So, if we go to User:Ctjf83/Ref and go down to "online newspapers" we get a template of <ref name=>{{cite news|title= |publisher=|author=|url=|date=|accessdate=}}</ref> Ok, so we start filling in information, for "ref name=" you can just add a description, maybe "New York Times" or what it is describing, like "Birthday" For example sake we'll call it NYT for New York Times. Then, just fill in all the rest of the entries you can, "title=" is "A Doll for the 90's: Beautiful but No Bimbo", "publisher" is "New York Times", etc. So we end up with something like:
Ok, then you just put that in the article where it belongs. The next time you use the reference, you would just put <ref name=NYT/>, Note you need the /, afterward or it won't work. I'm not sure what you mean by Cheong Kwon is an administrator and she will make you one. Users have to go through a process to become an Admin, so she can't make you one, and it doesn't appear she is one either As far as stalkers/vandalism from users/harassment etc, I'm not an admin, so i can't protect you from those. I can provide you with warning templates which you can put on the user's talk page after they vandalize a page or what ever they do, after the 3rd one or so, you can then report them to WP:AIV, and they will possibly be blocked from editing for a period of time. If they keep returning and with different user names, you can request protection so only specific people can edit the page, ie no new users. Any more questions, please feel free to ask! Well, I do understand how to do it a bit more now, BUT when you say "just put that in the article where it belongs."......WHERE DOES IT BELONG? I did try, and a huge RED warning came up saying I did something wrong. DO I PUT THE WHOLE LINE OF IMPROVED CITATION REF IN THE ACTUAL PLACE WHERE IT SAYS New York Times in the article and the [1] in the REFLIST or vice versa? ALSO...I see there is a "BillyBoyX" who edited the article and put citation needed in appropriate areas...this is great,...but A) Who is BillyBoyX ? BillyBoy* himself is very wary of people who use his name for pseudonyms....as his name has been abused by internet people....is it just someone helping the article??...or is is someone who swiped his name....?? and B) more importantly, we do have the citations but I have not a clue how to put them in...I have read the HELP pages, but honestly, it is really hard to understand for the time being....will tackle that later...as I want to understand the "just put that in the article where it belongs."for the moment. I really appreciate your help very much....and I hope you will simplify even more as it is not entirely clear for the moment. It is very likely CXheong Kwon, who initiated the article from New York will contacxt you as well, I have copied your reply to her and she is understanding alot better the technical aspects of Wikipedia...together I hope we'll do everything correctly. About the vandalism, if it happens again (and it was simply idiotic what he did if you check it out)....I will report it. He is not interested in the community of knowledge which Wiki is, but only interested in petty vandalism. He is not insulting only the artists of Mdvanii but moreso, all the people who have collaborated with the artists such as the couturiers and other artists, which is a real pity. BILLYBOYX = Yes, I have no problem with the "citation needed" which I will add as soon as I learn how. However, I am not comfortable witzh this editor using the creator's name, people have stolen and misused the name BillyBoy* alot and I do know legal action was necessary at times. Why suddenly is there a BillyBoyX on wikipedia? I speak French usually but my english skills are I'd say good, but I'll slightly dyslexic which makes for the confusion, Ms Kwon is alot more gifted for the logical part of Wikipedia....so, I have to go slowly. Now, I need to learn how to add a citation and add it to the line.... We have documents, tv appearances, certificates of acquisition from museums etc, how do I add these as citations? It should be a CITATION just where it is mentioned she is a "patented sculpting" When I tried putting it, it made a huge text right into the paragraph, which surely cannot be right. Do I put it in "Footnotes" ? It is the patent information. Is all this necessary? Can it be made shorter? In the citations EXAMPLES page, it gives you options and does not say where to put it. This info seems rather confidental to put on wikipedia....but do you think it is the usual thing to do? Putting patent numbers, there are none for other artist creations and none even for dolls. The COI is definitely a vandalism because he keeps putting it back and does NOT give any reasons, or suggestiong, I think it is an alias of a stalker....honestly, this COI is defintiely not true as you can see I am slowly building and verifying all sentences with documentation. CAn you remove it? MAJOR CONCERN RIGHT NOW IS: I am trying to still figure out how to put basic citations where it says "citation needed". I am desperately trying to improve this and feel a bit bewildered,...everything I have written and my collegue have written is pretty dry and accurate. No superlatives, I don't see any exaggerations or anything which i cannot back up with citations, which i am adding slowly as it is hard to figure out how to add them, each one is different and I have a huge archive of material I have to go through to defend each thing,...I cannot add 50 citations to back up each point, so I have to carefully re-read and add the most appropriate one....it's a slow process...i really would appreciate your support since this is a LGBTQ subject and it seems almost no one on wiki has an alliance with this community,....it's a radical subject for some and I am concerned, from what I know of the climate outside our unusually tolerant country, that it may seem COI to people no tin the least bit concerned by LGBTQ contemporary art. It may be asking too much for some editors and this is a concern which I hope is unjustified, I like to think the historic and intellectual community which wiki is is above racism as any sort....also, these few stalkers, are murderous and contemptuous...they really have it in for the artists (only a handful) but as you saw int he beginning, one was totally schizoid.... I wrote to Mr Leivick as sincerely as possible to make him understand my real desire to make this perfect...I hope he'll help us and I hope you will be an allie to make this article great. Oh, I see, I am genuinely sorry...the two comments seemed really biased and very clear that the persons leaving these comments clearly do not actually know the subject at all, perhaps they are biased thinking we are biased. We are not and are entirely willing to make the article as encyclopedic as possible and have no desire to write a "puff piece" or flattering text. I have been asking other wikipedians for help and even adoption, I think the holiday season is delaying the replies. If you could guide me to an editor who can help me, I'd be very grateful. So far one wikipedian has kindly helped and I am still awaiting further replies. We are in the process of adding all citations, for which there are many, to back up and substantiate the text. The article as it currently stands reads like a advertisement or artist's statement the tags are very appropriate. I have no conflict of interest and it's not very fair to claim I do...and IF I do inadvertantly, tell me what sentences are COI,...for example what is COI, and tell me how to change them...please. I don't think the tags are appropriate and the article, I cannot see how can be otherwise, seems like it is telling the basic story. The subject is very rich. In the art and fashion business, the descriptives used in articles are very glamorous, I did not invent th names of the articles ... they are the genuine historic references...so what does someone suggest to correct this? I still feel Alan Poole is vandalizing the article,.... I have been asking for help in adding citations. The basic citations needed...how do I add them...`? I would appreciate it if Mr Leivick would tell me how to UN COI my article...what needs to be done to improve it? Nobody seems to tell me specifics...and I have asked a number of wiki editors....I only get people saying COI and then disappearing,,,,,,what shall we do? The whole artowrk has been clearly expressed as a she from the beginning by the artists and many many third parties...that was the point to imbue sexes into artworks...thats part of the whole point about what makes her unique to these artists....should it be made clearer as to WHY she is called a she? and not an it? Also,
1)gay issues as a precedent in a doll/artwork 2) use of real haute couture.... this phrase is essential I think to express in brief the main aspect of what the work is about and known for in Paris, France. She was made in a matt Caron make-up toned hard resin and 25 centimeters tall. She was the first anatomically-correct fashion doll with an adult (non-parody) storyline including homosexual, lesbian and bisexual personality traits. She was presented with a wardrobe of high fashion clothes made in France with identical construction as human-scale clothes Shall I put it elsewhere?
