DNA molecule glitch

I'm not seeing that glitch on my side. If you download the file to your computer and view it in your browser, do you see the glitch? It could be due to resizing. — BRIAN0918 • 2006-12-18 15:15Z

I don't think it is resizing issues, it is even blimping, every 3 seconds, on the file page: Image:ADN animation.gif. Ask someone else if they see the blibs. All the other movement images I see work fine. --Sadi Carnot 15:23, 18 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It’s been blipping for about a month or so now. It was working fine when I started the history of the molecule article on 09/19/06. I use Yahoo, but I don’t know how to run that type of image off of my desktop; what type of program would I use? --Sadi Carnot 16:43, 18 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I see the glitch reported by Sadi Carnot at 9 second intervals after 2/3 of a rotation. When I download the file at http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/8/81/ADN_animation.gif, I got only 83 frames and an error message when I opened the file saying some of the file may be missing. Downloading at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:ADN_animation.gif, I got all 120 frames. It looks like some sort of server software problem, probably should be reported if others can verify this behavior, but will get a low priority since it doesn't affect the display of the file on an article page. If the information is from the reference sources, then the tags to verify sources can be removed, that's fine.

Bear in mind though, when a reference source is generically cited, it can be hard for others to verify contents and to be sure which facts in the article are genuinely in that source, and which are added by later editors and need separate verification. In that case it's better to footnote individual facts, and note them in the footnote as from that source, which allows clarity which statements are verified, which are not, in future.

The style issues, of course, are separate, "Execution" is more encyclopedic a term.

If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be a justification explaining why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

ISO 8601 signature

How do you get your signature to work? I copied the code from your monobook.js, but when I save it, it replaces {{subst:CURRENTYEAR}}-{{subst:CURRENTMONTH}}-{{subst:CURRENTDAY2}} {{subst:CURRENTTIME}}Z with 2007-01-04 01:19Z , making my signature permanently have that date.
