandalizer when I'm not. And so that's how our personal feud started, though I don't remember all that happened after that."

That instance, what you said after the "Feb. Incident" occurred, and what you said about my removal of content in Stan's article, in contrast to your reaction to similar edits by Goldfishsoldier, caused me to dislike you immensely, as my atrocious behaviour (which I see now for what it was) caused you to dislike me. It's hard to see the good sides of people you are annoyed or even angered with, but it's usually there. I know, from our discussions, and from (yes, it's more of my trademark nosiness, but) observing a few of your contributions (mainly your reverts of real vandals) that you are an honest and hard-working editor, who would never call someone a vandal without good reason, or what you believed was good reason.

I have high doubts that you'll ever forgive me for the way I've behaved to you in the past, but I want you to know that my dislike of you has long-since dissipated with understanding. And I am glad that you defended me as well. I don't expect us to become friends, but I hope to be on peace terms with you now. Have a good day, I hope. I just thought I should let you know that you don't have to worry about shamelessly pilfering userboxen and modifying them to suit your tastes, since everything on Wikipedia is covered by the GNU Free Documentation license and therefore can be freely modified by anyone without fear of toe-stepping (most of my userboxen were created this way). Can you clarify?

Hi Captain, So we've been going back and forth on the Mr. Bubble page, and I guess I'd like your help if possible. I am not trying to advertise or appear biased, I just want to get the most current information up. I've never used wikipedia before this (which I'm sure you've noticed...)so I guess I'm still getting used to the guidelines. As far as the T-shirt thing goes, I have no problem with it being removed, and I wasn't trying to advertise. The reason I put it into the article was because a lot of consumers don't know if the offer is still valid since the companies switched. Can I put anything about it up without it being an ad? Hey! Thanks for your message! I do use Twinkle and I used that to revert the vandalism and open the users talk page,

But I also use friendly Wikipedia:FRIENDLY which is very similar (and you 'install' it the same way). You get another button (like the ones that you get with twinkle) with "Wel" written on it on a users talk page. There are a bunch of really useful templates for welcoming new users to wikipedia. I think that particular template was "welcome-annon-vandal".

Thanks for your comment. I think the sentence I marked in the article said something to the effect of "There is nothing to support the belief that the mezcal worm has aphrodesiac properties." I marked this as needing a citation, and you essentially said "Are you asking me to prove a negative? That's not cool." Understandable. But I'm not actually asking you to _prove_ a negative, just to give some evidence. The disputed sentence actually makes two assertions, both of which should have some evidence to support them: 1) some people (^[who?]) believe that the mezcal worm has certain properties; and 2) these people are wrong. Unless you have eaten a mezcal worm and found no evidence that it helps your love life (d'oh!), and used that as the basis for the sentence (which would probably count as original research), you probably heard somewhere that the mezcal worm isn't really an aphrodesiac. On the Sprinkles page, you say it's not "labelling" in any dictionary. This is wrong. I'm not going to get into an edit war, I just wanted you to know that my Oxford English Dictionary says "labelling". Even Wikipedia says you can use either on the Labelling page.
