Interurban Rail Transport in UK

About Rail usage statistics by country Are you serious friend ? in 1.6 billions passenger-km you added 1 billion is London Metro urban rail (London Overground Metrorail+London commuter trains), have a look here http://orr.gov.uk/__data/assets/pdf_file/0005/18095/passenger-rail-usage-2014-15-q4.pdf (page 5: One billion is for London Metro, Half billion for interurban rail usage). One billion of your stats is to be placed here : Lists of rapid transit systems.

Can you really believe UK interurban rail usage is the same as China? with a huge rail network and 1.5 billion population mostly less rich than in UK to purchase a car. Please do not compare Rail Stats in UK to Spain, France and Germany: Spain they used unreasonably European funds to subside a huge High Spead Rail in the spanish mountains and France & Germany they forbided bus transport, they also picked up so much money from EU to fund their european coridors, they are in the center of Euope have much transborder rail traffic and restricted or forbided Easyjet and Ryanair hubs.

Rail usage

Thanks for your explanations Argovian, i do agree that stats of other countries like what you said added to netherlands and Belgium are so dificult to believe too: persons in these last countries for instance use too much their car they have excellent free motorways. It seems that is not related to the usage of the rail that is rather the question of whatever if the national rail compagny manages the urban suburb rails or not. Europe 10,000 Challenge invite

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Europe/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like Germany, Italy, the Benelux countries, Iberian Peninsula, Romania, Slovenia etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. Greater London vs London region!

On the page [[1]] if I click London on the list of the regions, it transfers me to the Greater London. All of this is quite confusing, and I would appreciate it if you be so kind to clarify what's correct; is the Greater London region and ceremonial county or just county? Thanks!
