You can't advertise. Period. First, you need to consider not leaving pretty much identical entries to several articles. Also, Wikipedia looks down heavily on conflict of interest editing and single-purpose editors; you may want to read WP:COI and WP:ADV. BOVINEBOY2008 21:12, 1 July 2010 (UTC)

2010 in film content dispute

I can understand the frustration you've recently experienced in editing this article, but you're engaged in the edit war just as much as the opposing editor. Hidden-text and edit-summary rationales, along with sporadic user-page dialogue, do little to help establish consensus. Not one of you has documented your logic on the article's talk page and invited other editors to chime in. To this end, I have protected the page for a short period, so rationales can surface and truth win out. Then, if the errant editor defies the community, he/she will be blocked. Infobox

I disagree. The headings (ex: Reception, Promotion, Casting the main roles) all capitolize the first word, no matter if it is a proper noun or not. Why should we now try and do something different as a smaller heading in the infobox? If the (screenplay) wasn't in parenthasis, it would be above John Williams, also capitolized. Start date

In this edit to the Shrek 2 article you changed the second release date in the infobox to use {{Start date}}. According to the infobox documentation, only the very first release date should use {{Start date}}. I believe this has to do with microformats. - Kollision (talk) 06:07, 11 July 2010 (UTC)

Category:2010 video games

Because they haven't been released in 2010 yet. As soon as they are released in 2010, they can be considered a 2010 game. See similar patterns in the film and television. BOVINEBOY2008 11:39, 13 July 2010 (UTC)

Rollback

Hi, I've just moved the Puss in Boots (2011 film) article for you as requested. Thanks for all your work here. On looking through your contributions I have a couple of observations which may be helpful.

  • Firstly about rollback, please don't use it to undo good faith edits. These should all be reverted with a proper edit summary. For example the author of this edit deserves to know why their edit was undone. Please only use rollback for blatant vandalism.
  • Secondly, I was curious about the Puss in Boots film. This version seems quite decent with inline references, etc. However you edit warred to revert it back to a redirect. Yet a month a later you seem to be happy for the article to exist (and the current version has fewer sources!). Redirecting is almost equivalent to deleting an article and I can't help feeling in cases like this that it would be better to open an AfD on the article to get some discussion going. Or at least to contact the author and explain what you have done and why.

Don't get me wrong, I feel your judgements are usually correct and in line with policy, but I'm afraid that your actions may be turning away and discouraging decent editors who just need some guidance and explanation about what they've done wrong.
