Thank you for telling us about the copy-edit to the article; I'll check out what's happened and archive it or leave it accordingly. In future though, if you don't want to archive it, please mark the request done and add a note with the name of the user who copy-edited it so we can archive the request. AdelaideI've declined your speedy request as I don't feel that it is a 'blatant' hoax. That criterion applies to things like 'Elvis is alive and playing nightly in Josef Stalin's bar on Mars'. Something that requires more specialised knowledge should go to AfD. Speedy is for admins to make decisions based on clear cut stuff. Looking into Google, I have seen a source quoted backing the article's statements. This may be unreliable. I would suggest that you take the article to AfD and place your evidence on the table there for a consensus to be reached. Peridon (talk) 20:17, 5 January 2014 (UTC)

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive, until the dispute is resolved through consensus. I apologize if I came across as rude or unpleasant, I just want to make sure that articles related to Dacia stay clean and bias-free. I come across many users who are anti-Romanian and anti-Dacian and get away with pushing POV nonsense and hate into some articles, such as this one. Again, I apologize, and I want to improve these articles, not mess them up. Afro-Eurasian (talk) 15:45, 11 January 2014 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on Eremburga of Mortain requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable. If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. KJ click here 05:11, 4 February 2014 (UTC) Regarding Latin Europe, Latin Peoples, etc. What is your problem? All you have been doing is remove content based on your prejudice, add unnecessary tags, and act like you are superior to me. And when things don't go your way, you add a bunch of nonsense into the article like you did here. Yes, I am rather new to Wikipedia. Yes, I may not know every policy (neither do you). And yes, sometimes I mess up (you do too). However, you are not, I repeat, not, helping any of these articles. Instead of seeking deletion of an article or removal of content, try helping by finding sources to improve the article. The level of anti-Latin, anti-Romanian, and anti-Dacian prejudice you have is incredible. You are making it hard for me to actually improve Wikipedia when all you do is constantly revert, delete, etc. I can't even get some time to find proper sources because you keep deleting! Also, you speak to me like I am mentally challenged... I am a native speaker of English, while you are not. So please, don't think that I am speaking negatively to you. I just want peace and for these articles to be improved. Afro-Eurasian (talk) 23:37, 4 February 2014 (UTC)

February 2014Your recent editing history at Latin Europe shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. To avoid being blocked, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. See BRD for how this is done. You can post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Laszlovszky András (talk) 08:30, 18 May 2014 (UTC) Banate of MacsoCould this be renamed in Banate of Mačva, or Mačva banate or Banate of Macho? I know that Banatus Machoviensis was a part of Hungarian kingdom for a long time, but inhabitants of the banatus were Greeks and Slavs. John Van Antwerp Fine, Jr. uses the term Mačva banate to refer to what is called in Latin Banatus Machoviensis or Banatus de Macho.--Владимир Нимчевић (talk) 21:37, 24 May 2014 (UTC)

It was very fun to review them, and I learned a lot about medieval Hungarian history (medieval history was my focus in college, and hopefully will continue to be when I go to grad school). Just to let you know, I'm nominating all of the articles to go on Did you know...? Final comment: With the Principality of Nitra, the article says that "after Pribina's expulsion, Nitra became one of the most important centers within Great Moravia." Center of what? An editor on the DYK nomination page found that sentence rather vague.--¿3family6 contribs 12:34, 17 June 2014 (UTC)

About Sigismund's statue built by King MatthiasThe current version of John Hunyadi article contains the following text: According to this anecdote, John was actually not Voyk's child, but King Sigismund's illegitimate son.The story became especially popular during the reign of John Hunyadi's son, Matthias Corvinus who erected a statue for King Sigismund in Buda. I am wondering how relevant that statue is. Can that really be considered an argument? After all raising statues is a very common habit and I think it is a forced interpretation to see that as a way of admitting that Sigismund was the king's grandfather. See the meaning of conquest in the Thesaurus dictionary (Merriam Webster, it's an E. Habsburgs lost the war against Matthias in 1461This is a primary school curriculum in Hungary, but is is also part of the history education of grammar schools too (there is mentioned even in my history text books from grammar school) However you depicted falsely some facts, and you mention selective weird historic events, which are negligible in that war. However you try to hush up relevant facts: The Habsburgs lost that war. It is a very basic knowledge, However you have never heard about it. Just read one of the webpage of Hungarian Ministry of Human Resources (which includes State Secretariat for Education) http://erettsegizz.com/tortenelem/hunyadi-matyas-matyas-kiraly-erettsegi-tetel/ "III. Frigyest ellenkirállyá választották, de Mátyás győzött felettük, majd kibékült velük és tisztségeket adott nekik, ezzel elnyerve támogatásukat. You selected only the first battle of Körmend (which did not proved a decisive battle, if you consider the fact that Friedrich lost the war.) Ismered azt a jogi fogalmat hogy tények hamis színben való feltüntetése? Szelektíven kiválasztasz egyes részeket, (amik céljaidnak megfelelnek), más releváns információkat eseményeket persze nem említed meg a háború mnetével kapcsolatban, és a végkifejletét sem összegzed. A magyar történelmet nem ismerő külföldi olvasót persze így könnyen meg lehet téveszteni: (ez egy tökéletes példa rá) The rumors proved to be true, because at least 30 barons—including Ladislaus Garai, Nicholas Újlaki, and Ladislaus Kanizsai—met in Németújvár (now Güssing in Austria) and offered the throne to Emperor Frederick III on 17 February 1459.[30][33][61] Although the joint troops of the Emperor and the rebellious lords defeated a royal army at Körmend in March 27, Garai had by that time died and Újlaki soon entered into negotiations with Matthias' envoys.[61] Nevertheless, skirmishes along the western borderlands lasted for several months, preventing Matthias from providing military assistance to Stephen Tomašević against the Ottomans.[59] The latter took Smederevo on 29 June, completing the conquest of Serbia.[62][63] Pope Pius II step up to mediate a peace treaty between the Emperor and Matthias.[33] George of Poděbrady likewise offered his assistance.[64] The representatives of the Emperor and Matthias signed a truce in Olomouc in April 1460.[30] The Pope soon offered financial support for an anti-Ottoman campaign.[59] However, John Jiskra returned from Poland, renewing the armed conflicts with the Czech mercenaries in early 1460.[59] Although Matthias seized a newly erected fort from the Czechs, but he could not force them to obey.[59] The costs of his five-month-long campaign in Upper Hungary were covered by an extraordinary tax.[65] Jiskra swore an oath of loyalty to Emperor Frederick on 10 March 1461.[59] In response, Matthias entered into an alliance with the Emepror's rebellious brother, Albert VI, Archduke of Austria.[66] George of Poděbrady sided with the Emperor, although the marriage of his daughter, who became known as Catherine in Hungary, to Matthias was celebrated on 1 May 1461.[56][67] Relations between Matthias and his father-in-law even deteriorated due to the presence of the Czech mercenaries in Upper Hungary.[68] Matthias launched a new campaign against them after the Diet authorized him to collect an extraordinary tax in the summer.[69] However, he did not defeat Jiskra who even captured Késmárk (Kežmarok, Slovakia).[43] The envoys of Matthias and Emperor Frederick agreed upon the terms of a peace treaty on 3 April 1462.[30] According to the agreement, the Emperor was to return the Holy Crown of Hungary for 80,000 golden florins, but his right to use the title of King of Hungary along with Matthias was confirmed.[30][64] In accordance with the treaty, the Emperor adopted Matthias, which granted him the right to succeed his "son" if Matthias died without a legitimate heir.[64][70]--Whitango (talk) 10:03, 15 July 2014 (UTC)

