Hi BuzyBody - I see you've been discovering a large number of town or city mottoes and placing them in their infoboxes. That is great - thanks for the additions! However, on a somewhat related note, it is unnecessary to replace the bare URL display of the town's website in the infobox with "The town of [blank]". It's actually helpful to have the URL displayed in the infobox. Likewise, down in the External links section, I think it's unnecessary to add "Portal style website, Government, Business, Library, Recreation and more" after the town website - after you see it a few times, it basically is just boilerplate. In this case, simpler is better. I appreciate the energy you're putting into the articles you've found. --Ken Gallager (talk) 14:15, 27 September 2012 (UTC)
Thank you for pointing this out. I did not realize it was better to have the URL displayed in the infobox for the town's website. I missed that on the wiki guideline somehow! I really appreciate the information you provided on Konny Reismann. I was not aware of his significance in Germany. I removed him from the Notable people section because he does not have a Wikipedia article which is needed to establish his notability in Wikipedia. You should know a few things.
1- Find a Grave is not a WP:RS per here[1]. I know this also rules it out as an EL, but that rule is not enforced and I myself and many other experienced editors have put it as an EL at the bottom of articles. As a inline citation, it is a no no.
2- Per WP:ELRC in most cases there shouldn't be EL to sources that are already being used for inline citations.

You're welcome. A few other tips.
1- Check to see if the congressman is categorized for the towns or cities he was from. Say Congressman Jones is from Stamford CT, add to his article. People from Stamford Connecticut. Not all towns have a category, but then counties do. If Congressman Smith is from Farmington CT, add to his article the category People from Hartford County, Connecticut. A person is from multiple towns, say Congressman Walters was born in Pomfret CT but also lived in New Haven CT, add the appropriate categories.
2- Google news archive is a excellent source for news about Congressmen for the last 60 years. Here's a link[2] to a google news archive page.(Sorry the archive doesn't have a main entry page. Long story) Bookmark it and if you're doing an article on Congressman Harry Hansen from the 1960's, search the archive to see if there are any interesting articles about him.

Congressmen
I'd like to point out that "Political Graveyard" and "GovTrack" are unreliable sources under WP:RS, and should not be cited anyway, except if there is no other source at all. "Find a Grave" should be added in the "External links" section, using the Find a Grave template you can see when opening the editing window of any article which has it in the proper place, not as a citation. I was not able to see where the sources you mentioned were listed under WP:RS and want to make sure I am not missing any others. Please check out Wikipedia:Identifying reliable sources#Self-published and questionable sources. Political Graveyard and GovTrack must be included in this category as "self-published". I quote "Questionable sources are those with a poor reputation for checking the facts, or with no editorial oversight" - That's the case with Political Graveyard. It doesn't mean that the info is necessarily incorrect, but you can not rely on it. Anyway, it's made up of transcriptions, and it is better to find the original source. Find a Grave is a similar case, but one may assume much more of good faith, it becomes much more reliable if a photo of the gravestone, or a copy of the obit, is added, which is the reason that it is accepted as an "External link", so the reader can check out the quality of the info. GovTrack actually only reiterates the length of the term which is already available in the Congress Bio. The frequency of missed rollcalls is irrelevant trivia, and of doubtful veracity for 19th-century congressmen. Anyway, all these sites, and IMDB and Our Campaigns etc. are also "self-published" and "user-generated" with mostly no sources stated. Kraxler (talk) 15:37, 10 September 2013 (UTC)
Please do not un-redlink notable person's names in succession boxes. The red links are legitimate under the guidelines, and are necessary to find the names with the "What links here" function.
Please do not add full dates in succession boxes (at the bottom). The "years" space should contain only years; full dates may be stated in the text of the article, and in infoboxes (at the top right). Kraxler (talk) 00:50, 19 September 2013 (UTC)
Hi, I removed the red links you mentioned above because I kept getting the disambiguation notice from the bot after I worked on an article. The bot notice referenced those specif red links removed. I think there is some misunderstanding. Red links usually do not trigger bot messages. The bot messages you get after working on an article refer either to blue links that link to disambiguation pages, or "bracket bot" tells you that some punctuation (often brackets) are used incorrectly. I have deleted the disambiguation notices I have received recently but think I just got confused. If I get another disambiguation notice I am confused on, I will contact you if you do not mind.
I have made the changes you mentioned above & really appreciate your help. Do you have any guidance on sources I may check to find references for Congressional articles? Most info in congressmen's articles comes from the Congress bios which were the original source (automatically transcribed by PolBot). It's not easy to find additional info, but if the congressmen were at some time also state legislators, there may be some more info in the state legislative manuals (like the "New York Red Book"). I've been working on New York, and added most info already (up to 1922). For other States, there may be something similar. Hi, I am not sure why this article may need to be deleted? I created it because I was looking at the draft picks for Tampa Bay and there was a red link to his name, which I thought indicated an article should be created. Please advise. People sometimes redlink indiscriminately. For a football player to be notable he either must have played (not just been rostered, but actually have gotten into a regular or post-season game) for an NFL, CFL, or Arena League team (per WP:NGRIDIRON), or been awarded a significant award or set some significant record or had an extraordinary amount of press coverage (not just mention in game summaries) as a college player (WP:NCOLLATH). If you like to write about sports figures, it might pay you to read WP:NSPORT, which is the details for the notability requirements for all types of athletes. Happy editing! I would add, don't sweat it too much. It may end up getting deleted or kept. But I say go through the process in good faith and learn from it. Also, a football player can also achieve notability without playing professionally though another measure such as WP:GNG (general notability guideline). Johnny Manziel, Barry J. Hi BuzyBody. Thanks for adding citations to the names listed as List of University of Arizona people -- your efforts are very much appreciated. I wanted to mention that the NNDB website is not considered a reliable source for use on Wikipedia. This is the consensus of opinion from several discussions over the years at the RS noticeboard. So it would be best if we refrained from using it as a reference and found other reliable sourcing instead. (For example, the one you have added from the UA alumni association is a good one.)
