I started to wonder though where the definition that you objected to might have come from. I found this. It seems the term 'radionics' is used in two very different ways.

Further thoughts re radionics. I looked into the New Oxford Dictionary of English (1998) and found "Radionics - a system of alternative medicine based on the supposition that detectable electromagnetic radiation emitted by living matter can be interpreted diagnostically and transmitted to treat illness at a distance by complex electrical instruments."

Based on this, I'm inclined to the view that the lead section of our article is basically correct as far as it goes, though it is far more casually worded than the dictionary I just quoted.

I looked at the Merriam-Webster Collegiate Dictionary which you suggested. 1993 edition. It does not list the word "radionics". Which edition did you look at please? Wanderer57 (talk) 22:11, 31 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You don't need to be an administrator to edit that page. That only happens with certain types of page protection. I also fixed your malformed sections on my talk. I'm afraid that the kangaroo court approach is also unacceptable. Boing! has not read what I wrote, otherwise he or she (and the other 2 parties who involved themselves) would not misconstrue the situation. I state there is no threat, there is only implication that Boing! was on a very thin line by threatening deletion of a newly completed page, and falsely claiming to know that there is only one person with the name disambiguated on the page. General media and I can fully dispute Boing!'s claim. There is also mixup on the page versions......the page which should be set for deletion is "Disambiguation.....", a previous version of Joseph Mungai (disambiguation). The deletion notice received did not state the previous version, so I'm specifically requesting that the 2nd version not be deleted. On page creation issues: There seems no way to change the page/article name during editing, so the older versions stay on, and from other talk received today, there was a redirect placed on the older version, so be careful which one is deleted. In response to your email request to be unblocked, you should be able to continue to post your unblock requests here - although you are blocked from general editing, you should still be able to edit this page. Alternatively, you can request an overturn of your block by email, by following the instructions at WP:BASC.

Regarding your assertion that there was no legal threat in your words - even if you do not intend to take legal action yourself, any suggestion in any dispute that the other person may face the possibility of legal action is considered a breach of WP:NLT, which says "It is important to refrain from making comments that others may reasonably understand as legal threats, even if the comments are not intended in that fashion." And if you check the responses to your block, you will see that there are three people here who agree that you were in breach of Wikipedia's legal threat policy - me, Favonian, and Max Semenik.

In order to be unblocked, you will need to unequivocally withdraw your "suggestion" (let's call it that) that my actions might get me or Wikipedia sued, and make a commitment to not use such tactics again in future.

In general, if you should face disagreement here about what is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia (and you certainly will, as that's the way collaborative projects work), you should approach other editors in a friendly and civil manner rather than angrily making demands of them. If someone changes something you have written, or deletes a page you have created, I know it can be frustrating. But there is usually a good reason for it - and you will make much better progress via civil inquiry rather than by confrontation.

Finally, you should have had time to read WP:Disambiguation now, so do you understand why the disambiguation page you created was inappropriate?

Here's the mid-drive newsletter. Participation: We have had 58 people sign up for this drive so far, which compares favorably with our last drive, and 27 have copy-edited at least one article. Guild of Copy Editors May 2012 backlog elimination drive wrap-up Participation: Out of 54 people who signed up this drive, 32 copy-edited at least one article. Last drive's superstar, Lfstevens, again stood out, topping the leader board in all three categories and copy-editing over 700 articles. Thanks to all who participated! Final results, including barnstars awarded, are available here. Progress report: We were once again successful in our primary goal—removing the oldest three months from the backlog—while removing 1166 articles from the queue, the second-most in our history. The total backlog currently sits at around 2600 articles, down from 8323 when we started out just over two years ago. Coodinator election: The six-month term for our third tranche of Guild coordinators will be expiring at the end of June. We will be accepting nominations for the fourth tranche of coordinators, who will also serve a six-month term. Nominations will open starting on June 5. Lfstevens continues to carry most of the weight, having edited 360 articles and over a quarter of a million words already. Thanks to all who have participated! Guild of Copy Editors September 2012 backlog elimination drive wrap-up Participation: Out of 41 people who signed up this drive, 28 copy-edited at least one article. Thanks to all who participated! Final results, including barnstars awarded, are available here. Progress report: We achieved our primary goal of clearing July, August, September and October 2011 from the backlog. This means that, for the first time since the drives began, the backlog is less than a year. At least 677 tagged articles were copy edited, although 365 new ones were added during the month. The total backlog at the end of the month was 2341 articles, down from 8323 when we started out over two years ago. We completed all 54 requests outstanding before September 2012 as well as eight of those made in September. GOCE November 2012 copy edit drive update

We completed all 56 requests outstanding before November 2012 as well as eight of those made in November. After a successful first iteration of the “Months of African Cinema” last year, we are happy to announce that it will be happening again this year, starting from October 1! In the 2018 edition of the contest, about 600 Wikipedia articles were created in at least 8 languages. There were also contributions to Wikidata and Wikimedia commons, which brought the total number of wikimedia pages created during the contest to over 1,000.