FYII am considering to take you in an ANI, because you erased several time from "Conquest of Carpathian basin... the explanation of the dispute between Romanian and Hungarian historians: "Political and ideological considerations, including the dispute between Hungary and Romania over Transylvania, have also colored these scholarly discussions" (Schramm). The One Man Army of EurocentralHe will not stop waging edit wars. He is doggedly determined to get POV across. This is not just about historical truths or ideologies. This is his ego at stake. He appears unable to separate ideas from people. He seems to have a persecution/martyr complex where any facts, ideas, hypotheses that contradict his personally held "truths" are seen as an attack on his very being. I'm afraid that he will only answer to disciplinary actions. TrixAreForKidsSillyRabbit (talk) 15:51, 20 October 2014 (UTC)

Consider trying to focus the discussion in the RfC about the lead, because it is approaching the 30-day limit. If editors reach a conclusion, they can ask for an uninvolved admin to close the RfC and state the result. At present the discussion seems unfocussed. Let me know if I can be of any assistance. Me and EurocentralBefore being blocked at the request of the relentless anti-sock fighter Thehoboclown, I need to offer you and User:Fakirbakir an explanation regarding my statement I assure you that Eurocentral is not my account, it would be a waste of time to ask for a SP investigation. Even though he acted at my instructions a couple of times, it is impossible to prove that. posted on a Wikimedia Commons talk page. It was a terrible misunderstanding, my intention wasn't at all to defiantly reveal an off-wiki cooperation of me to Eurocentral. Because of my semantical misidentification of "even if" with "even though", the meaning of my phrase was altered in a unfortunate way. He is not editing at my instructions and this should be obvious from his editing style. Also, the 79.112.x.x. IPs belong to him and not to me (I used to edit from the 79.117.x.x. range before being blocked for my "disruptive influence" to en.wikipedia). Cenamol (talk) 14:40, 27 October 2014 (UTC)

Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 09:09, 8 December 2014 (UTC) Was Hungarian nobility in the Principality of Translyvania or not?A IP editor wrote in article István Jósika that this man was a "Hungarian noble in the Principality of Transylvania". On the other hand in Hungarian nobility it is written that "The Hungarian nobility consisted of a privileged group of laymen, most of whom owned inheritable landed property, in the Kingdom of Hungary between the 1260s and 1946". There is a conflict, because Principality of Transylvania was not inside Kingdom of Hungary. By the definition from Hungarian nobility, someone outside Kingdom of Hungary can not be a member of Hungarian nobility
There are 2 contradictory statements: 1. "The Hungarian nobility consisted of a privileged group of laymen, most of whom owned inheritable landed property, in the Kingdom of Hungary (in Hungarian nobility article) 2. Baron István Jósika de Branyicska or Ştefan Jósika (? – 11 September 1598)[1] was a Romanian-born[2] Hungarian noble in the Principality of Transylvania (in István Jósika article) Statement 1 affirms that Hungarian nobility were a privileged group in the Kingdom of Hungary, while statement 2 affirms that Jósika belonged to the Hungarian nobility, despite the fact that he did not live in the Kingdom of Hungary (he lived in the Principality of Transylvania, but he is still said to be a member of the Hungarian nobility). I hope you understand my concern. This can be corrected in 2 ways 1. To write in the introduction of Hungarian nobility that Hungarian nobility also lived in the Principality of Transylvania 2. To write that Jósika was a member of the Transylvanian Hungarian nobility, unlinking Hungarian nobility which, according to the introduction, presents the nobility from the Kingdom of Hungary (and not from the Principality of Transylvania) Comment by Robert L. 94.21.10.195 (talk) 18:23, 9 December 2014 (UTC)
